I was in the area and decided to give this place a try since we did not have lunch plans. I ordered the buffalo chicken caesar wrap with cajun fries and it was delicious. The wrap was very flavorful with a great ratio of fillings. We also ordered the mozzarella sticks and cheesesteak egg rolls to share and both were delicious. I hesitate to review newly opened places because I feel strongly that staff need the opportunity to get in a groove, so let me preface this review with the understanding that day 3 doesn't mean we won't go back. The place is LOUD, and the atmosphere is kind of sterile. The kitchen looks to be the size of a backyard shed, so what they put out is impressive considering the size. Staff hustle and are super nice! There is no kids menu though, which surprised me since it's a casual place. The food is kind of all over the place. The mozorella sticks were very good, wings were solid, and pizza was unique. The cocktail menu is surprisingly large and slightly confusing in that there are plenty of island like cocktails. We've ordered take out pizza from Outpost a few times and it's been good. Tonight we ordered a Nonna pizza which had olives, peppers, artichokes, tomatoes, etc. The flavors were great, but the bottom crust was so soggy that it was gross. Even heating it up didn't help. read more

The burgers are large and stacked with everything plus a but load of fried. I got the vinegar and pepper ones and they were great, happy hour has some great specials and last till seven. The atmosphere was overall okay. It is really loud inside and if parents don't correct their kids and let them kick under the table (which happened while there) it's a bit unbearable. The service was just okay. The people working didn't seem overly friendly. The only lady that was super nice and inviting with conversation about the menu didn't even work at that location and was helping out from the sister company wood and iron. We got the cheesesteak egg rolls and they were good but I've had way better. House salad was good. And the pizza was amazing. However, the price of $16 (and some change) for the pizza to come with zero toppings except for cheese is a little high. Each topping is a steep price of almost $3 dollars which makes your wallet only want a cheese pizza which is a shame bc your mouth wants the flavorful pizza with lots of toppings. Overall not a bad experience but also not an overly great experience either. Only thing that was exceptional was the pizza. The food was fantastic and the service was even better! I rarely leave reviews for places, but this visit was definitely worth leaving one. I have been here a few times before and have had nothing but positive experiences. Today was even better as I brought my boyfriend with me and he has Celiacs, they were extremely accommodating and attentive and their menu is really inclusive for someone with allergy struggles. My pizza was messed up at first, but they caught it and remade it before ever bringing it out to my table. The only negative with that was that my remade pizza had red sauce on it instead of the white base I had originally requested. But that wasn't a big deal since it still tasted fantastic! The gluten free mozzarella planks were absolutely fantastic, probably my favorite of all mozzarella sticks I have ever had! I will definitely be back soon! read more

Great new spot! For a sit down pizza restaurant it was really enjoyable. Don't get me wrong I still love me some Sergio's Pizza but Outpost is a smidge closer so I'd probably go more often. Pizza crust is different than most. You have an option of cauliflower or sourdough. We got sourdough for both, it has a hint of flakiness which makes it unique and has a good crisp. We had the Hot Honey Cup Pepperoni pizza (good flavor, honey added good sweetness, wished it was a tad spicier, but I added spice with red pepper flakes) and the Garlic White Crispy Chicken Pizza (this was a made your own pizza, it was good, but we wished the Garlic White sauce was a little more flavorful). The Pepperoni Rolls were delicious, definitely recommend those (same as what you would get at Wood and Iron, they are owned by the same crew that also owns the Flying Pig). Drinks were tasty, my husband had a Mango Old Fashioned and I had an Orange Crush. All in all adults and kiddos enjoyed the food. We will need to come back and try some wings too! They have a pretty large place and pretty big bar and outside area. I would say, my only comment was we sat outside and our table were in between the handle door and the large open bar door, the waiters/waitresses would go through us to get to the large open door since they didn't have to open it, we'd recommend that you either remove that table so it's easy access for the crew or change it to a two seater vs four seater. One of the waitresses literally bumped into my husband as she was passing through as he was eating hot pizza. At any rate, I still recommend it, we will be back. read more

The service was great, our server was very sweet and attentive . Unfortunately the food is not good. Had Cajun fries with queso and all of it tasted like... nothing. I mean NO flavor. Also had pepperoni pizza which had very little if any sauce, basically cheese flat bread with pepperoni and again lacking in flavor. This place has a lot going for it. Although I was a carry out customer, I sat in the dining room and watched TV, it's a great atmosphere to watch sports. The service staff seems friendly. BUT --- the pizza is awful. The crust is good but the sauce was so salty we literally couldn't taste anything else. My entire family of four was one piece and done, we gave it to a neighbor. Happy belly alert! Just tried out Outpost Pizza at Westchester commons. We started with the spicy garlic mozzarella sticks (mozz sticks tossed in their spicy garlic wing sauce). Phenomenal. For the main course we shared "The Great Debate"...half the pizza had sliced sausage and the other half had crumbled sausage. So delicious...both types of sausages had tons of flavor (nobody asked but I preferred the sliced, hubs preferred the crumbled and our 8 month old isn't ready to settle the debate yet). The star of the show? THE SOURDOUGH CRUST. It was light with a perfectly crispy bottom...absolutely amazing. The pizza is good, the service is good, the restaurant is clean. My grandson and I went to Outpost Pizza Company due to an article that was in the Richmond Times and Dispatch. The article indicated that they had the best wings in town. Evidently either Richmond doesn't have good wings or the writer/ author of this article has not had many wings in her life. The local newspaper is not a good indicator of where to eat. If you're looking for pizza, this is a good place. If you're looking for wings, go somewhere else. read more

Pizza has a different flavor profile unlike other pizza places. Pizza shines most with more toppings so I recommend not getting just a pepperoni pizza. Wings are the same as the flying pigs. Was not a fan of the pizza rolls. My favorite was super supreme and looking forward to trying the other specials. Seating situation isn't ideal so I will most likely get stuff carry out. The sourdough crust is amazing! We've been twice since they opened and have tried both the sourdough and cauliflower crust pizzas and both are dynamite! The cheeseburger egg rolls are a must have. Because they just opened, they still don't have an ice tea machine but the full bar makes up for that! Tonight, Olivia was our server and she made sure everything met our expectations. My husband and I were curious about this new restaurant, having experienced a couple of this group's other dining establishments. Pizza is definitely a tricky one for us, as we are from New Haven, CT; "Pizza Capital of the World," according to Dave Portnoy! So we've learned to set our sights a bit lower...sorry, Midlo. As far as this "pizza," you'd have to set your sights even lower. They're small, the crust hard and tasteless and the prices too high. The toppings weren't bad tasting, just minimal. The sauce was decent, but almost nonexistent. Which brings me to the decor...There's nothing visually appealing about...nothing...unless, you like looking at TVs. There's plenty of those! So you ask; is this a sports bar we're in? With a name like "Outpost," an encampment of some sort? What's it about? What's. It. About?! Other than the sports programs displayed on every tv (there were 12 in a "restaurant" that used to be Noodles & Co.!) and the mix of 80's/90's music blaring in the background, there's nothing else on the walls...nothing...minimum to the max...to even prompt a guess! We just didn't know what these owners were trying to get across: "Bland Brand?" "Less is Less?" How about "Mystery Menu," as there's nothing posted on the To Go wall to order from, either. Perhaps they're expecting you've called in your order already and not walked in from one of the many stores or apartment buildings that surrounds the place? That's doesn't seem very smart and certainly not very inviting...Hey! Maybe that's the brand they're going for: "Not Invited!" No problem, we'll take the party elsewhere, next time.
