I don't normally write reviews but this place is rough. Brief: Dirtiest Panera I've ever been in with the weirdest tasting food and the most lackadaisical staff. Not so brief: Stood at the counter for a while waiting to order. It's dinnertime on a weekend. There is no cashier in sight. Finally, after about 3-4 minutes, the lady behind me loses patience and calls for someone. The kid comes around from the back like he was probably on his phone. No biggie. He rings me up. $11.01 for a sandwich. No biggie. ApplePay didn't work. No biggie. I go find a table and sit down. It's sticky and has crusted food on it. No biggie, I'll clean it myself. There are no napkins in any of the receptacles. No biggie. I'll go ask someone. I go to the food window, multiple workers see me and carry on like I don't exist. No biggie. I get someone's attention, "may I have some napkins to clean the table...all the dispensers are empty...or you can give me a rag." He gives me napkins. I wipe down the table with some water from the fountain. Cashier kid comes out and half-heartedly wipes down a different table. I was there for several hours as customers came and went--no other tables were cleaned that I saw. There is dirt and grime everywhere you look. Food comes. Great, because I'm hungry. Sandwich is built odd. I ordered a Turkey Bacon Avocado something something. Turkey is piled up tall and avocado is lumped on one side. French baguette is tough, almost stale. Bite into the sandwich, there's like one piece of bacon that is so infinitesimally small and crispy it looks like it was cooked for an hour. Second bite, I hit ice. Something in the sandwich is literally frozen. I eventually chew through it. I've ordered a lot of these turkey bacon avocado--whatever--sandwiches over the years and I've never tasted one this weird. I also think there was some sauce in there that didn't belong. Corporate: This place is not measuring up to Panera expectations. It's disgusting. If you're going to be expensive, be better--fix this place. Management: This place needs a deep clean (is COVID-19 still a thing?), or at least do what all your signs say you're doing about sanitation. Also, please talk to your employees about making the food correctly. This was my first time inside your place and I could tell after 5 minutes why you have hardly any customers during dinner time on a weekend in a relatively good-sized city just off an interstate. I know you care. Hire people that care too. Employees: I know you guys are under-staffed, but if you want people to feel safe eating at your establishment (and become regulars...which means better profits...which means better wages for you) you've got to keep it clean and cook food that measures up to the Panera brand. read more

Today is opening day for the Martinsburg location of Panera Bread! Try the You Pick Two option on the menu, where you can order half a sandwich and a cup of soup. The summer corn chowder is amazing. I got part of a baguette with mine, dipping it into the soup. Delicious! You also can't go wrong with the wild blueberry scones. So yummy! Drive thru is available at this location. read more

They never get my order right which is funny since it's printed clearly on the tag they staple to the bag.9 times out of 10 when I go there they leave off something.The sandwich is called a bacon,egg,and cheese ciabatta and then they leave the bacon off even though it's in the name lol.Go back to get it remade and they remake it wrong again!This most recent time they left off the avocado I paid extra for and the aioli.Also they never keep their online inventory up to stock so I have to get a refund constantly.The staff can be very rowdy and LOUD when making the food in the rapid pickup area and it's nice to hear about how the guy making your breakfast sandwich is being cockblocked.Maybe he is so sexually distracted and frustrated with his meat it makes him forget the meat on the sandwich lmao read more

I went with family and our food wasn't hot, the Bistro French Onion Soup was missing croutons and cheese, and they gave us the wrong cookies. Also we were told the Autumn Squash Soup was out of season despite it being the middle of October. Finally the cashier told us they were out of baked goods (including the bread used for grilled cheese) for the day and it was only 12 pm. read more

Stopped in for a coffee around 11:00am and was told they haven't made coffee yet. Interesting that someone pays for a monthly coffee subscription, but can't get coffee. Not the only issue with this location. I have stopped going there. Too many bad experiences recently. Hopefully, they will get it together. read more

Panera is one of my absolute favs for lunch and even a light dinner. This location was a mess! August 14, 2021 visit for lunch. The dining area had garbage all over the carpet, several tables dirty from last diners, huge holes in the seat cushions with the stuffing oozing out, wet floor around the self serve cold drinks, and no lids for a regular size cold drink cup. Avoiding stepping on ice on the floor, I had a bagged lemon cookie in my hand, that flew out right under the flooded drink machine as I was avoiding stepping on ice cubes. I asked for another and got it albeit they only had 3 left which were all cracked and falling apart. The regular size strawberry poppy salad my husband ordered was lacking chicken meat and toppings, while the pick 2 one I had was nicely loaded with goodies. In the Women's Room I found no toilet paper in my stall, sticky floors and a messy sink with a plastic ketchup bottle containing hand soap. Absolutely not expected for a Panera. Ugh. Thank goodness we won't be going back to that location...we're on vacation. Let's go management! Clean up this place! Today! read more

Tried to order delivery and they don't deliver to my address and it's like 6 minutes away from my house. Reason for no stars.

I only ever get the broccoli and cheese soup. Its delicious but I feel like the quality had declined a little.

I normally do not post bad reviews. If I don't like some place or disappointed in a place I do not post a thing. Well last night's experience for me was uncalled for. I will start out with I normally seek out Panera when I want something special. I ordered chicken noodle soup. My son ordered the pick 2 deal, a tomato bisque and a chipotle chicken sandwich. My daughter ordered a grilled cheese and my husband ordered the pick 2 deal soup and sandwich. When my husband and son brought our food over I noticed my soup looked off. I went to taste it and it was luke warm. They served me luke warm soup. My husband took it up to the cashier ,mind you they were not busy at all we were the only customers at the time, he was told by the cashier that MY Husband could microwave it in the microwave. Once again they just let this soup less than a minute ago go out lukewarm and MY Husband can reheat it HISSELF. Then the cashier walked away. Seriously not a good move. I know I won't hurt the company by not going back to this particular Panera but I do hope someone in corporate or management see this so it will not happen to someone else. read more

My favorite breakfast sandwich is the Mediterranean Egg White on the sprouted grain bagel flat (rather than ciabatta). Every time I have ordered it, the sandwich was a mess because the bagel was not cut properly and the inside of the sandwich ended up all over the wrapper and me. This morning I stopped by to express my concern and show a picture to Brenton, the manager on duty. He took what I said to heart, ordered breakfast for me and made certain that the sandwich was perfect!
