The staff was running and our server, Jade, took care of us nicely. My daughter had the Chimichurri Steak and Eggs and it was supposed to have spinach in it but there was only one or two tiny pieces. My Bacado Omelet had brown and spotted avocado that had seen better days at least a week ago. Jade did bring me some fresh avocado but it was concerning that the kitchen sent it out like that. The manager did take it off our check which was kind of her. I like how First Watch changes up the menu seasonally so there's always something new to try.

The guy told the guy in the window to tell us that they weren't serving until 5. See, if both people were busy and looked to be setting up, we would understand. But the fact that one guy was literally doing nothing and we were 6 minutes from when they said they'd open, it didn't leave a great impression. So we ended up leaving and taking our business elsewhere. Their menu was pretty boring today anyways - the last time we had it they had at least 4 options including 2 for non meat eaters. Today they had plain, buffalo chix, and another one with chorizo. Next time I'll support another local food truck instead and drive right on.

I've had it before and enjoyed it, but the last couple times the food has been cold despite being ready within 7 minutes. Today, I was at Chop Shop the minute my order was ready, as I got a notification on my phone. I got the chicken with polenta and my husband had the chicken tenders. We got freezer burnt chicken that was wet and soggy, breading falling off, and impossible to chew like cardboard. Not to mention the polenta and Mac and cheese were cold. I understand not every experience can be perfect, however to pay a tip, restaurant service fee (that apparently doesn't go to staff because it's a separate charge), and have to pay for utensils at a quick serve restaurant just to receive small portions, cold food, and past quality ingredients is not acceptable. There was something off with the turkey meat. It just kinda grossed me out. Maybe next time I'll try a beef hamburger instead.
