I've had multiple negative experiences at this Panera Bread location due to the attitude of one employee. Each time I visit, he seems irritated by simple requests. For example, I asked for my bagel to be cut in half--something I've requested before--and he responded as if it was unusual or inconvenient. He also didn't ask for my phone number for rewards, and I had to bring it up myself. Throughout the order, he repeatedly said "anything else" in a way that felt rushed and dismissive, even though I was ordering quickly and respectfully. I've worked in food service, so I understand the environment--but basic courtesy goes a long way. I just want a smoother, more respectful experience when I come in. Panera Bread as a chain used to be great. They seem to be worse and worse every time I go. Regarding the location in Fuquay in particular, I don't think we'll be back. The last 2 times we went, the portions were skimpy. Barely any meat on my sandwich (like not even a full slice of ham) and didn't look anywhere near as good as it looks in the photo. And it was supposed to be one of the new specialty sandwiches. Tasted ok for what it was, but nothing special. Salad was small, they forgot the bread. Soup was barely warm. Panera got rid of all the good bakery items like the Cobblestone and Bear Claw, extremely disappointing. Especially since it doesn't seem like they replaced them with anything tasty either. I have received not one but TWO uber eats orders from this location with a live fly inside the sealed bag. Imagine opening the bag for your lunch and a fly is just crawling all over the loose bread in the bag! Disgusting. I didn't even order the second time, I received someone else's order and extra fly for protein. How are there that many flies that they are regularly bagging them up and distributing them across the town? This place must have horrible sanitation. read more

I come here quite frequently. I have never gone to such a slow moving mobile order process as awful as this one. be prepared to sit in line for 15-20 minutes no matter how busy it is. I ALWAYS end up having to leave my house 20 mins earlier for my drive through order because the service continues to be the slowest and I end up being late for my plans because of it. If they're are understaffed on a day that's one thing, but for this to be a continuous issue is beyond annoying. read more

The staff here is so friendly and helpful. I joined the coffee club several months ago and I feel like everyone got to know me pretty quickly after that. Panera itself has come a long way. I placed my lunch order online for rapid pick-up and it was ready in under 10 minutes. I went with the Margherita flatbread pizza meal with a half Caesar salad and my husband chose the toasted steak & white cheddar sandwich with an apple. You can order only the flatbread or the meal, the meal comes with your choice of a half soup, salad or sandwich. The flatbread was really good and the sandwich was good too, it just looked like it had been thrown together a tad too fast. This location is larger so they have a nice indoor and outdoor seating area. read more

The first time my family and I tried to order from the Panera in Fuquay, the restaurant was completely out of bread. No sandwiches, no bread bowls or baguettes. The second time we tried to order (a week later), I placed an order online only to have it cancelled via email. No text message notification. I then drove over to place my order in person only to find the drive-thru and restaurant closed. No sign - just closed, mid-day on a Thursday afternoon. I won't go to this Panera again. We love Panera for a quick but fresh breakfast, lunch or dinner. Had to take a star off though because we have done a mobile order a few times and our items are not ready when we arrive even when giving an extra 5-15 mins. The staff has always been nice and appear very busy so assuming it's a corporate level issue allowing too many online orders during any given time frame. We still will be back for more of our favorite "you pick two" combos though! read more

I almost always ask for extra sauce or extra dressing, and hardly ever do I get it - even after confirming with the cashier that it's in the bag before I drive off. Extra sauce on a sandwich does NOT mean, don't put any at all on the sandwich and only give me a cup on the side - it means I want both! Also only got one singular bite of chicken on a salad with chicken - Panera is too expensive to be skimpy like that. I ordered for delivery. The order was less than 5 Miles away. When out for delivery it showed to start 23 min. Then went to 8 then went to 23. It was delivered about 40 min after order was placed. The delivery vehicle was full of 4 people. The passenger held my food in her lap. The food was cold and no straw. I called Panera and they said they might refund but needed to call door dash. I called door dash and they referred Panera. Nothing was done. I'm upset my food was cold and it was touched by more than one person in a car full of two adults and two children. We ordered online in anticipation of our food being ready when we got to the restaurant. My sandwich and my wife's salad were ready on time but the kids Mac n cheese dinners were not made. We watched the kitchen pour the premade proportioned Mac n cheese packets and got to the table and both were ice cold. Second time my online order has been screwed up. I will not be ordering from Panera again. My family needs to eat. I'm sick with a fever and I have a husband who can't drive because of low vision. I checked my online. order status about 20 minutes after I placed it and noticed that some of the items I ordered were missing. A bowl of soup that I accidentally ordered and deleted was still listed. I called the store and asked to have it corrected. I was informed that there was nothing they could do about it due to lack of help. They told me they could give me a refund. I assumed it was for the soup that shouldn't have been on the order. Went to this Panera today in the middle of the afternoon. After standing waiting to order about five minutes (employee walking past to take food to the drive through) I used the electronic order screen which is the least intuitive system I've ever used Ordered a cup of soup and the half sandwich with the chicken almond salad. I also ordered a lemonade, knowing that you fix that drink yourself. If they're going to have both hot cups and cold cups sitting side-by-side there should be something that lets you know which is which. When I asked about lids the girl snootily told me that those were hot cups not cold cups I didn't have the right cup. I guess I was supposed to use my psychic powers to know that there were hot cups and cold cups. When my food came I was extremely disappointed that my half sandwich had enough lettuce, which I can't eat, to make a bowl of salad and about a tablespoon of chicken salad. Probably will never go this location again. I did let a staff member know that the couple walking out was leaving because they had stood there at least five minutes (while I fumbled with the screen to order) waiting to order. Joke of a Panera. Ordered a simple take out with soup, two sandwiches, a bagel and a cookie. Sandwich could barely be classified as a sandwich with the lack of substance - thinner than a deck of cards. Sides were not included in the bag, bagel was not the kind I ordered, and randomly got a full salad in the bag that someone else is probably now missing. Would have rated this location atleast 4 stars as Panera Bread was one of my favorite restaurants but they decided to stop delivering to my residence. I had food delivered to my house and then tried 3 weeks later and the app states that delivery is not available in my area. They still deliver to the high school right across from my house though. I contacted corporate about their policy on delivery areas and then could not provide me with an answer to my question. I am addicted to the broccoli cheddar soup bowl and chicken frontage chipolte sandwich. It is always delicious and made fresh. I have seen many videos about the kitchen sink cookie and showing it being oowy and gooy well worth the $5.25 they charge for this large cookie. Not mine today! It was HARD, not crispy, and obviously days old. I come here often for some quiet time to work, read, or meet friends & clients because the food and service is always the best. Today I tried the grain bowl for the first time and it was excellent! For dessert I had the crumb cake which was very crumby ha ha, and delicious. Review based solely on curbside pickup. Ordered simple meals (2 bread bowls) ahead of time to be picked up. Arrived a little early than our time anticipated and clicked the "I'm here" button in email. Wired for at least 8 minutes and nothing. I decided to call and ask about the order. They asked for my name and I gave to them. Then they just said " ok it'll be right out". Even after I said we had been waiting for 8 minutes and clicked the button in the email. It's like they didn't even use the automated system that tells them when someone is here to pick up. There are even signs that say to do that when you arrive. It should not take longer than 5 minutes for food to be delivered curbside at Panera. Very dissappointed with the service for curbside.
