    6. The Boss Sub
    Joe C.

Great little sub shop. First time in quite some time I couldn't finish a sandwich. Absolutely loaded with meat. Had the boss and the jersey boy, both variations of an Italian. Fantastic subs. Bread was really good. Better than most but not a true fresh Italian roll. Which is reason for 4 rating instead of 5. Huge portion great quality and great price. Will surely be back when I'm in Nc.

This place hands down makes the best and biggest subs in the area if not the entire Triangle. It's locally owned and operated, the kid who owns it looks to be about 12 but he can make killer subs. The restaurant itself is always super clean and tidy and service is almost top notch. They are very friendly and work hard to get your order exactly right. My favorite sub is I think #14 the Jersey Devil. It has soooo much meat. The first one I took home I weight it and it was 3lbs. If you go to Subway you are lucky if your sub is half a pound and pretty much costs the same. There is a photo of one on the scale topping out at 2lbs10oz. The subs are so big I always have them quarter them for me and they pretty much make four meals. The most epic thing I did once was order one for a motorcycle trip then I rode straight to the top of Mt. Mitchell where I enjoyed one of these subs. My only beef I have with them...they have a loyalty program. I always get the Jersey Devil which is one of the most expensive subs at $17 (was $13 when they first opened). This is not a problem because it's so much food. So I was in there and went to redeem my free sub and I had my kids and they usually get a small ham sub or a turkey sub which is about $8. I checked out and went on my way but didn't notice until I got home that they redeemed my free sub for $8 instead of the big one!!! Of all the places Ive ever been with loyalty programs they always give you the most expensive one for free....I guess here you have to make a separate order to do that. Felt like my loyalty got taken advantage of. Lesson learned.

Too fancy. Jersey subs get Lays potato chips.

Google Maps dropped me off in the street, so I looked around a bit. It's right next to the Weight Watchers in the strip mall. Guys, if you've been looking for the ULTIMATE New Jersey subs transplant, search no more. This is pure Jersey Shore sandwhiching. Not even Jersey Mike's has brought me this close to home. It starts with the bread. When I looked them up online and saw their work, I knew JBS was worth checking out. They had me with the bread. Then came the meat slicing. It was such a familiar scene that I had to take a picture of it to show my family, who all moved here before me. I ordered the "Boss" because it looked closest to the stuff I ate up north. Shot the breeze with the owner's son who told me a bit about their beginnings. It looked like a clean, simple place. I was gradually becoming more and more excited. It seemed as if I'd found my new spot for subs. Perfect. The prep, the build, the presentation, the taste. When I brought my sister's order to her, she opened the bag and immediately squeeled "It smells like them!" (meaning subs from home.) Yes guys, you've made at least two new fans. Okay bye.

Quality sandwich very similar to Jersey Mikes. Nice big menu with a lot to choose from and all the classic sub toppings. Only reason it's not a 4 is the staff aren't the friendliest and I really just enjoy friendly service. But overall a good, casual place for a sub!

This sub shop was really good. They have a lot of options, my husband and I both chose a half Jersey Boy! Club and my mom chose a half meatball sub. All subs come straight up, that includes lettuce, onion, tomato, salt, Jersey Juice and spices. I also added mayo and honey mustard. The meat was thinly sliced and all of the subs were tasty. I liked that they had Miss Vickie's chips too, I chose sea salt. If you are in the area, check this spot out.

This is a HALF! #16 Turkey and roast beef.

For example, I asked for my bagel to be cut in half--something I've requested before--and he responded as if it was unusual or inconvenient. He also didn't ask for my phone number for rewards, and I had to bring it up myself. Throughout the order, he repeatedly said "anything else" in a way that felt rushed and dismissive, even though I was ordering quickly and respectfully. The last 2 times we went, the portions were skimpy. Barely any meat on my sandwich (like not even a full slice of ham) and didn't look anywhere near as good as it looks in the photo. And it was supposed to be one of the new specialty sandwiches. Tasted ok for what it was, but nothing special. Salad was small, they forgot the bread. Soup was barely warm. Panera got rid of all the good bakery items like the Cobblestone and Bear Claw, extremely disappointing. Especially since it doesn't seem like they replaced them with anything tasty either. Drive through speed was average and worker was ok but didn't seem very happy. Might go back for a bagel, but that's about it.

I found a coupon and decided we should try it since there's one that recently opened in FV and close to our activity. The coupon didn't work because the name is not the same anymore. It used to be called Sweetberry bowl. The changed happened sometime in the summer. So, I ordered one sweet and one savoury bowls. They also have sandwiches and smoothies. For the savoury Poke bowl, I got spicy crab, seaweed salad, corn, cucumber, rice puff, and furikake all on a bed of brown rice. I like it. The spicy crab has a heat but not too strong that you can't taste anything else. The seaweed salad is nice and fresh. For the sweet bowl, I got pitaya(dragon fruit with açai), granola, blueberries, Nutella, and bee pollen. That was pretty good. The bee pollen is interesting but it's a good one to have in this cold, flu and allergy season. (Lol) the blueberries are huge and sweet. Definitely a place to come back again.

They do still make some of the bowls that were offered when this location was sweet berry bowls or something like that up until this past April when it became Supabowlz. Oh, not a fan of the music played in here but there are a few tables out front in a small outdoor seating area.

So while I was around, I decided to look for it and we found it. It looks big on the outside and when you go in the left side, your gaze will lock into this spot to your right and it will suddenly transport you to an Italian villa to park yourself on the couch. I wanted to do this but our eyes caught more, the walls, the other cozy table and chairs, the bar like set up to get your coffee, tea, refreshers, or simply eat there. Along the wall by the cashier, they offer to go treats, dark chocolate bars, beef jerky's, cheese bites, high end chips... the pastry display will soon be packed with other goodies that they get delivered. Right now, they have muffins, lemon bars. I also saw a deli meat since they will be serving charcuterie too. By the back door to the patio, they sell bottled drink of all sorts, some I've never seen. We bought a refresher and a chocolate bar that I thought were delicious. The chocolate is of high quality and will bring you satisfaction. The wine area, located to the right side can be closed off for private events or other events. They will offer wine tasting, bottle that you can purchase whether cold or room temp. Once the area is fully finished and stocked, this will be a beautiful spot. The bathrooms are gorgeous and spacious. You will need to check it out for yourself. Lastly, the owners are so nice. I've never met them before but she is the warmest being. She gave us a tour, explained to us how they operate and that soon she will be posting events located above the building where you can enter at the door with an awning 2a. Also, soon, if you are seating outside in the back, you can tap at the small window to order a drink. How convenient is that? Right now, please be patient as they still work out all the kinks to perfect their spot. It is a nice place to go while we wait for our children doing sports near by.
