    Pork green chili soup

Such great soups ( especially the pork green chili) and sandwiches! I usually do take out orders but the restaurant is super clean and welcoming. When it starts getting cold out this is the first place i think of going. Comfort for the soul

Crackers would've been great with my soup . And maybe some more meat and veggies but overall good taste .

    Expensive noodle soup. No chicken.

Ordered from Uber Eats. Chicken Noodle soup, erm, noodle soup. The only chicken was the gross skin floating on the top when I pulled off the lid. I specifically requested a spoon (I'm in a hotel) but it was not included. The grilled cheese was not melted. Very disappointing.

Beef vegetable soup is as good as my homemade soup! I'm so glad I found this place. I love soup and it appears that this is truly homemade

I tried to order soup - but there's none listed. I thought that this is a soup place (it's in the name!)

Do not get the broccoli and cheese, it's salty and sour..leaves a long lasting aftertaste.

This was my first Culinary Dropout experience which was on a date night and dinner outing. There was ~45 minute wait for a table as it was "dinner rush hour" before the weekend. We were seated in the bar area at a high top so we were very close to live music performer! So that was an enjoyable portion of the experience! The interior was dimly lit, loud and lively, and offered a rustic but modern feel. Based on this experience, food was overpriced and mediocre. We tried the fish and chips ($23) and fried chicken ($26). We were disappointed the fish and chips were not served with fresh lemon to "baptize" the fried fish. Fries were limp and didn't seem fresh. Also thought the fried fish should have had a crispier crust. The fried chicken was good flavor and texture on fried crust but the white meat was very dry. Mashed potatoes and gravy were lukewarm and not served hot. Also I tried to season the mashed potatoes but the pepper grinder at the table was completely empty. Biscuit was dry, overcooked, and lacked butter. Probably will opt for other options next date night.

Even though every table was full by 12:15, the staff was hustling. Our server checked on us multiple times and our Hoffens Burgers were excellent. There was plenty of goat cheese, avocado and roasted red pepper. Definitely crave worthy! I loved the curry crema dipping sauce and ate it with my fries and burger. It was very loud for about an hour and then the place began to empty out and the noise level was more tolerable. I noticed they had some specialty cocktails that were new so I'll be heading back soon to try those. Quick additional tip: We tried to go to dinner at 5pm tonight (granted it's a Saturday) and even though the restaurant looked almost empty we were told it would be an hour wait for our party of 6. I feel like we could have eaten and been out in that time but we weren't given a chance. The hostess didn't seem very sorry to see us leave so I'm rethinking coming back any time soon. First time not being welcomed there. So my tip is - even when you think a restaurant is casual - MAKE A RESERVATION. (I really didn't want to eat there twice in one week anyway ;)

Which is a little misleading, cause the meatball section of the place has more menu options since they merged together. That's not a bad thing, cause their fancy sodas and sausage sandwich are pretty good, reasonably priced for the place, too. The only real hiccup here was constantly waiting for service. It was like the workers are not well adjusted to the dark and we end up hiding in plain sight.

I was also very happy to see how busy they were the last several times as well. It is also a great place to quietly work during breakfast while other places can be so loud!

Don't get me wrong, the ingredients were fresh enough, service was friendly, and the place was clean & neat. BUT the Dolomite (their "Italian" hero), which is the simple, yet complex sandwich that ALL sandwich shops should be judged on, was just fine, and I ended up only eating half of it. Specifically, the inappropriately sesame-seeded bread was too airy & fluffy. The cold cuts were sliced too thickly, and densely piled together into a brick-like slab of meats. It all added up to a sandwich, although carefully made, didn't really satisfy my soul the way a good sandwich should. Unfortunately, I've had the same experience at their shop in Fort Collins, so maybe this style of very pretty, but vapid sandwiches are just not my jam.
