Can you feel the excitement that Homestead has with their own new Panera Bread!!? I took my family to have dinner during their Grand Opening celebration. We approached the front of Panera with appreciation of design and the layout. There was ample outside seating with decorative dividers around the driveway area. The bright colors of orange and olive green somehow made us feel chic and giddy at the same time. The entrance had a small foyer with a sign the reads "Start With Bread" and so it does. The restaurant was super busy, but they had an incredible amount of staff. There were employees behind the counter of fresh baked sweets to answer questions about the menu and help you with the sweets. They even were giving samples of the peanut butter cookie with brown sugar. They had four registers open and had a manager behind the cashiers to help if any problems arose. Everyone was uber friendly, but not to the point that it was forced. They even had servers come and empty your table of dishes. The Food is good as far as this is a standard sandwich/coffee place. Each plate comes with a choice of chips (they have baked too), apple or baguette ( which I thought was a strange offer if you ordered a sandwich). Your choices include Premium, signature and cafe salads. They offer Premium Signature Panini, Signature Panini, Premium signature sandwiches ,Signature sandwiches and cafe sandwiches. There is a large selection of pastas, stews and cafe soups as well as fruit smoothies, frozen drinks coffee and an expresso bar. I got their Seasonal premium signature roasted turkey harvest salad : all natural, antibiotic-free roasted turkey, field greens, romaine, fresh d'anjou pears, dried cherries ( they were plump and large)gorgonzola, pecans and a cherry balsamic vinaigrette. I enjoyed it more than I thought I would,it had a great balance. I also ordered a cup of their vegetable pesto soup ( I believe this was my favorite- even more that the PB cookie). My son got the Pick two - half of frontega chicken panini: on focaccia with smoked pulled, antibiotic free chicken, mozzarella, tomatoes, onions, fresh basil and chipotle mayo with a small chicken Caesar salad. My daughters shared two paninis, the first was a chipotle chicken: on french with chicken, applewood-smoked bacon, smoked cheddar, tomatoes and their ancho chipotle spread. The other sandwich was The cuban chicken: on focaccia with chicken, smoked lean ham, sweet and spicy pickle chips, Swiss cheese, chipotle mayo and sun dried tomato ale mustard. Finally my wife had the Pick two also: chicken Caesar sandwich: on three cheese with all natural chicken, asiago, lettuce, tomatoes, onions and their caesar dressing and a small greek salad. I wont even go into the Breakfast menu- that will be another review. They do have seasonal items that you should look for - pumpkin latte, roasted turkey harvest salad, and pumpkin scones. My family enjoyed the food, atmosphere and since I have teenagers they also enjoyed the free WIFI. Don't for get to get the Panera Card- It is a free rewards card that gives you a "lotto" chance to win a free item every time you come in. It does not count the amount of purchase or points, its just random. I got the card earlier and registered it. When they slid it, It showed them my name and I won a free beverage of choice. 6/6/2016 Today we went thru the drive thru for the first time. On our way rushing the drop off the gang to school and work. It was a pleasant experience! First off there was a liner, but it moved! We ordered our favorite...Bacon Cheese Soufflé, pulled up to pay and got our food hot! Their Soufflé is one of the best items on the items... Btw... The cashier at the window steered us with a genuine smile and warmth as she spoke...Wow, what a difference that makes! Even when we ordered at the menu/speaker the language she used expressed a thank you/appreciate your patronage, we'll be glad to process your order type a deal. We've been here many times and eat in the Lobby, with good service. We also have the My Panera rewards account, get it! Expect to wait over 40 minutes for a tea if you go through the driver thru. Hands down worst Panera I've ever been to, they don't serve iced coffee either, half the menu was sold out as well. Just don't even go honestly. read more

This is one of the best Panera locations in south Florida. Parking lot is adequate for the size of restaurant and they also offer drive thru service. The location is clean and the staff is nice:two things you normally don't see at chain places in this area. Free wifi is also available. On this visit I had the turkey BLT and cup of broccoli cheddar soup. Both were made to my order specs and came out quickly. Everything is good at Panera so no matter what you choose you will leave happy. read more

I love the new Modern Caprese and their Mac and Cheese. The pesto sauce in the Modern Caprese gives it a nice kick. Will definitely be returning. However, I gave this restaurant 4 stars because they are extremely slow in the drive through. Also, the last time that I visited, the person that took my order had horrible customer service. I have driven by this place since it opened and never visited. I should have continued to do that. Decided to give it a try. Walked in, no-one else there and stood at the register for about ten minutes. Three employees busy talking with each other, didn't even look up once to acknowledge a customer's presence. Their menu is extremely confusing and wanders all over. Very disorganized. Pictures of food all over but no details or prices. (BTW, the food looks very good in the Pictures) Finally, I asked about what appeared to be a 2 for special and the order person didn't know anything about it. So I ordered. A pick 2 off the pictures. $14 bucks. Are you kidding me. Where's the pick 2 special. When Someone finally answered, I find out the pick 2 is half orders of two items. What. 14 bucks and it's half orders. Whatever. Too late. already paid. Waited another 15 minutes for this "half order Cesar salad and sandwich. When it finally was ready, It was totally NOT worth the wait. (or the money) The Cesar was chopped up lettuce (not romaine) and a couple of processed strips of chicken. then they stick the packet of dressing inside the container on top of the food. Thanks for contaminating my salad. (sorry, chopped lettuce). The sandwich looked like a baby's sandwich and was all opened in the container and spread loose everywhere. The whole meal was terrible. And way way overpriced. Lesson learned. Keep on driving past and never go back. Fake looking health fast food place. Not fast, and it's not healthy if it is too unappetizing to eat. I've never had a problem in this location until tonight. I placed an online order and when I went to pick it up at 10:35, I walk in and a young male employee had mopped the whole lobby where guests are supposed to walk through. He stared at me perplexed and continued to finish up a small corner he had yet to mop. Not a problem I manage a restaurant, I understand preclosing however I do not allow my employees to preclose anything that will affect operation or guests. I walked towards the rack where my food should have been, it was empty. I asked the gentleman mopping about my food giving him my name. He ignored me, so a very nice young woman asked if I was picking up an online order in which I replied yes. She said it was at the pick up counter, as I walk to it the gentlemen mopping lifted his hand in a stop motion and said "stay over there", on the carpet, and handed me my food. He did apologize and I went on my way. One rude employee won't stop me from coming here but maybe do not preclose the lobby when you're still open for business. One time , I waited 20mins in the drive thru , they told me it wasn't ready to pull up to the front and they would bring it to me ... 20mins after parking and waiting ...(40mins total) I had to go inside and my smoothie still wasn't ready. The manager noticed I was upset , didn't apologize or ask anything ... then i got this lovely smoothie I always order and for some reason it had a spinach leaf in it ..... spinach was not an ingredient in the smoothie. This location used to be great. It has gone downhill significantly in many ways. The food is not as well prepared as it used to be. In addition, twice I have gone & have seen flies flying around the cinnamon rolls that are still sitting in their baking pans. And the worst time was my most recent visit. Went there with my daughter & a young girl was mopping the floor. It was left soaking wet. I already knew this was going to be an issue. A bit later, after eating, she was mopping again. Again, left the floor extremely drenched with water. I saw this & told my daughter to please walk carefully. I couldn't even finish getting the words out before she fell hard, straight on her back. Her drink flew everywhere. No one even paid attention. One girl was on the phone taking a call and the rest were in the kitchen. I had the one girl call the manager up to let her know what took place and how DANGEROUS this was. She saw all of the water that remained after the employee mopped & was mortified. She tried to instruct the girl how to properly mop the floor but at that point it was already too late. My daughter had already fell very hard. And it was her birthday. I am truly a fan of Panera but not this location. I don't blame them for constantly being out of certain items, I can't remember the last time I was able to order a strawberry banana smoothie because they never have bananas, but I can blame them for consistently forgetting items I ordered and paid for, terrible customer service, and just an overall low quality of items. I can give you a ton of examples but simply put, always check that all items are in your bag, check how hard the baguette is, and do not believe them when they tell you to park in the front as you'll probably wait forever as they tend to forget to bring your food out. When I lived in Gainesville I frequented the Archer rd. Location and this homestead location should call them up and ask them for some training. read more

Visited the Homestead location last night, Sept. 9, 2023, at approximately 6 PM. After waiting in line to order, we got up to the register and the young woman there could not be less welcoming. I initiated the pleasantries by saying hi how are you tonight? I then began my order with the teriyaki chicken and broccoli. She said just a minute let me see if we have any more. She came back a moment later and said that they were out. I then told my son to order what he wanted while I looked at the menu again. He ordered a sandwich and she asked if he was okay with having it without tomato. When we asked why, she said because they were out of tomatoes. I then said "looks like it's going to be one of those nights". Apparently that was too much for her, so she turned around and left. A moment later a young man appeared from the back and said, can I help you? He didn't know why he was there only that the young lady asked him to help us. I explained what had happened. He apologized and told me that he would check to see if they had broccoli and if so, he would be happy to make the teriyaki chicken and broccoli for me. he then explained that they did not have any sliced tomatoes only grape tomatoes. So we accepted the sandwich without those sliced tomatoes and he made the chicken and broccoli for us. Then, when we were done ordering, he told me he would have to serve it to me in a to go bag because they didn't have any plates. I didn't know what to say at that point but okay. So the young man took care of us, and we took our to-go bag over to a table, unpacked everything and ate off to go plates. I also noticed that the dining room was also a mess as I frequently find at this location. This place simply is not ready for business. If you don't have food ready, if you don't have ingredients in the store and you don't have clean plates or clean tables, I don't see how you can be ready to properly serve your customers. I do want to thank the young man who came over and did everything he could to rectify the situation. In the end, all this goes back to management that simply is not getting it done. read more

I've been going to Panera for years and I've never been to a bad location until I visited this one. Instead of telling you they are out of ingredients they would rather make your food with out them and not tell you. On top of that don't even bother getting Mac and cheese because they will serve you half the portion size then any other one I've ever been to plus it was cold. I went yesterday for lunch while I wait for my car at Toyota Homestead. The location was very clean, the cashier was fast and we have lunch like in 30min, love the variety of healthy tea that they have I ordered the special of 2 choices for about $10 and I choose sandwich and tomato soup with a side of bread that I wish I could take tons of it to my house they also have plenty space for parking, so is very convenient if you have a short period of time to have a healthy lunch read more

Love coming here for a number of reasons: 1) it's fairly close to where I live. I am happy that now I have a Panera bread nearby as where I used to live there was none. 2) love their bagels. They are delicious and are a great treat...whenever I do remember to have breakfast anyway 3) the soups....my family love their soups. I prefer their black bean soup. It's not bad considering it's not home made. My family though is obsessed with their baked potato soup. It may not be the best we ever had...but it's hot, delicious. The service here is also good. I've honestly never had a problem with this Panera Bread location. My best experience at a Panera Bread has actually been this one to date. The staff moves really quickly and they're well organized. That's saying a lot considering I go during lunch hour. According to the other reviews the drive-thru seemed to be their achilles. As someone who goes there more than once a week I've found the drive thru to be efficient most of the time. When I received my order there were two itty bitty chunks of turkey floating in the middle of my bread. What gives???!!! I promptly took it back and it was replaced for a new one that was built like a meal :) My latest experience was lame. I went through the drive thru for breakfast. After waiting 10 minutes while watching rhe drive thru attendant clean up, fill inside restaurant orders...Yes 10! The cashier finally slices my bagel toasted it and put it in a bag. I usually eat on the go so imagine my frustration that it took 10 minutes for this girl to locate my bagel, slice, toast it and IT HAD NO CREAM CHEESE on it! This location is an extreme disappointment! Being one of the few restaurants in the area to serve healthy meals on the go, I was very happy about this addition to the neighborhood when they opened a few years ago. I have been a regular customer since, but today have decided to withdraw my business from this location. Almost every time I go, there is an issue with my order. Either it is wrong, the bread is burnt, they are out of a menu item, or they just FORGET to make it altogether!! The meals are also very poorly prepared, like they were just thrown together... Even when the place is empty.On multiple occassions I've tried to speak with a manager and just let it go. I'm not one to get nitpicky over little mistakes but when it happens every time I go, I'm just kind of fed up. Not all Panera locations are created equal. While in town to fish Everglades National Park we put this one to the test arriving two days in a row at 6 am and ordering a full breakfast and lunch for three people. Being the minute they opened we hoped to get out of there quickly to meet our fishing guide and figured the food here would be much better than Subway or packaged sandwiches from Starbucks or a gas station. We made the correct decision. While it took 15-20 minutes to receive our order, it came out exactly how we placed it, both our breakfast sandwiches and lunches. In fact, the staff took into account we weren't eating the lunch for several hours and put the condiments and veggies in separate packaging. And, they loaded them with meat. They were stuffed with so much meat we struggled to get our mouth around them, a good problem to have. The bagels, pastries and breakfast sandwiches we ate passed the test, too. And, over the course of two mornings and lunches, we had the opportunity to try many of them. For an inexperience breakfast or lunch, whether heading to national park, beach, fishing or on a lunch break, this Panera is a clean, friendly location that brings average food at a fair price. read more

I eat here at least twice a week as it is the healthiest fast food in homestead. The drive thru is terrible at this location. They are slow and food is inconsistent. The chicken portion size is pretty small. I ordered tuna sandwich once and it went straight to the garbage and when i told the manager the following week he said I never see you here. Really??? Drive thru!!!!! He did nothing, no apology nothing!!! He didn't even ask what was so bad about it? It had no taste and the lettuce was burned on the press. Tried using the drive thru but couldn't see the menu because there were no lights. Was able to partially order by memory but had to drive to the window to get a menu to complete the order. Manager was aware of the problem and advised it was being worked on. Because we ordered at the window, we had to pull into a parking space to wait. And wait, for almost 20 minutes, and still no food. So I went inside and spoke to the saw manager who tried to put the blame on me from ordering at the window. Really Ms. Manager, didn't we discuss the problem of no lighting 20 minutes earlier???? Then see that they messed up order have me cucumbers which I'm allergic to (and asked in advance for none) to then proceed to not give me any chicken in my order which name is power chicken hummus. Having a drive thru at this location is super convenient but you should definitely check your food before you drive off. I ordered the seasonal turkey cranberry flatbread and somehow they forgot to heat it up. When I opened the box, the turkey was on one side and the flatbread on the other. Oh, and there was absolutely NO cranberry on there. Also, they added way, way too many seeds on the autumn squash soup. I just couldn't take it. At least they got the green tea right. I am a big fan of this franchise restaurant and was excited to know that one was being added to the community of Homestead. After many successful visits, I had an unfortunate experience at this location. I ordered the barbecue chicken salad (a favorite of mine) and was excited to have my lunch. Upon opening the to-go box that it came in, I immediately saw a dead fly sitting in my salad. I became so grossed out that I could not eat. I immediately returned and sought for the manager. I explained to him what happened and showed him the dead fly in my food. He handled the situation very professionally, and thoroughly apologized to me. He refunded me my money for my entire meal and insisted I ordered something else at no charge. Because I was too grossed out, I refused the offer but he insisted at making me at least a smoothie. I accepted. It is a shame that I had this experience, being that I was a regular at this location. I appreciate the professionalism shown to me by the manager, however find my encounter with a dead fly in my food as unacceptable. read more

Came here for a quick lunch, I had the you pick 2 with the Greek goddess salad and the seasonal squash soup. I was a little disappointed with the amount of soup they gave me. I feel like they jipped me off, when I went back to ask them to fill my bowl they told me they couldn't since it was part of the you pick 2. The soup wasn't even filled to the line the bowl had. I've never had this complaint at any other Panera. This panera is a bit outdated as they didn't have the kiosks to order yourself or the "order from my table" service.
