I usually go through the drive-thru to pick up a loaf of tomato basil bread, but this time I decided to go inside. The place was pretty busy, but there seemed to be plenty of seating. When I got to the counter, I asked the cashier if they had any fresh batches of tomato basil bread. She looked in the back, and I thought she said they did so I went ahead and paid for it but then I noticed her grabbing a loaf from the display and cutting it as I had requested. I was honestly surprised and a little disappointed. I thought I was getting a fresh loaf from the back, not one that had been sitting out in the open. I really do like Panera, the food tastes fresh with good flavors. I really like the soups and their bagels are tasty. My problem is with some of the portions. This Baja Bowl was very good tasting Rice and quinoa, black beans, corn, feta, pickled onions, avocado, sour cream and an avocado dressing. I really like quinoa, so I was disappointed it seemed like about 95% rice with just a little quinoa. And for $11.19 it just felt like there should be more food there. Always a good choice for a quick lunch. I have probably orders food here more then 30x and the food had always been consistent. I like to order from the kiosk and then get the pager and sit down when eating in and if ordering to go I usually go through the app which is very convenient and fast. This time I chose to try the cinnamon crush Latte which was huge and really good. I usually order the BBQ chicken salad which is always very tasty, and I get the kettle chips which are really good. Don't be fooled by the steak and cheddar sandwich. It's roast beef and cheddar but is still decent. Having been here many times I must say it's overpriced. There are always long waits so pre-order from app. When you spend like 1000 bucks they give you a $5 reward or a cookie for having the app so that's cool. Price: if you have never been to a Panera before, expect to pay more than fast food fare prices, but it certainly won't break the bank. So after a few hours at the gym, my pregnant fiancé, brother, and myself decided to stop here for a late dinner. We all ordered using the electronic ordering devices near the entrance. We then sat down and awaited our meals. I was the first to get my food and this is where it went so wrong. A pretentious overweight unhappy, unkept, employee named Chuck brought me my food and simply dropped the plate onto the table and said "you have to be out in the next 20 mins" and left. Once he came back to drop off the other food I told him " I will sit here and eat my food until 10 when this place closes" he then said we'll kick you out and left. He returned to drop the last of the food off and o told him "I would love for someone to kick me out". He returned with "I'll call the cops" wow yeah that's a great way to talk to paying customers. Then I had the amazing experience speaking with the manager who seemed to speak in broken English, her name was gloria. I could already see the carelessness in her eyes through her black framed glasses. As I was explaining her employees misbehavior she turned around to look away and I had to remind her I was talking to her. Ordered a full size Southwest Chicken salad and it was pretty much the same size as my husband's "you pick 2" version, except that mine had nothing but lettuce, some chicken, avocado and tortilla strips. Salad should have onions, peppers and corn in it. I legitimately had 2 pieces of corn. Next time I'll skip spending $28 at Panera and go down the street to Bull and Bear and spend $30 and get 2 HUGE salads that come with everything on it. read more
