They do not want to take your order in person and I guess they want you to order using their kiosk machines. Sometimes people just want to place orders in person. I should've read the reviews before stopping by with my family today. What horrible service. It took more than 20 minutes to get our dinner of three soups and two Mac and cheeses -- all of which simply require scooping into a bowl. After 12 minutes when I approached the counter, it took multiple minutes before I was acknowledged and even then no one had any sense of urgency to make my meal. There were no orders in front of us. And an order came in after I stood at the counter, which was then made before ours. The manager provided no assistance and barely even apologized. To make it worse, my soup was incorrect. When he remade my soup it was obvious he was punishing me for being upset. The bowl was not filled and it was 90% broth -- very little chicken or rice. Follow the other reviews and do not come here. I hate leaving bad reviews, but this Panera is an embarrassment to the franchise. Today's bad experience is the tipping point after several bad visits, so here it goes. I used the app to order macaroni and cheese and soup, and nothing else. It was supposed to be a quick lunch order because I work nearby, but I've been sitting in the pickup line for well over 15 minutes after pickup time. I need to leave to make it back from lunch on time, but since I've already paid and I'm sandwiched between cars, I'm kinda stuck. Since I'm angry, it's probably easier to bullet-point than rage... *This place is almost always a ghost town-never more than five customers when I come, but it's inevitably slow. *They have kiosks for ordering, but if you actually want front counter service, good luck. I stood up there for five minutes once until I finally gave up. *For some reason they have you take a number so your order can make it to your table, but they never bring your food to the table. They do scream your number from the little kitchen window, though. *All that waiting and hoping and when you finally walk up and get it yourself, you get bad food. By bad I mean, stingy portions, cold, brown lettuce, the kind of bread you have to dip in your soup, not to soak up the last little bit, but to soften it up enough to make it edible and to prevent slicing your gums. Meanwhile, since I was in the car with my husband, I got out, walked back to work, and left him sitting there. He said he got the food after another 30 minutes with no explanation other than, "Sorry, we're short staffed." In any case, I frequently visit Panera in other cities and towns and they've never ever ever been like this. If a first-timer visited this location, they'd probably never visit another location again. Corporate, if you're reading this, you might want to revoke their franchise because they're a VERY poor reflection of your brand. I'm a positive person, but I can't think of a single nice thing to say about this location except that if you work close enough to walk over on breaks, the sip and save drink program (whatever it's called) is great during the off periods...unless they're out of cups, in which case, refer back to bullet point two. As for me, I'm done. I don't know who owns/manages this place, but whatever you're doing, it's all wrong. I'm deleting the Panera app, and never wasting my time or money on this location again. If I want soup or mac, I'll go to Chic-fil-a or grab the pre-packaged stuff from Target or United. read more

Well, to start with I was not greeted upon entering the location. I only found kiosks available to place my order. Upon placing my order and paying for it, a screen popped up and asked if I would like to tip the team. This perplexed me quite a bit because I did not see any team as you'll see in my photos. The only thing the team did was to prepare my food and I didn't actually see anyone or interact with anyone until my last name was called and my bag was abruptly placed on the counter before me. It's very sad the direction the service industry is going. Kiosks save labor, but are void of any kind of human interaction with the guest. They do not speak to you. They do not make you feel welcome. It's been a long time since I've been to a Panera and will be longer. The place was boring. There was no music only empty silence. Giving them one star was pushing it. But they don't allow negative numbers. I hope whoever operates the location has better success in their future endeavors. I walked from my hotel and went over to Panera, walked into a side door. An employee was just sitting on a laptop in one of the booths. Didn't say hello, didn't even look up from the computer. All the lights are off in the whole building. The manager was just now walking in at 8:58. Which they open at 8. I waited at the cashier and there was no one. I love Panera! I was excited to come here because I always go when I'm home in New York. So I really wanted a chocolate chip cookie (they're the best) and they ran out, so one of the workers gave me the cookie bag! She was SOOO Nice! The other workers here was very nice as well.
