Hit this place on a Saturday morning.. lucky for me I was between crowds. Good tasting coffee, couple of flavors out to choose from, had great cinnimon rolls,cibata bread breakfast sandwich with egg, cheese,sausage. Service was excellent, food was tasty and they have a loylaty card .. so you can earn free stuff! Thumbs up! Panera has something for every one. I've started watching Calories & Sugar so their Chicken Noodle Soup & Tuna Sandwich were very good and healthy. The Order Line was long but moved very quickly and the Food was served within 5 minutes of placing the order. I've always enjoyed the Food but unfortunately I'm going to be staying away from all the DELICIOUS DESSERTS they have. Some Panera's are cleaner than others. We ordered 3 sandwhiches a avavado egg white and spinach, sausage egg and cheese, and a ham egg and cheese. After we waited 25 mins our order was a train wreck. I got the avacado egg and cheese and one side of the egg was completetly burnt and the opposite side the middle of the egg was gone like the size of a half dollar and to add insult to injury it was ice cold. This resulted in a refund. Granted the Manager was nice but absolutely clueless as to whats coming out of his kitchen. My wife got the ham egg and cheese which had enough cheese for all three sandwhiches. After peeling back a few layers of cheese she was able to eat it but she said it wasn't that great. Luckily the only sandwhich that mattered was my son's and it looked decent and he enjoyed it. Plus I'll add that this place was absolutely gross. I had a horrible experience at this location. I usually love Panera but after this experience I'm rethinking that altogether. I ordered a meal for my family at around 6:00 for delivery, since we were only about a mile away. At around 730 or 8:00 we called, and the management was extremely apologetic and said they were sending someone right away. At 8:30 it finally came, but was missing almost half of our order. We angrily drove up to the store and explained our situation and they didn't apologize once and just said they'd get the rest of our stuff. They told us they were out of all baguettes (which were all the sides we had bene missing) and they were out of bread bowls for the 3 soups we ordered. My first time back in Panera in a while and what happened!? You order iced coffee, they hand you an empty cup. Proceed 50 feet away to get ice yourself, then come back 50 feet for the self serve coffee. Need a straw? Its 50 feet back the other way. Its like a lost, drunk person designed the layout. read more

I run in Panera's when I want a sandwich that makes me feel like I am eating healthy but this one has just gotten out of control. It's always so DIRTY. I thought I would puke in the bathroom. Dirty tables and staff moving so slow to clean. Since we carry our own dishes to the trash all they need to do is wipe and sanitize the tables. Seems like they are always dirty. Panera Bread is my mom's favorite place to go for a brunch and lunch type. I don't usually like Panera that much, It's not because of their wholesomeness and freshness of everything. It's just not me, but whenever we(family and I) go to Panera Bread for lunch sometimes dinner, the place is a little busy & the wait takes a little while. The last 2 times we went there, the cashier always has a hard time hearing us. However the people are not so loud, so he/she should be able to hear us perfectly. But somehow it appears not to be. I just let it go and not let it bother me that much. But to me, for some reason, it seems like their breakfast and all, behind the clear walls, they are like old and have not been tossed about and made new and fresh ones aboard. Which gives this place a bad taste, but with the name Panera Bread, it should not be like that, it should warm and fresh and ready to go or to eat food, in front of you. This particular Panera is not a corporate Panera, it is a franchise. Most of the time when I go in there, there are dirty dishes overflowing out of the tubs, and even on top of the bins to where you can not put more dishes down. I recently went in there and it took me about ten minutes to get a parking place, which I didn't mind. I was in line at 10:20 and at 10:32 I got my order in. There was a long line, going out the door, with only one cashier. She stated we quit taking breakfast at 10:30. I told her it was only a couple of minutes past and I had been waiting in line. It didn't matter. I called the manager later and suggested if they use 10:30 as the exact time, he may want to get extra cashiers in helping at 10:20 or so to make sure everyone is served. I also told him, if he has a line, and not enough help, and can not serve people so they are able to capitalize on the breakfast before it changes over, he should provide something complimentary. The only thing I'd prefer is more space - seems like this location is always overcrowded. First trip to a Panera Bread and definitely the last. The order taker was brand new and had no knowledge of the menu. I can understand that. But she did get my questions answered and was very courteous. I had the Steak and Blue Salad. The romaine lettuce did not seem to be very fresh. It was full of the lower tougher whiter end of the leaf with little of the green leafy part. The steak was tender and sliced thin. I think the worst thing was the amount of fried onion pieces that came out of a can. There was more of that than lettuce. Spent 10 minutes trying to pick it out of the salad. I really should have asked for a new salad. I was in the restaurant well after the lunch crowd - about 2pm - and the vacant tables were dirty. I go to Panera just to get the freshly baked bread. I order the country Miche and get it sliced thin along with some plain bagels for my daughter. The service is fast and efficient and friendly. There's always someone in there. Food and service have really gone downhill in the last few years. The portions are very small for what you pay and as for how it tastes, it's really nothing special. The way everything is put together seems very sloppy and if you're ordering online, what you ordered will not be in your bag and you'll have to go through the hassle of getting your order correct. Never was a big fan of Panera, and today reinforced my position. I wanted a salad, so the lady went and did the pick up. I ordered the Summer greens salad. They dice the cucumbers, and most of the greens are arugula and kale. Whoever decided these two plants were good food had to be a sadist. Very little Romaine lettuce. The cucumbers were all the skin pieces with very little of the vegetable to be found. To add more insult, the arugula and the kale both had stems still on them, most of them. You can't order a salad the way you want, because all of them come in on a truck, pre-packaged to corporate specifications. For the money you get charged, you should be able to order what you want. In short, to me this is the McDonald's pf "healthy" eating, but there isn't even a clown to distract you. read more

Normally I order in store, but I decided to get Rapid Pick-Up this time and I'm disappointed. The portion size of my salad is much smaller than the dine in portions. The ingredients of the salad looks as if it was thrown in hastily and they couldn't even bother cutting off the brown end of the avocado that's not supposed to be edible. They don't always make your food correctly, messing up simple salads by putting in completely wrong ingredients. Very disappointed in this location. I love Panera but I've had more issues with this location than any other. All of my orders are to go and in the past, I made the mistake twice of not checking for accuracy before I left. Both times, I ordered the Chicken Cobb with Avocado and I did not get avocado in my salad. Today I paid $1 extra for avocado on my sandwich and received a tiny slice of avocado. I complained and my issue was resolved but I shouldn't have to do that. After the order was placed, it was QUITE surprising THAT both my wife and I had to repeat afterwards our soup order..." What kind of soup dId you want? " I went to get water and I received a CUP of soup....and NO coffee. I seldom give a review like this, but the service deserves noting. Very disappointed. This is not my first rodeo at this Panera, but my first review. Previous to this adventure I purposely didn't review that the tables needed cleaning. The first few occasions I ate there I just decided it was a bad day and let it go. They're fortunate I didn't give them one star tonight. That's my opinion. I have been a fan of Panera for years. My company and I have ordered numerous times with large orders and they have been accomodating. Today, I experienced the worse customer service I have ever experienced. I called in a phone order for 11 of my staff members for lunch at 10:30 for pickup at 11:30. I figured it was enough time to have it ready. First off, I spoke with someone who had ZERO personality and had a hard time even taking the orders. Secondly, I had to add 2 additional orders and he basically told me no because the restaurant was too busy and he had to call me back. He took my number but never called back. I had to call back 15 minutes later to adjust the order. I am highly pissed at the poor customer service received today. When we go to pick up the food, the orders were wrong and not ready even after coming at noon, giving them an additional 30 minutes and they ran out of half gallon jugs for the tea. WHAT IN THE WORLD IS GOING ON?!?! The Panera on Midlothian Tpke is usually better than this, but there are always issues with phone ordering. In my opinion, if you know you are a busy loacation, you need to have additional staff on the phones as well as in the store to handle the times when you have large orders being called in. Constantly messes up orders. I ordered online and picked up the order. Watched a manager and another employee check the bag and then handed it to me saying everything was there. Got back to the office to find multiple items missing. When I called to make them aware, I received an excuse blaming glitches in the system and for me to have to drive back up there to pick up the items or receive a "make-up" at another time.
