Had such a good Father's Day meal & good time that I forgot to check in!!! :-) 2025

Fantastic!!! I was already a big fan of their food, but since they have moved they have even upped their game!! After more than 20 years at its original location, Siam Thai, they're in a new and larger space at 7164 N. Ninth Ave. Owners Navapart Chanwatthanaphong and her son Ithipol "Thor" have totally transformed the place into a beautiful homage to Thailand, with hanging lanterns, hand-carved elephants, and a lovely outdoor patio, and more. Sweet!!! They still have some of my personal favorites like dishes like Pad Thai, Drunken Noodles, and lemongrass curry, with a number of new menu choices like pork salad, blanket shrimp with mango sauce, and more options for khao soi. More new stuff is pretty cool like a smoothie bar, soft-serve ice cream station, and an expanded and dedicated gift shop. Bottom line: The staff, service, and atmosphere are terrific but the food is hands down the best Thai cuisine you can get anywhere, short of hopping on a 9,000-mile flight to Bangkok. Highly recommended!!!!!

As pretty much everyone stated. The decor and ambiance are by far impressive. The staff was pleasant! I was there on a night when it wasn't packed. Apps and entrees were delightful; tasty, freshly prepared, worth the price vs the portion, but what struck me was how many items were not available-hence the 4 star rating. It happens, but there were at least three items that we asked for and had to go with an alternative, totally fine, but worth noting. I'll definitely be back, and it's worth a visit for anyone who hasn't been before!

    The inside was neat

We went the day after their grand reopening at their new location. Almost didn't find a parking spot for the lack of parking. We have to fight with the gym next door. Literally saw someone with a gym bag get a front parking spot and walk to the gym. Inside was super cool. Caught some of the staff talking about the owners traveling to get the items to decorate the inside. Wanted to order wine and they only had single serve barefoot wine...I'm sorry if I'm paying $20+ for a plate of food I would prefer something more...not a grocery store wine. We waited over a hour and we were told our meal would be another 45-50 minutes out....and that was the appetizer as well. If this place was so popular prior to the move how did it become so disorganized? Looking over the menu and with 30+ items maybe ring it in a little? Maybe we will check back in a month hopefully the survive this transition because it didn't look like anyone that night was getting any food.

They make delicious Pad Thai, with great service and everything else just right every time . .

Breathtaking is an understatement. The presentation of the dish itself was amazing. The establishment was very clean and fancy. The service was also incredible! 10000/10 will be returning!

We usually order to pick up but this time we wanted to eat at the new location and we were very impressed by it. It's decoration, ceilings, lamps, etc. it's amazing! Unfortunately our food took 1.20hrs and with little kids it's really hard to wait that long (or without kids) food was great as always and our waiter was very nice.

    Such a "wow" entrance!

The new location is beautiful! You can definitely tell they put some time and love into it. Very spacious, many different tables to accommodate various party sizes as well as a stage (that I'm not sure if they use). There are a lot of new workers from the looks of it, so with it recently opening, training workers, and high volume customers (it was pretty packed that night), service took a little time when dining in for dinner. Once the food arrived, everything was spot on and delicious. Between the chicken pad thai, sampler appetizer, crab ragoon, chicken curry, pandan green tea, thai tea, spring rolls, ALL OF IT...just delicious! Definitely will be back, but most likely during the week.

Food for a great. Wait times are crazy long. Even when you order to go 45 minutes ahead you wait 29 minutes after you arrive.

Ask the Community - Siam Thai Cuisine

Is the lunch buffet back yet?

I asked that question and the answer was, sadly they have no plans to ever bring it back.

The Spring 2023 Fundrays Coupon book lists them as offering buy 1 buffet get 1 free. Since the buffet has been closed for 3 years and is not going to come back, do they honor the coupon in some other way?

Have they brought the buffet back yet?

    No and not bringing back

DO they still have the lunch buffet during the Coviad?

    No, buffet was closed

Do they still have the lunch buffet currently?

Bao Town is a welcome change! We tried the pork belly baos this visit. They were so good we plan to return to try other options, too. It is an outside seating with roof for those rainy days. First if you are unfamiliar with bao, its this fluffy white bread that is steamed (not baked). These bao at this location is about the size of slider. We were offered Pork Belly bao, chicken and shrimp shu mai (also comes filled with pork), a piece of crepe cake, and a soda. I also order the 2 bao combo (Spicy Korean & Char Siu pork bao) comes with Orange Chicken and rice, and pot sticker soup. The pork belly bao was delicious. The Char Siu boa was equally amazing. These two go great together. So if order the 2 bao combo, get these two. Spicy Korean Chicken was like eating a Korean fried chicken sandwich. Served with Gochujang (Korean ketchup). This was also tasty. There is 2 or 3 bao combo on the menu, but the menu does not state what comes with the combo. When I ordered the 2 bao combo it came with orange chicken and rice and a pot sticker soup (close to wonton soup). It may or may not come with a can of soda. The service was friendly and I got my order within five minutes. Bao Town does explore the different flavors from Asia. The Pork Belly is Vietnamese inspire. Char Sui is Chinese flavor. Spicy Korean Chicken is Korean inspired, and Satay is glavor of Thailand. Check out Bao Town. You won't be disappointed.

Not surprising though considering the lackluster lazy service on top of the horrible garbage food. Just because you get vegan food doesn't mean you want to eat flavorless, overly salty or oily food that tastes like ash. If you prefer to use words like rancid, inedible, unsalvageable, carbonized or say tastes like ash, it's beyond redemption/saving, tastes or has a charcoal bitter aftertaste, rubbery and charred, extremely oily or extremely salty for "good food" and like lacksadaisical customer service then you should go here.
