Service has ALWAYS been awful but my fav Mediterranean sandwich was worth it! ‍. Last visit was today. Not even a slice of onion. TWO cucumber slices, the peppers that made the sandwich hardly identifiable. Won't make it in this market. Too many places STACK ingredients on a $10 sandwich. (Subway, Terri Lynn's, Community Bakery, Jason's Deli). Ohhh, and the bread has shrunk by 40% & I'm being overly generous with that estimate. The outer edges were FREEZER burned, dried out & tough. There was NO discernable flavor that gave my favorite sandwich the edge!!!! Bye Bye Panera!

Their chicken was actually the consistency of rubber. Asked for extra sauce and they must've read it as light sauce. Didn't get my drink. Nothing to wash down my dry, rubber "chicken" sandwich. Put cheese on my wife's sandwich and she can't eat cheese. Never again.

I haven't been here since my last review 7 months ago due to consistent subpar experiences. Today, I swung by out of convenience as I was pressed for time. Placed a mobile order to make it quick and it was ready in 2 mins - indeed quick! Then I drove away with my order only to realize why it was so quick. It's because my sandwich was thrown together so fast and carelessly that they didn't even remove the parchment paper! One job... one job. Needless to say I've been reminded why I don't stop here. I gave two stars instead of one because the sandwich was really good aside from the parchment paper I could've choked on.

The service quick and the food came out as ordered. I was surprised but the lunch was very good. Expensive for lunch for two but good. The chicken Mediterranean bowl has rice in the bottom that was only partially cooked. Seems at a bread place you would have warm fresh bread not hard day old. The poppy seed chicken salad was very good. The first impression was the area outside. I have a picture. My turkey club had 2 very thin slices of turkey and two very thin slices of bacon. Then it had two giant slices of bread with end pieces of a tomato. I ate the turkey and bacon and threw the rest away. Not a good buy for our lunch that was $30 bucks. I see why you have low reviews.

I walked in and was ignored on Tuesday 9/17/2019 around 7 pm. Terrible service. So I walked out without ordering. I will not be back.

Very poor value! $6.50 for a toasted BLT. Came I toasted with one piece of bacon. Total sandwich was two bites!!

Never again! I found a 10 inch long curly hair in my egg soufflé this morning and the service is absolutely horrible!

I've loved seeing their success and growth over the years and was excited to try their Breckenridge location on a recent visit to the city. I thoroughly enjoyed it from beginning to end. The atmosphere has a familiar but different feel from the other location that I thought works really well. The food is absolutely delicious and I also tried the french toast matcha latte which I loved right away. A charming flavor I hadn't experienced anywhere before. My wife was obsessed with their sparkling lavender lemonade and had to get another one later in the weekend before we left town. Thanks Root, hoping for nothing but the best for you all!

The past 3 visits, both at breakfast & dinner times, have been extremely disappointing to a point I'm not sure we will frequent there like we used to. We loved the atmosphere in the morning as parents of a toddler, however everything else has gone down hill. The food quality has decreased, especially considering the price. But most of all, the service is HORRIBLE. I think the only thing our waiters and waitresses asked us over our past few visits was what we wanted to drink and eat (during the seated dining hours, not walk up order). Waters remained empty, we had to ask for everything between napkins, silverware, refills, and to go boxes. Not to mention, when we have questions about the menu, ones regarding dietary needs, the waiters and waitresses seem completely clueless. Even though we did all we could to kindly ask & be patient with them, especially during busy times, the bad attitudes & lack of personality came through pretty clearly. If you do not have any pride in your job, please go work somewhere else. Expecting a tip from service this poor is wild to me. Zero effort, lack of care, and no consideration for providing paying customers with a satisfactory experience. They'd be better off just having walk up orders, especially if they can't train theirs staff how to be personable with customers. I wouldn't be mad at this point if a different breakfast place took their spot at Breckenridge, but I do hope they improve! It's just depressing to me at this point.

That said, I feel inspired to take a minute out of my life and find out that this restaurant seems like a hidden gem. We've never heard of it before, and Tosca pointed it out out of the corner of our eyes as we were passing by. I think the restaurant looks very nice, Tosca pointed out that it is adorable and the decor is very relaxing. The service was phenomenal, and the people behind the counter are knowledgeable and very happy to help. Our server recommended the whipped carrot feta thingy, and it was superb. I had the sausage egg and cheese burrito, and it was spot on. Tosca got the El Goodo bowl, and while the ingredients were amazing and very nutrient dense, the flavor was amiss. This was remedied slightly by adding the roasted pineapple salsa from my burrito to her bowl. She also got the Go Greener drink, but it was lacking something as well. Not bad, it just needs a little zest or something. All in all, very good, and we will be back to try some of these other delicious looking items.

It's not, I learned, but studying the menu at City Silo you'd not be wrong to consider that, perhaps, there might be some buried in your food or green drink. The names given to menu items here are all playful riffs on the names given to THC and CBD products elsewhere in the country. Aside from the monikers, the menu here is a fever-dream of wonderfully healthful-sounding offerings and the physical space in which to enjoy it all is seriously perfection. It's immaculate and well-designed and just a charming place in which to spend an hour or two. Between two of us, a "Green Light Go" drink ($10.50 for a small), a "Super Classy" acai bowl ($13), and a "Kind Veggie Burrito" ($11) were consumed and we left feeling that this place practiced what they preached: clean eating, that makes you feel good about what you've consumed but also that you enjoyed consuming. My acai bowl was packed with so much good stuff (greek yogurt, almond butter, bananas, blueberries, strawberries, cashews, roasted pepitas, hemp seeds, cacao nibs, bee pollen, granola, and honey) that I wasn't even certain where the acai was. With an additional two outposts in Tennessee I can happily say that City Silo + Pantry would fit in perfectly in Northern California, perhaps in my neighborhood, where I'd be quite pleased to welcome them.
