Their meat slicer is NOT a prop like at other places: all meats and cheeses are sliced in front of you when you order at the counter. Excellent selection of cold subs and their bread is wonderful! On top of all of this, they are wicked fast! I do kind of wish they had more hot subs but I haven't even sampled any of the hot subs they have - I'm still working my way through the cold subs. Real good tasting sub! I can't believe I haven't found this place before now! I got there in the middle of the afternoon so there wasn't a wait-just being a grubhub order. The place is clean they've got 9 tables with chairs and a great location down in Fuquay Varina! I ordered the Jersey devil with crushed hot pepper relish and oil . The Rolls are better than many, as soon as I fit into it I realized these are fresh vine ripened tomatoes! Good amount of meat and great quality! This place hands down makes the best and biggest subs in the area if not the entire Triangle. It's locally owned and operated, the kid who owns it looks to be about 12 but he can make killer subs. The restaurant itself is always super clean and tidy and service is almost top notch. They are very friendly and work hard to get your order exactly right. My favorite sub is I think #14 the Jersey Devil. It has soooo much meat. The first one I took home I weight it and it was 3lbs. If you go to Subway you are lucky if your sub is half a pound and pretty much costs the same. There is a photo of one on the scale topping out at 2lbs10oz. The subs are so big I always have them quarter them for me and they pretty much make four meals. The most epic thing I did once was order one for a motorcycle trip then I rode straight to the top of Mt. Mitchell where I enjoyed one of these subs. My only beef I have with them...they have a loyalty program. I always get the Jersey Devil which is one of the most expensive subs at $17 (was $13 when they first opened). This is not a problem because it's so much food. So I was in there and went to redeem my free sub and I had my kids and they usually get a small ham sub or a turkey sub which is about $8. I checked out and went on my way but didn't notice until I got home that they redeemed my free sub for $8 instead of the big one!!! Of all the places Ive ever been with loyalty programs they always give you the most expensive one for free....I guess here you have to make a separate order to do that. Felt like my loyalty got taken advantage of. Lesson learned. read more

Guys, if you've been looking for the ULTIMATE New Jersey subs transplant, search no more. This is pure Jersey Shore sandwhiching. Not even Jersey Mike's has brought me this close to home. It starts with the bread. When I looked them up online and saw their work, I knew JBS was worth checking out. They had me with the bread. Then came the meat slicing. It was such a familiar scene that I had to take a picture of it to show my family, who all moved here before me. I ordered the "Boss" because it looked closest to the stuff I ate up north. Shot the breeze with the owner's son who told me a bit about their beginnings. It looked like a clean, simple place. I was gradually becoming more and more excited. It seemed as if I'd found my new spot for subs. Perfect. The prep, the build, the presentation, the taste. This sub shop was really good. They have a lot of options, my husband and I both chose a half Jersey Boy! Club and my mom chose a half meatball sub. All subs come straight up, that includes lettuce, onion, tomato, salt, Jersey Juice and spices. I also added mayo and honey mustard. The meat was thinly sliced and all of the subs were tasty. I liked that they had Miss Vickie's chips too, I chose sea salt. If you are in the area, check this spot out. read more

Quality sandwich very similar to Jersey Mikes. Nice big menu with a lot to choose from and all the classic sub toppings. Only reason it's not a 4 is the staff aren't the friendliest and I really just enjoy friendly service. But overall a good, casual place for a sub! read more

I only just finished my meal a few minutes ago, but it was so outstanding that I felt I HAD to leave a review ASAP. Forget about any chain sandwich places in the area, Jersey Boy blows them out of the water in every category. The bread is fresh and better than you'll find anywhere else. The meat has a great flavor to it and they are generous with the portion. If you get a club, you get crispy bacon that's actually chopped for you, not laid down as a full piece inside the sandwich. So you're not struggling with it the entire time. I LOVE an extra little touch like that. Me and a friend got a small sandwich each and traded a half so we could get some variety out of it. I almost had trouble finishing mine. Talk about bang for you buck. I stopped ordering sandwiches for awhile because the chain places got so disappointing not only in portion, but in complete lack of flavor. I was super excited to try this place because of the awesome Yelp reviews, so I decided to pick up subs for my boyfriend and I for lunch today. I walk into the sub shop and I'm greeted with silence. There were 3 guys working, no masks during the pandemic when cases are at an all-time high. I decided to overlook it because the subs looked delicious. I ate here on a Monday evening with one other person for dinner. These are my thoughts and observations. - The location Yelp has listed is somewhat inaccurate. The GPS will take you to a vape store across the street, but Jersey Boys is really next to Staples. - The decor reminds me of budget Jersey Mike's. - The establishment was clean and the employees were friendly. - They have your standard sub options with standard sub prices. - Their subs were strictly average. I really wanted to like this place. I love East coast jersey subs. However I must say I was highly disappointed. For the good: bread is fresh and good. They are a local establishment, which is why it pains me to write a bad review. But look, the selection is average...nothing special to be blown away by. But the worse part is how thin and skimpy the amount of meat and cheese is that they put on the rolls. And this is no fluke...been here twice now. Paper thin slices of meat. You can barely taste the bread. This place also needs to get a wow factor sandwich going and a great homemade sandwich spread. Think Caprioti's people.....now they got signature sandwiches. I have never stepped foot in this place as I've been lucky enough to have members of my family pick up our phone orders. From my family members? The people that work there are friendly on the phone, super helpful when you arrive and the orders are always right. The sandwiches????? ON POINT! Let me be clear, I am but a sandwich person but I choose this place because it's fantastic. The bread is amazing and the ingredients are fresh and flavorful. You're not paying for frills here, you're paying for a good, simple deli sub. Have had the jersey boy a couple times now with sweet peppers added and it's a great sandwich. Went in tonight as a first time customer! Born and raised in New York so I know a good deli sub. This place is out of this world! I got The Boss sub, loaded with all the veggies and "Jersey Juice" and hands down best sub I've ever tasted! The thing was as long as my arm and had to weigh at least 3 to 4 pounds haha!
