This location absolutely blows. Wait times in or out of this location are longer than most DMV's. 27min in the drive-thru. The amount of money this location is losing has to be substantial. Now imagine if they improved wait times by being much more efficient from the time an order is placed to the time the customer gets his order. There's a new concept for you Panera. The Food was hot and fresh, the service Tatyana provided was very professional. Tatyana was very patient, kind and recommended the best sandwich the toasted Italiano was delicious. I wanted to speak to the manager regarding how well I was treated and Chris let me know that Tatyana was the manager. And I see why the staff seemed so happy. I have had it with this location! They allow smoking on the outside patio and it stinks! I was given a pick two with barely any salad and most of it was brown. When I order ahead and I'm notified my order is ready it's not and actually hasn't even been prepared and this happens all the time! They literally make me late for work! I give this location 2 stars for two reasons 1: Any table to occupied was dirty. We had a wet napkins to wipe off table. 2: Are they crazy prices r way out of line for the amount of food. I visited the Homewood, IL Panera Bread today. This was the first time that I had dined in since before COVID (I had had carry-out service a couple of times before this visit). Good to be back; the spaciousness of the restaurant is a guarantee that social distancing can be maintained. Maybe I will have a turkey sandwich for Thanksgiving! read more

Most impressive with the changes in staff! Quicker times in the drive lane, better quality food with satisfying portions. Homewood should spread love and not hate on fellow people. Unless you have worked in retail/food you should be not on here spreading your narrative of how bad any people are. Omg. This is the worse Panera bread. The staff is rude and look like they hate their jobs, not friendly it all. The food and drinks are below average. Coffee is nothing but brown water and the smoothies which they charge over $5 is nothing but ice no flavor. 3 times I use the drive thru, and 3 times my orders were either wrong or it took 25 mins, and this is before the pandemic. Now I understand things take longer because of covid but there is no excuse for all that, I have gone to different Panera's and this one is HORRIBLE. Inconsistent food and portion size. It has become very expensive for a small portion of food. I attached a photo of a "half Greek salad." I liked the old location better in Homewood on Governor's Highway. Most of the workers here just seem a bit angry who hand you your food. read more

Old Homewood location was better. Week day around 1:00 O'clock...First time had to wait an excessive amount of time due to cash register #1 wasn't set up with enough change. Took too long for manager to come out and set up register #2 so customer could receive change from cash register #2. Second time - Saturday (Today) around 5pm. There were 2 long strands of hair mixed in my salad! Coffee pot had cold coffee! Prices are a little high for the small amount of food you purchase. read more

This particular Panera clearly establishes why people should not justify paying 30% extra for their food compared to other healthy alternatives within the neighborhood. Tables are dirty, online orders cannot be picked up in the drive-thru, inconsistent food preparation and variable amounts, online orders result in food being ready but you still need to get your own drinks, sides are not honored - the list goes on and on. Just today, two items were ordered online, one with an apple and the other with a baguette. After picking up (we no longer order drinks from them due to the inconvenience) and arrived home, both sides were missing. Instead, they gave soft sliced bread used to make sandwiches! They said nothing during pick-up, did not offer an alternative (like a cookie) nor did an automatic partial credit appear on my bill. Used the "Your feedback is important to us. Let us know how we can help by contacting us here" link and found it failed to contain a method to contact them. It is nothing more than a FAQ listing. Called the store and selected the option to speak to a Manager - the phone rang for several minutes until we got tired and simply hung up. Given this long list of negative experiences, you will need to lower your price not by 30%, but at least 60% before we return. There simply is no premium, in terms product completeness and service, to justify your pricing. Based on my experience, the haphazard management at this location does not live up Panera's Corporate standard and is hurting the reputation of an otherwise outstanding franchise. read more

Got breakfast from this location this morning. My chicken, egg, and avocado wrap was half empty. Each individual food was in a separate location within the wrap. The avocado was at the very bottom of the wrap! Had to reorganize everything. My wife got a bacon egg and cheese ciabatta and received a brioche bun. Wouldn't be a big deal if it was cheap food but it's not. It's not that hard to make this food and to know the difference between brioche and ciabatta bun! Will not be returning. read more

The Panera bread in Homewood on 175th St. has really gone down the tubes. We always have to wait when we use the drive-through. Today we pulled in and it took 45 minutes for us to just get to the window. We sat there and the cars were just not moving. When we finally got to the window we were instructed to pull into the wait for your order lane. After another 15 minute wait for two sandwiches a salad and two drinks, the manager brought the food out. no you would think you would get a sorry for the wait at least. She said nothing handed the bag with a scowl on her face and walked away. It's sad the Homewood Panera is used to be good unfortunately not anymore. And of course they wanna blame it on staffing shortages well if that's the case post that there might be a longer wait than usual for your food. Once you pull into their drive-through you cannot pull out, your stuck. and if that wasn't bad enough when we got home they forgot to give us a salad.
