Personally, I love Panera. I've never had any problems with any location until I've dealt with this one. A few months ago in October, my mom and I stopped by the drive-thru. We ordered our usual, but I noticed on the screen that my sandwich in the u-pick 2 was not listed. So typically they ask "is everything on the screen correct" in which I say no, because I do not see my sandwich listed. I just wanted to make sure it was rung correctly and was told that it's there, the text or something for the u-pick 2 is just too long. So essentially I was reaffirmed twice at the menu and once at the window that my sandwich was at in the order. Not in a rude manner at all, and i wasn't certainly being rude at all either. The receipt showed everything and there it was. so anyways we got our food and we drove home to Pensacola. We're taking everything out and my sandwich is nowhere to be found. I immediately call the store to let them know, and also say I'm sorry and that I'm not about to drive back out there just for a teeny half sandwich. My sandwich was the main topic of the entire ordering process cause I was just making sure it was being accounted for and now it's no where in the bag. The manager was nice and said she could mail a coupon for the price of the sandwich, which I am totally okay with. This incident happened October 2nd and I didn't receive my coupon until December 9th or 10th. The envelope was time stamped for December 8th. And the kicker, the coupon expires December 31st. I waited 2 months for a coupon to only have like 3 weeks to use it. This to me is completely insane. I had to set it aside because I had a lot going on. Finals finishing up, graduating, dealing with family coming into town, being sick, working, and looking for apts in another city before a certain work deadline. Now, I've worked in a chain restaurant before, and was a manager. Whenever I dealt with refunds, they were never expire-able or a limited time only offer. it was taken care of immediately and was available for whenever the customer could conveniently come back to our location. I've since moved, and don't ever plan on going back to this Panera. Such a shame, cause I am a "Breezer" and this Panera isn't really bringing any value to the town. read more

I don't even know where to begin with this. Somehow every single component of our order tasted off and nearly inedible. The soba noodle soup tasted like it had sat for hours, the broth being so thick and dark it almost tasted like powder and looked more like a sauce than a soup. The salad had the complete wrong dressing and the sandwich was just as equally disappointing. Not worth the price whatsoever. Spare your wallet and your tastebuds and eat somewhere else. read more

Picked up a rapid pick up order this morning and my breakfast sandwich was wrong - didn't realize until I had already arrived at work. Called and spoke to Scott (manager) who said he would make the right sandwich and bring it right over to my office! He even threw some macaroons in with my order when he brought it to my office. Crazy long waits. The manager was rude and obviously overwhelmed by being short handed. My suggestion for all the restaurants who are short handed after the pandemic is that you should have taken better care of your employees when things had to close. I don't have any sympathy for the industry. You're just going to have to be more efficient and get used to less employees. Everyone in a drive through shouldn't have to wait 30 min. for one order to be filled. Next time have them pull forward and walk their order out to them. This is probably the worst Panera bread location I've been too ! The lady at the register was giving everyone an attitude for no reason . If u don't want to work here don't but don't be rude to everyone . She was extremely rude and treated me horrible like I've never been here before. It took me maybe a minute to order and she act like it was a complete inconvenience to her. Mind you, there was even a line . I watched her look at every construction worker that came in like garbage like we shouldn't be here . The food is fine but the customer service needs work . This Panera location was atrocious. We stopped there today to get coffee because we both have the coffee subscription. The individual asked what I wanted and I said I had the coffee subscription. He said enter your number on the pin pad. I did so and he handed me a bag. I said what's this? He said your cup. I said I would like a large iced coffee. The bag had a medium hot coffee cup in it. He ignored me. My husband said I have the subscription as well and entered his number and was given a bag too with a medium cup. The Panera employee never asked us what we wanted. I said again I wanted an iced coffee do you have a cup? And he said it's in the back and tossed a pager thing down on the counter. So I went to the back And waited awhile and some kid slammed down a drink and walked away. I asked if it was an iced coffee and he ignored me. I cannot believe how rude these people are. What they serve at Panera is no secret. There's an endless number of locations across the US. What sets each location apart is service and while this store was spotless at 6:45 when we arrived and the staff was friendly, the outcome of our order was disappointing. When going on fishing charters we frequent Panera often. It's much better than Subway and opens at 6am so we can often grab breakfast and lunch to go. There were three of us. We all ordered lunch sandwiches and breakfast items, and if I remember correctly our bill totaled roughly $40, possibly a bit more. The pastries tasted great, as they always do. The sweet tea was fine. However, after waiting 15 minutes for our order to be completed, we walked out to the car and realized their forgot one of our breakfast sandwiches. We walked back inside and they apologized, letting us know they accidentally gave it to a customer who drove through the drive through. It would only take 10 more minutes to make a new one, they told us. We were late for fishing and had to leave (without them offering a refund). While ordering sandwiches (the trainer took our order) we asked for the mayo and spreads/etc to be put on the side. She said that was a good idea as they would be sitting in a cooler all day and could get the bread mushy. The trainer (cashier) asked for it to be on the side and gave us packets of mustard/mayo/etc. Four hours later we stopped the boat to eat lunch and had to throw all our sandwiches to the sharks: they were mushy and covered in mayo. More than half our order wasn't eaten because it either didn't make it into our bag or wasn't edible due to the wrong items being given to us. Sadly, we were starving and drove to Jason's Deli near the airport on our way out of town. I'm sure this isn't the normal Panara experience, but unfortunately it was ours. And, I'm not a guy looking for a free meal voucher. I eat out three times a day, five days a week and more than 300 days a year. My reviews are always truthful or I'd lose credibility. Hopefully, management can use this review as a lesson for the staff, because this isn't the Panera experience we are used to. read more

Ordered Napa chix and black bean. Chicken sand had lettuce, tomato, grapes, almond, other veg, but no savory taste, just tasted bland. Black bean soup was salty, had it not been salty would have been enjoyble. I was not able to finish soup after several spoons. No piece of bread as they usually serve. Told the cashier about soup, response was oh sorry, will let them now. Mgr. at tegistet said nothing hope is because he was closing out cashiers. This place is ridiculous. I ordered 2 sandwiches two little cups of soup and a chai tea latte. The order was placed for two people. It was 35 bucks and it was a really small amount of food. Save your 35 bucks and go to a restaurant. This place is designed for people who have uber amounts of money and don't know what to do with it. . Our rented house was hit hard by hurricane Sally and we had nowhere to stay. We spent the day after sitting outside Panera Bread (the only place we could find with chairs) with our luggage hoping a friend would be able to get to us to pick us up despite problems with bridges down and impassable streets. The restaurant was closed but the manager had come to look at the damage. He brought out sandwiches and bottled water for us which we were very grateful for. Thanks!! read more

My wife and I eat at this location about once a month. The food is okay and reasonably priced. On our last visit I was shocked when the young lady "cleaning" the tables wiped the table next to us with used napkins that the last customers left behind. Worse she had another employee following her that she was training. I am a chain restaurant person. I like knowing what to expect. We ate lunch here during our Pensacola Beach vacation. Although a little pricey, about $40, we were happy. I got the turkey blt with avocado and broccoli-cheese soup. Sandwich was good. Soup was heavenly. I also love their French bread. Husband got the Asiago steak sandwich. He said it was okay, then I microwaved it, and he liked it a lot better. He said the baked potato soup was okay but liked mine better. One kid got the PBJ and a banana. She was happy. The other kid got the Mac&Cheese and ate it all. I am definitely willing to pay more to know that the food is clean and healthy. I love Panera! read more

So happy that this place has come to Gulf Breeze. Same fresh sandwiches made to order. The drive thru line was a bonus, but I did not want to utilize it because a friend and I wanted to sit and eat. Love the add a cookie/pastry for .99 cents deal. I would have given the place 4 stars but when the school across the street let out and all the kids poured into the place it got a little "crazy"---back packs everywhere, no tables and loud--thought I was in the school cafeteria. Tonight, my friend and I came in around 9 pm to get some bagels for breakfast and the girl who was taking our order at the counter made our experience extremely uncomfortable. First of all, she was very rude when explaining the sizes of orders, dozen versus bakers dozen. Then when we were choosing bagels, my friend was asking me for suggestions and I suggested Asiago and the girl immediately reacted by saying "ew those are gross." Those are our favorite bagels and she made us feel very uncomfortable. And then when we were deciding cream cheeses, she again blurted out her opinion and dissed one of our favorite flavors. I got her name but I will keep it to myself. Needless to say, I was not happy with her service. I can not think of a time when I was that uncomfortable while receiving service. read more

Panera has. Hanged everything so with their Chicken Cobb salad w/avocado it is just all wrong. If you want avocado like it used to be it is a $.49 UPCHARGE. THERE IS NO Gorgonzola cheese, no bacon pieces, no choice of salad dressings (not everyone likes green goddess dressing), they don't slice the avocado nor the eggs, & the pickled onions add NOTHING!!
