I placed a pick up order, and checked in as soon as I parked. No one came outside to bring it to me. I went inside after waiting a few minutes and noticed the to go section was empty, so I'm pretty sure that someone stole my food. The manager said he was looking into what happened and gave me a drink while I was waiting. He brought me my order a few minutes later and offered a cookie for my inconvenience. This was not their fault but they ended up bending over backwards to make it right. I will definitely be back! The food was fresh and delicious like always. I was avoiding Panera Bread for a while because the location in San Antonio didn't give me my smoothie on a pickup order, and they were extremely rude after I had to drive back to the restaurant to get the rest of my order. They never apologized or tried to offer anything even though it says that they will on their receipt if they mess up your order. I will stick with the Lakewood location. Their courteous and friendly team is worth the visit. read more

Don't do the drive thru unless you want to wait 15 minutes. 1st time I sat in the drive thru for over 5 minutes with no one attempting to answer and so I parked and went inside and still had to stand at the counter for another 5 minutes until the people in the back were done dicking around to check the counter. The 2nd time it took no joke 15 + minutes in the drive thru and not once did an employee apolozige or explains the delay. Deciding that I didn't want to be a pain and return it, I took the drink and set it down in my cup holder. By the time I arrived home I realized the drink was only half full. Meanwhile, people are pulling up to the drive through and getting their food and leaving while I'm still waiting after they told me my order was ready. I stopped by here because I was looking for something quick and easy and I happened to see that they have a drive thru! Finally a great place to eat, with a drive thru! I ordered a turkey with white cheddar panini on the 3 cheese bread. It was really, really good! The turkey tasted great, the sandwich wasn't dry at all, which can happen when you don't have any condiments on it (that's how I like it) but it was wonderful and had plenty of moisture. I also got 2 kids meals with the mac and cheese, the serving size was really small for the $5 price point, they finished it and they were still hungry which is odd because my kids aren't great eaters. I should have just ordered the larger portion for them and paid the difference. The kids' meals came with chips, which were tasty. I was able to buy a muffin for .99 because I bought a meal so I got the apple crumb muffin and it was very good. Everything was good, fresh and hot here. Portion size was a bit small on the kids meals if your kids are over 5 I think but everything else was how I would want it. The guy at the drive thru was also very nice, even while I was asking a million questions at the speaker. read more

Consistent chain food. That's about the best way to describe Panera in general, and this location in particular. Heading back to Omaha from the mountains, we stopped in to grab a quick bite while we were on the road. I came in for lunch a couple of weeks ago and I have to say I was impressed with how quickly everything came out considering how busy they were. The guy that helped me was pleasant and as engaging as he could be during the lunch rush. I ordered the tomato & mozzarella panini and I was pretty happy with it. The sun-dried tomato pesto had a really good flavor to it and I thought it was a nice change from a regular pesto (which I do love btw). The panini was huge, I couldn't finish it all for lunch so I saved the rest for dinner and it was just as good that night. I could tell that all of the ingredients were fresh and hadn't been sitting around for a couple of days. I will take Panera for a lunch/dinner option over McDonalds, BK or any of the other fast food joints around any day. I waited in the drive thru one day last week for 12 minutes, and I was only the third car in line. The convenience of the drive thru is lost in the ridiculously long wait. I am just not a fan of Panera Bread. I ordered a Greek salad, which comes with shrimp. It was definitely not worth the $10 price tag. They don't have ranch, so I asked for the Greek and Cesar dressing on the side, and ended up only getting the Cesar. It was not a good pairing. I also got the turkey sandwich kids meal. When we got home, I had to add mayo and mustard to it, as it came with bread, cheese, and turkey. They were also out of chai. Overall, the order was way too expensive for what we received, so I doubt I will be back. read more

I'm a disabled man who also struggles with visual impairments, so when I eat at Panera I order ahead in the app. But, almost every time I do, something happens where my order is never fully completed due to unavailable items that I order, or it's made incorrectly, or I don't receive good customer service from the employees. Fortunately, the general manager is understanding of this and has tried to make it better for me, even offering me free food when things don't go as planned. I like the food from here (when it's made right) and this is the best location closest to where I live, so if I'm in the mood for it, I won't be too hesitant to try again and see what happens, and sometimes it's a good day when it's not busy and I get the help I need and go in and come out I'm just about two minutes. I do also order delivery on occasion since I work and go to school at Red Rocks 5-10 minutes away, but after an incident with an early delivery they told me what to do to fix it and gave me a free meal to apologize for the inconvenience. So, I'm always willing to give it the benefit o the doubt (if they continue to change for the better), but only time will tell if this holds true or not. read more
