The service was not only really professional but speedy as well. The bagels here we delicious, being toasted perfectly. Love that they have a walk up kiosk to place your own order and customize it to your liking. If you don't like healthy food or delicious baked goods then this is not the place for you. I ordered using their app and had food in three minutes while sitting at a table. You tell them your table number on your order and they deliver it and you pay with apple pay if you have it set up. The French onion soup was very good as was the bread delivered with it the pastry was discounted when ordering through the app. If I eat at pandora I will order electronically. read more

This is brand new and was right next to our hotel. The staff was friendly but were not trained well. The dining room was dirty and the tables had not been cleaned. The food was good, but they were out of my favorite coffee when we got there, which I pointed out to them and they made a fresh pot. I've been here twice both my experiences were great. The first time was just for pastries. They greeted me upon walking in and I didn't have to wait long in the line.. The second time me and my husband dined in and it was great also . It was too cold inside for me although there was plenty of room to dine in so after we ordered electronically on the machine they had we took our drinks and the buzzer for when your food is ready and sat outside . Within 10 min they brought our food to us. Was a bit expensive for a sub sandwich, a salad and 2 pastries but it tasted great , fresh and flavorful. My husband and I go here about once a week and usually have no complaints. However today we had a much different experience. First they were out of hot coffee (no biggie) so we ordered lattes instead. We finished our food and sat for 10 more minutes before we had to remind the staff for a second time that we were still waiting on our drinks. The bread and rolls came out cold and this location was out of many ingredients. Many of the unused tables and a high chair we picked up were not even wiped down and had food everywhere. Really shitty service from someone named Kevin here. Panera has some form of a Cuban sandwich but instead of trying to assist me make my order Kevin was way more interested in being catty & generally unhelpful throughout the entire experience. He made no attempts at any recommendations and had no idea what came on any sandwich (mind you I was in the drive thru so it was super hard to read all that small print on the screen). I was really relying on the customer service from Panera and this particular location just failed to deliver on all accounts. I actually left & went to the McAllister's just down the street. What a great experience! Today I mistakenly tossed my receipt in the trash. The issue with this is that I need the receipt for my companies reimbursement program. I live over an hour away in Austin. I contacted the store after hours and the manager on Duty Jennifer was so kind and patient. She took down all of my information and promised to follow-up with me. She called back 20 mins later and could not find the receipt. She gathered some more information and committed to calling me once she found it. She was able to find the receipt and she never asked why I needed the receipt. Jennifer exemplifies word class customer service and she is definitely an asset to this location and the company. I placed an order online including half a sandwich, half salad, and other items. After waiting for up my order at Rapid Pick Up (ha! I always have to wait) and driving 5 miles back home, I learned that only part of my order was in the bag. Not only was this frustrating, but I had to drive 5 miles back to Panera Bread to get the rest of the order. The manager was unsympathetic. No apology was given from the manager for the error. The location is poor (traffic in that area is awful). Also, it's dangerous to have to walk across the drive thru lane to get into the restaurant. The service is slow and inconsistent. Add in poor customer service and subpar management and you've got a recipe for disaster. And two less customers. We won't be visiting this location again. read more

Went to the bathroom first and it was trashed at 807 am. A tell tell sign that the management and restaurant are not up to par. I went to go order and I noticed there was tons of dirt on the floor and counter by the stations where they prepare your food and at the bakery area near the bagels and the bread at 8:15 in the morning. That is pretty sad when I ordered I noticed that they did not have gloves on or wash their hands I think that this that is supposed to be mandatory. when I ordered my bagel the lady asked me if I wanted it toasted or sliced and I said no because it should be pretty warm she's like oh yeah they just came out of the oven but I got it out of the bag when I was walking to my car it was ice cold and I t looked like it was yesterday's bagels because the sugar was already melting. Panera is good! The place JUST open, so they ARE packed and very busy BC they are so good! They do mess up orders a lot, but that's anywhere. You tell them to fix it, and they'll fix it and give you free stuff sometimes as their way of saying sorry. Worst panera I've ever seen. Watched my food on the counter for 15 minutes before I got up to get it myself, waiting a total of 31 minutes after ordering on a slow Saturday morning. I even saw the manager herself push my food further back on the counter and let it get colder without questioning why it was still sitting there. Asked myself for a new bagel that wasn't cold at the food counter and I got nothing but grunts and asked if they could just reheat it instead. Then two different employees asked two other different employees to get one for me as well. Low and behold three more bagels showed up. The food is good on some days. This is not like any Panera I've eaten at before- the atmosphere here is "life- sucking, morbid". They don't have the table numbers at the kiosk so you have to hunt them down, the tables are usually dirty, and the whole tables food will not come in all at once, we waited 10 minutes for a kids grilled cheese and Mac n cheese. Common Panera...... Thought I would treat my co-workers, so I order the baker's dozen bagels. I was one of the first customers in line. I ask specifically for 6 cinnamon bagels, 2 blueberry, then another random 5. Since the words on the drive through menu are so tiny, it's IMPOSSIBLE to read the flavors, I just trusted their judgment to give me a variety . I get there, they say they didn't have blueberry. Ummm okay? What's up with that? Anyway, I just said okay, please pick out a random variety. When I get to work, I look in the box, there is my 6 cinnamon, and 7 chocolate chip bagels. I mean REALLY? Is that what the words "random variety" mean to you? They were still eaten up, but I have gotten this deal many times over the years (from different locations) and they always know how to mix up the variety. My second issue is that I asked for them to be sliced. When I check, a few of them had gone through a "portion" of the slicer. Meaning they had sides missing, but they were still unsliced. Terrible disappointment. I have never been to a Panera Bread before, but from others comments, this just must be a bad one. Me and my daughter waited 55 minutes for 2 pesto sacchettinis. When they finally brought that out, (it was good, by the way-the cook staff might not be the problem), I reminded the girl that I also had ordered a cinnamon roll. She said she would be right back with it. I got it 30 minutes later. It was also very good. The problem here is the wait, and the cleanliness of the dining room. Usually Panera Bread in other locations is awesome... the food, the service... nice The expectations for service in most places in Killeen need to be lower than other places... even as close as Belton. So everytime I go to to Panera Bread in Killeen I stopped being disappointed when there's no bread bowls or no broccoli soup. Today, we get home & one of our soups is missing. This is just one time too many for me. After calling the number on the receipt, I pressed the option to speak to a manager. The lady that answered was in a hurry, she quickly apologized and offered a free soup & pastry on our next visit... just not today cause they're closing. Oh. I gave her my husband's name since he goes there more often than I do. Usually people ask for the spelling of our last name or read it back, if in fact the name was written down. Instead she said "ok, thank you. Got it. Bye." I asked if there was any other info like the receipt number she needed but no... she said "bye" again. Rude.
