We love Panera! We love our sip club memberships! We've been on the road for two months and have visited dozens of locations in seven states! We ordered in the app, walked in and grabbed our cups and filled them with caffeinated deliciousness. This location was clean, staff was on point and the coffee was delicious.

I have only ordered delivery from them. But food came in a timely fashion and there was one item missing. Called and the manager rushed it right over to me. Great customer service.

Panera is fairly new to Missoula and is one of only three locations in Montana. It is located in the Target shopping center right off Reserve Street. There is plenty of parking and designated handicapped spaces for those who need them. They offer both dine-in, drive thru, and curbside pickup, making ordering a breeze. Thr first thing I notice whenever I walk in is how clean the restaurant is. The trashes are not overflowing and the tables are all wiped down after each customer leaves. The stations to fill up your drinks is constantly being wiped down and cleaned and the attention to detail shows. In the 20 minutes or so we were in here today, I watched the cashier wipe everything down at least three times. High five for that! Now for the food part of my review: Their food is pretty good! I have not had anything that I didn't like. My one complaint would be portion size. For the price you pay for the items on the menu, I would expect the portions to be bigger. I feel that issue stems from the corporate aspect of things, and not so much from the actual location itself. The quality of the food is definitely there, and you can taste the freshness in each of their menu items. The small portions certainly will not keep me from coming here, as they do have some really good items. We purchased a loaf of artisan bread a couple weeks ago to go with an Italian dinner we were making and it was delicious! I love that they bake their loaves of bread daily because it is a quick and easy to stop to pick some up as a compliment to dinner. One thing I didn't mention is there are charging outlets at each of the tables. I personally would probably never utilize them, but it is a great idea for those who will. If you haven't already......go get yourself some Panera!

    not veggie sandwich

absolute disgrace. order a vegetarian sandwich, hurrying back to school i begin to eat my sandwich when i notice somethings not quite right. IT WAS A CHICKEN SANDWICH! i'm incredibly appalled as panera has broken my vegetarian streak of 7 years. the vegan police are now after me. my stomach is in shambles. you may be wondering "how did i you not notice the chicken?" my answer is simple... HOW WOULD I KNOW WHAT CHICKEN TASTES LIKE. #nevergoingtothisestablishmentagain

We ordered on the app and showed up - turns out my order didn't go through (my fault) and the manager was so kind and once I ordered correctly, they rushed my order. The manager was so helpful, friendly and kind and they were super busy so I didn't expect my food to come so fast. We ordered a flatbread and chili and it was so delicious! Definitely coming here again!

You could tell that the menu changes seasonally due to the layout of the menu. We ordered the Vegetable Green curry soup and the Red Lentil soup. The broths were very flavorful with a bit of spice, but not too much. They had plenty of vegetables and lentils. You have several different sizes to choose from. They also offer food to go. The cilantro and cashews on top of the soup gave it a nice crunch and added flavor. The Thai Peanut salad was loaded with crunchy fresh vegetables and a delicious sauce. The bratwurst came in a sandwich. The sauerkraut was a little sweet and not bitter/sour tasting. The brat had a thin skin that was easy to bite through. The house mustard was like deli mustard with coarse seeds. The bread was soft, but a little too much for my liking. Overall, I would recommend this business for delicious, fresh and fast food especially if you love soup!

I am vietnamese and have always loved going to pho places anywhere i go and i've never had pho like this before. The meatballs were literally ITALIAN SPAGHETTI MEATBALLS. I was baffled. Id much rather they just say that they don't have meatballs than put frozen italian meatballs in my pho. the broth was not pho broth either. it was good broth, but didn't taste like pho. i think they don't use any chinese five spice in it. they also do not have any traditional pho additions. they don't have tendon, tripe, and apparently no meatballs either. they did not serve the pho with mint or basil or lime. just a sprig of cilantro and some bean sprouts. they did not even have chopsticks. really really sad that both times i've come here i've had the same experience, i thought that the first time i just came on a bad day and tried to be understanding of them not having any traditional pho protein options. spring rolls were good and the stir fry my husband got was decent. just don't get the pho. just to be sure that i posted this to the correct business, this is the pho place that says "vietnamese noodle restaurant" on the building, not the name of it, "pho vi".

A little tacky. It might be a bit high energy for some folks. We sat at the bar and had a drink while we waited. The thai lemonade was fairly bland. Although I did discover, through pocket research, that most thai iced teas and lemonade get their orange hue through food coloring (major blow to my assumptions about mixology). The food, on the other hand, was fantastic. Some of the best thai fried rice I've had. And the green curry was solid. And the cashew stir fry was decent. My one criticism is that I asked the host what she would recommend on the heat scale, and she recommended a two or three (although she bragged that she does a seven -off the scale- because she eats there all the time). I got a three. Lesson learned. Never take advice from a White lady from the Mountain West when deciding spice level, no matter how confident she appears (I should have done the five). However, we did get three types of hot condiments for the side (garlic chili sauce, house blended pepper flakes, and spicy fish sauce) and they were all fabulous. Overall, this was a fantastic thai experience. I've never eaten Thai in Thailand (for all the people complaining about authenticity), but I've eaten it in enough major US cities that I can confidently say it's as good as most other Thai spots. I'd definitely dine-in if I ever found myself back in Missoula.

I also really appreciated that they offer several vegan options. I ordered the Creamy Blue Smoothie and the Banana Walnut Oatmeal. The oatmeal was absolutely AMAZING--perfectly cooked, flavorful, and easily one of the best breakfasts I've had here. It's the item I'd recommend to everyone. The smoothie was good overall, but the fresh mint was a bit overpowering and left an aftertaste for me. I think it would be even better without the mint or with less of it. I also appreciated that they use compostable straws, although mine was cracked when I unwrapped it. Later, I came back for lunch and ordered the half Brussels Caesar Salad with the vegan protein. The vegan protein (chickpeas and lentils) was delicious, and the half portion was surprisingly large. I also liked that the dressing came already tossed throughout the salad. One thing I found a little confusing was that the Brussels Caesar uses a vegan dressing but is topped with cheese, so I'd be curious what substitution is offered for guests ordering it vegan. The bread was good, although the butter was served very cold and was difficult to spread. A few suggestions that could make the experience even better: * Add a larger "Basal" sign above the entrance to make the restaurant easier to spot. * Install a large wall-mounted menu inside for easier viewing. * Keep tables and chairs wiped down throughout the lunch rush. The restaurant was spotless during breakfast, but by lunchtime several tables and seats needed cleaning. Given the price point, I'd expect a bit more attention to dining room upkeep. Overall: good atmosphere, friendly staff, and good food. I recommend the Banana Walnut Oatmeal.
