This was our first visit and we decided to dine in. The decor is lovely and they had some live acoustic music, which was a nice surprise. We made a reservation online and were seated immediately and I highly recommend doing this since it gets quite busy. This would have been a 5 star experience, but the food took way too long to come out. It took a while for our server to come over and we ordered an app and our mains at the same time. The summer rolls came out 20 mins later, but were fresh and served with a nice peanut butter sauce. After 40-50 minutes of waiting, out mains arrived! My wife had been craving Panang Curry and this one really hit the spot. It was a good sized portion and was packed full of flavor. My dish was the sizzling Sesame and Ginger beef, served in a smoking hot cast iron skillet with rice on the side. I really enjoyed the flavors in this dish and how the hot pan charred some of the veggies and meat. This is something to experience in house - definitely couldn't be the same as take out. The food was just what we were craving and even though the wait was long, it was worth it. Obviously this is a popular place and we probably watched about 20 takeout orders get picked up while we were waiting for our food. I hope they can better manage the kitchen to prioritize dine in guests in the future though, because it is a really beautiful restaurant to eat at. After more than 20 years at its original location, Siam Thai, they're in a new and larger space at 7164 N. Ninth Ave. Owners Navapart Chanwatthanaphong and her son Ithipol "Thor" have totally transformed the place into a beautiful homage to Thailand, with hanging lanterns, hand-carved elephants, and a lovely outdoor patio, and more. Sweet!!! They still have some of my personal favorites like dishes like Pad Thai, Drunken Noodles, and lemongrass curry, with a number of new menu choices like pork salad, blanket shrimp with mango sauce, and more options for khao soi. More new stuff is pretty cool like a smoothie bar, soft-serve ice cream station, and an expanded and dedicated gift shop. Bottom line: The staff, service, and atmosphere are terrific but the food is hands down the best Thai cuisine you can get anywhere, short of hopping on a 9,000-mile flight to Bangkok. As pretty much everyone stated. The decor and ambiance are by far impressive. The staff was pleasant! I was there on a night when it wasn't packed. Apps and entrees were delightful; tasty, freshly prepared, worth the price vs the portion, but what struck me was how many items were not available-hence the 4 star rating. It happens, but there were at least three items that we asked for and had to go with an alternative, totally fine, but worth noting. We went the day after their grand reopening at their new location. Almost didn't find a parking spot for the lack of parking. We have to fight with the gym next door. Literally saw someone with a gym bag get a front parking spot and walk to the gym. Inside was super cool. Caught some of the staff talking about the owners traveling to get the items to decorate the inside. Wanted to order wine and they only had single serve barefoot wine...I'm sorry if I'm paying $20+ for a plate of food I would prefer something more...not a grocery store wine. We waited over a hour and we were told our meal would be another 45-50 minutes out....and that was the appetizer as well. If this place was so popular prior to the move how did it become so disorganized? Looking over the menu and with 30+ items maybe ring it in a little? Maybe we will check back in a month hopefully the survive this transition because it didn't look like anyone that night was getting any food. read more

Tried the new location for lunch, and the food is the same delicious quality we have enjoyed for years at the old location. There have been a lot of negative reviews for the time it takes to get food out of the kitchen, so I set timers. We arrived at 11:30 and got our order in to the kitchen 4 minutes after arrival, since we put it in with the drinks and told our server we had to get back to work. The appetizer came out in 40 minutes, and our entrees 11 minutes after that. So from sitting down to having all our food took exactly 55 minutes. Our other negative observation is the seating. Some of the tables are really squished together and guests have to move furniture around to sit down. This is not true for every table, but for ours it meant bumping into strangers at times. I think once these kinks can be worked out it will easily reclaim 5-star status for offering the most delicious Thai food in Pensacola. Of particular note are the Pad Thai, any of the coconut curries, and their amazing Papaya salad. Go hungry, order extra, and take the leftovers home to enjoy later! read more

The new location is beautiful! You can definitely tell they put some time and love into it. Very spacious, many different tables to accommodate various party sizes as well as a stage (that I'm not sure if they use). There are a lot of new workers from the looks of it, so with it recently opening, training workers, and high volume customers (it was pretty packed that night), service took a little time when dining in for dinner. Once the food arrived, everything was spot on and delicious. Between the chicken pad thai, sampler appetizer, crab ragoon, chicken curry, pandan green tea, thai tea, spring rolls, ALL OF IT...just delicious! First, the inside of the restaurant is beautiful. It's worth going there once just to see the remarkable interior. Second, the host and the wait staff were pleasant and service was attentive. We ordered the northern style fried rice with one level below thai hot and the crispy garlic chicken medium heat with spring rolls as an appetizer and waters to drink. I like to dip my spring rolls into a soy/ponzu/chili paste mixture because I like heat not sweet. My wife enjoyed the sweet sauce and I tasted it as well and it was good but sweet. I asked for some soy sauce and chili paste. I know it's an American thing to do but whatever, it's what I like. The waiter comes back and says they don't have chili paste amd puts 3 karryout soy sauce packets down. I said, you don't have chili peppers? He said something then a few minutes later he comes back with chili paste. Okay, that's odd. The spring rolls were good and I had my concoction, finally. Next our entrées arrive and they looked appealing. The chicken was breaded and cooked properly with a little dusting of spices, an upside-down bowl of white rice and a little cup of dipping sauce that was spicier than the spring roll dip. The chicken had a decent flavor but was just deep fried chicken with some spices sprinkled over it and again, we had to ask for soy sauce packets. However, there was zero heat to anything but the dipping sauce and it was mild at best. Now to my entrée, the shrimp and minced chicken were cooked properly, not over cooked. But the rice had zero flavor or heat. I poured the rest of the chili paste over the rice and added my allocated 3 soy sauce packets over it. It was edible. When I got home for dinner and added some real chili powder, and a lot of chili paste it actually had some flavor. And yes real soy sauce not that packaged crap you get at panda express. We get the bill with our mediocre at best entrées, and 60 bucks and they charged us for the tiny cup of chili paste? WTF (Well That's Fantastic). Go and check out the inside then turn around and go somewhere worth eating because this place ain't it. Gouge me for trying to get the flavor you promised on the menu? It's an American expectation to have soy sauce available, but guess what? You have a restaurant in America. Don't waste your time, money, or caloric intake in mediocre food at twice the price and half the flavor of all other Thai places in Pensacola. One star for the interior and one star because the host was very personable. read more

I ordered at the bar(fried rice and panang curry) and luckily I ordered spring rolls for dine in or else I would've probably tried to sit with some randoms to join them since I was hungry (just kidding) The food was good and it was warm when I received it so either they forgot my order or gave it to someone else. Anyways, every place deserves another opportunity and I will be returning. I don't like giving negative reviews because we all have off days but sharing this particular experience. 5 stars for food, it's always been excellent and I've been getting takeout since the old location 20 years ago and I want this place to do well. 5 stars for interiors (such amazing decor and cool carved wood), excellent atmosphere although chairs are not organized in a way that makes it clear where walkways are. otherwise very gorgeous space. They even have some VERY cool pieces of furniture for sale and it was all stunning and priced WELL. 2 star bathrooms- please consider adding some music in there. 2 stars for service- frequent water refills were great, but we had dirty plates on our table for a long time (soup bowls from apps were still on the table when we got our entrees and still present after running our card for the check). Long time for soup appetizers to come out, and when they did our table of six got them at multiple different times. I was halfway done with mine before the last person got theirs. Same with entrees- huge window of time before when 1st entree got dropped at the table and when the last one came out. I'm talking maybe 10 minutes-15 minutes minimum possibly more, we didn't time it. We were there on a Saturday night and much of the staff seemed a little flustered. We sat maybe 2-2.5 hours total? Although our order was terribly, terribly mistimed, everything came out correctly and was so awesome. I will definitely be back for takeout and would love to try again on a weeknight with a smaller group. The menu is huge and a ton of options. Maybe if they scale back on some of the menu offerings, they can probably increase their kitchen efficiency. If this place can work out the kinks in their service and throughput (consider bringing in a consultant??), they could drastically shorten table turn times and be really great (and probably turn a much bigger profit too!). read more

This was our first time at this restaurant and we were happy with the experience. The ambiance was great, it was decorated as an Asian building. We loved the decorations. The service was very good. We had a couple of different people taking care of us. We didn't have to wait for my water to be refilled. The food portions were plentiful. I did not leave hungry. We ordered the appetizer sampler, the Pad Thai and the garlic chicken. All of the food came out hot and delicious. The appetizer sampler had an adequate amount of appetizers to choose from. We enjoyed them. It came with several different sauces to dip. My wife had the pad Thai, she liked it and enjoyed it, but would have preferred a little bit more peanut flavor and pieces or whole peanuts. She understands that each restaurant or chef has their own recipe. I had the garlic chicken, which was very tasty. I've had Thai garlic chicken before which had a garlic sauce. This had no sauce. Came on a Saturday night and almost left after being ignored for a bit at the entrance. The place is run down and pretty unpleasant; the ceilings are stained and the decor is cluttered and dusty. Service was abysmal. We started with the chicken satay and spring rolls which were both pretty good actually. Unfortunately our entrees were disappointing. The northern style soup was incredibly bland, and the Rama chicken was bland lacked spice, even with hot requested. The issue is they take a bunch of takeout orders at the detriment of the dine in customers. We came on a Thursday night and waited over 90 minutes for food, 40 minutes just for an appetizer. While waiting for our food we saw more takeout meals coming out than dine-in. Nearly every dine-in client received massive discounts, were pissed off and I'm sure wait staff was tipped poorly. Horrendous experience. We were sat down immediately and food didnt come out until an hour later. The whole dining time took 2.5 hours. It wasn't the waiters or waitresses fault and i felt every single one of them was overwhelmed and used to giving excuses for the wait time. For the food: the flavor was ok. The curry was watery and everything else is underwhelming. The pandan drink had maybe a hint of pandan but i would've never ordered had i known. The pad thai had decent flavor but was mushy and cold. This is our third time going to Siam's for dinner and the food has not disappointed yet. However I will say that the beef and broccoli was a little on the bland side. Not like the flavors at a Chinese restaurant. But we were not at a Chinese restaurant so that is that!! However again...the beef was cooked extremely well and very tender. Basically melted in your mouth. The curry was superb as usual with layers of flavor. I would like to see more heat because I love heavy spice but that's just me. The ambiance was nice as usual but I don't like the fact that we were at a table so close to the entrance. May be one table too many in the restaurant. Once again the staff was very nice and knowledgeable but it was still a little on the slow side. This is the main reason we are still at four stars overall. Best Thai food in Pensacola!! I'm serious! I used to come to Siam when I was younger living in Pensacola and haven't been back since. I recently came here with my mom today around 11:00 am and they start getting really packed around 11:30 on Sunday so something to keep in mind. The staff is so welcoming and friendly. The restaurant is decked out in traditional Thai decor with golds and rich gem colors. They even have a market in the back of the restaurant, today I tried the coconut cassava which is sooo good when it's fresh and warm. We snacked on this while waiting for our food to come out after ordering. We ordered the Papaya Salad, Drunken Noodles, and Pad Thai. Everything was phenomenal, but the presentations are what really stood out to me. The Papaya Salad was so beautifully presented, came in a wood mortar and on top of a platter with a full cup of rice and some veggies. It was fantastic tasting. Both of the noodle dishes were sensational. I love Pad Thai but some places don't get it right with the sweetness in the sauce, Siam's recipe is perfection. The tofu we both got was perfectly fried and I had zero complaints about anything ordered, everything was delicious. Will absolutely be back to Siam! read more

So I was in town on business, and used grubHub to order food from here. So I can't comment on the service or the ambulance, but I can on the food. I had the Pad Thai with beyond meat, and it was amazing, full of flavors. I also got the vegetarian spring roll and it was also amazing. I only wish I had went to the restaurant to get it hot and fresh. If you are in the area and looking for so amazing Thai food you have to check this place out.
