Me and my bf came here to have a light lunch one time and again to do the same with some studying done afterwards. Both times we used the electronic device that took orders to order our lunch and we had no trouble nor any difficulties with getting our food. The food came in a promptly time after paying for our order. The servers were nice and sweet and always greeted us with our foods in hand with a smile. On another note for those who have never been at Panera Bread before: Since this is a chain fast-food service kinda place, they can't do anything about the prices nor the portions. I don't know why so many of you are griping about the little things. Just deal with it. Staff at the counter who took order didn't seem familiar with how to use register. Had a bagel and pick 2 entree. Asked for bagel to be heated and sliced, it was luke warm. Sandwich was cool. Soup was served at appropriate temperature. The dining room was clean and inviting and the food tasted alright. Will give it another try, several months down the line. Ordered breakfast for a morning meeting thru the app. Got there an hour later but order was barely half-filled; they ran out of bagels, soufflés and spreads! How on earth does a bakery/restaurant run out of the basics in the morning?? This is clearly a (mis)management issue on poor inventory control. What's worse than delivery of wrong goods? I stop in here whenever they shut down the water at my apartment complex, which is about twice a week! I don't eat the food since I got food poisoning at a PB in MN. Maybe this one is better, but I don't come here for the food. I come for the coffee, which will send you into another galaxy. There is a place for a hot water container, but for some reason, it is never there. I have to ask the person behind the counter to add hot water to my coffee. They will do so without complaint but seems it would be easier just to put hot water in the place it is supposed to go. It seems the people behind the counter are sometimes confused. Who knows why, but it does reflect on the service sometimes, especially when two people order the 13 bagel special on Tuesday, so I avoid Tuesdays. The restaurant is spotless and someone is around to clear the tables and drop spots for dishes. I think this place just needs a bit of managerial polish and could be a top-notch Panara bread outlet. read more

COVID-19 had nothing to do with our experience today. One person was ahead of us...other than that, the place was empty when we arrived. After two other customers received their food before us, I thought something might be wrong. I went to the desk 20 minutes after our order was placed and was informed the prep team mistakenly put our order in a to-go bag. That was fine, mistakes happen. I took the bag to our table. The order was wrong and we were missing whole parts of our entrees. When I went back to the pick up desk, the staff was being loud and unprofessional in the back room. The order got corrected and I went to sit down only to realize I didn't have a spoon. When I went to the front to ask for one, an employee was putting an order into the computer. He was so put out to have to reach the 2 feet over to grab one for me, that he made another employee at the front get it for me. Sitting down again, I realized they did not include our bread, so my daughter went to ask for some. People can have bad days, but this is the second time in two weeks we have visited from out of town and had a poor experience with this Panera location. read more

I went to the kitchen for more dressing, but that didn't really help. My chipotle chicken sandwich again was not too hot. They did not ask for our bread choices. Maybe they were out of the choices. Place clean. Place busy. Bigger water glasses, but still used two. Food was out faster than first visit, despite being busier. It just doesn't seem like the Panera's we are used to. Waiting at register for a little bit before anyone came to help. We bought multiple items for a family of four. Out of multiple things...no problem. When we received our food at the counter the coffees were made wrong and then when we got the right one...they're not good at all. Just tastes like milk and flavor w/out coffee. One of the sandwiches were not made as advertised and ordered. I asked about it and the lady said "well we don't have that kind of egg here". My husband and I love Panera. We usually use the rapid pick up because it's quick and easy. However, the last couple of times we have ordered from Panera, we have items missing. We ordered dinner tonight and when my husband told them we were missing our cookies they asked to look through our bag to make sure they weren't in there. I understand they are running a business, but a $2 cookie would be the LAST thing we would be concerned about getting for free in a $30 meal. Not only that, but when we got home we were only given one cookie when we ordered two. It's frustrating to not receive something you paid for and then to be hassled when their mistake is pointed out. My husband and I tried to order online tonight via this location's website and were unable to based on an issue with the website. We called to try to place an order over the phone but we're told by the manager that we were unable to do so. I can understand that you want for persons to utilize the online ordering system but when it's a holiday and your holiday hours have not been set correctly it can cause confusion and an inability to place an online order within site. As a business owner I would never tell a customer they're unable to be provided a service based on ordering via phone or online but that's me. Exceptions can always be made for the right reasons. Ordered a couple of choose two meals for rapid pickup and everything was wrong! The chicken Chile salad had no chicken, the avocado and turkey sandwich had no avocado, and the Fuji apple salad had no apples. We didn't get any sort of heads up that they were out of avocado- at least tell us that before you try to fulfill our order! These people are terrible. I was accused of threatening their staff and told that over half the staff hate me because I quit working there. I am forced to go in to pick up my food when I order rapid pick-up. A manager said that I could continue to use their cafe or wait six months when they open the next two. I love eating there and never threatened their employees once. If you want rude managers and employees who flip you off and give you attitude every time, please go there. read more

We attempted to go to this location a second time after finding their dining room closed a few weeks ago. There were no signs saying their dining room was closed, and we found both doors unlocked as we go inside. Everything seems to be blocked off so we ask the lady if the dining room is open and she responds "No." We ask if the drive thru is open and she ignores us. As we walk out and get back into our car, another employee walks over to the window and then proceeds to make a show of ensuring that the doors are locked all the while staring us down as if what we did offended him. We were going to go through the drive thru, but the way they acted seemed like they wanted no business from us. I can't believe I actually have to write this review... but what the F*** Panera? So I ordered 3 of your pastries the French Croissant, the cheese danish, and lastly your staple baguette. It's currently 10am. Strike 1 The French croissant was terrible, it was like eating a mega mart croissant that lacked the signature crisp and flaky shell, and has no buttery flavor. It's a disgrace to even try to equate it to France! Strike 2 The cheese croissant had the same issues as the croissant, but this time it was made worse by the fact that it was stone cold and clearly not produced that morning either, it's rather dense considering it's supposed to be made of puff pastry... and it too is not crisp. At 8:30 tonight, we went to Panera Bread. We tried to order. No one answered. We drove up to the window and looked. No one was near the window. We honked quickly a couple of times. Someone came to the window and told us they closed early. It was literally at 8:30. Very disappointing when you drive 15 min to spend about $40 at Panera, and they don't want to serve you because they decided to close early. The baguette was rock hard and I even asked for another one that the drive they employee talked shit to her coworker and then handed me another one that was just as hard. I enjoy the chain, but the Lubbock location is not only slow, but lacking in customer service. We used the drive through and after paying we waited 5+ min for 3 toasted bagels and 2 drinks, this was after waiting 5 minutes to get to the window. We we're finally asked to pull forward and several minutes later our order arrived, there was no apology, just a rood here you go. She quickly walked away and we found that our order was incomplete, I went inside and the manager was standing there, she was pleasant, but again, no I'm sorry, no sense of regret for the poor service. Went through the drive through. Service was not fantastic. Debit card not returned to me ( my mistake since I was in a hurry) the next day I have several charges on my debit card. One of the employees decided to use my card for a mini shopping spree. When I contacted the managers their response was not apologetic and not helpful in trying to determine who the employee was to reprimand her. I'm happy to see a new franchise that ISINT already running itself into the ground with a lack luster staff and terrible kitchen quality. I really was, but are we at a point that we will pay high end prices for fruit that isint rotten, veggies that aren't wilted an real meat? Is that the standard we expect? I had a turkey sandwich with a pickle spear and small bag of chips and it was $10! Add my drink an I was pushing $13! Also has the French onion soup, good but not amazing. I opted for the bowl vs the cup. To my surprise it was not very warm and the bowl wasn't even half full! $6 that cost me. We went with myself, wife, 2 kids (2-girls 2/4) and both grandmothers. So really 2 adults, 2 seniors an 2 kids under 5. Oldest got the mac an Cheese and the youngest a pbj. The GMs got salads an soup combo. Our ticket was $65!! Just think that a bit pricy for soup an sandwich. Staff was good, as I would expect. Again food quality was above average but I felt like the piece was much more than an avg soup an sandwich should be. read more

This is a great Panera location. I've had Panera in many cities, including St. Louis (where it was started), and this Lubbock one is really nice. They have the updated kiosk ordering system, the staff are friendly, and the place itself is spacious, modern, and impeccably clean. Our food is always ready quickly and tastes great. Definitely a great place for a casual lunch or dinner. read more
