This business is run by an incompetent manager who verbally abuses her employees & encourages cleaning measures that are not in coordination with company policy (ex. using bleach to clean down areas that come in contact with food). The management does not fairly compensate loyal & hardworking employees. They have the means to increase wages for those who have worked for months, or even a year, and choose to neglect those employees in favor of paying new employees more for less work. Called to place a to go order over the phone. Location closes at 6pm. I called at 5:33. I was asked if "I was aware they close at 6pm" I replied of course that is why I am ordering to go. Lady on the phone taking my order seemed annoyed that I would even think of placing an order at this time. I started placing my order over the phone and she passed me off in the middle of taking my order to another co worker. Who then finished taking my order. They told me I had to pay over the phone. I told her that someone was already there to pick it up and I would have him pay for it there and not over the phone. She then put a manager on the phone who stated the order needed paid over the phone. I explained to them that the person that was picking up the order was there and would pay for the order. I told the manager on duty (I think his name was Jason... not for sure though because when I asked his name he hung up on me) that someone was there at the location already to pick up and pay for the order. He kept stating it needed paid for over the phone. I told him I was texting the person that was there to come inside to pay for the order. The manager hung up on me. I am a long time consumer of Panera Bread and I have never experienced a single bad customer experience at any location I have been too, until today. I will not order from the this location again and they have made me a one and done customer for this store. I do appreciate all the great experiences I have had with other locations and other great experiences that I haven't encountered yet with future locations....This location should be ashamed of themselves for their failure in providing a great customer experience to their clients.....Monaca PA deserves better. read more

I love Panera Bread, but DO NOT recommend this location. My past 4-5 experiences have been nothing short of horrific. This visit, the manager argued with my (newly hired) server while he was clearly stressed during peak lunch hour. He asked his coworkers for help and they shot him down. He was very flustered, and the manager was very rude. This was after we had waited in line for 15 minutes. When we got our food, we realized that we had been overcharged and that our waiter had given us full size portions instead of "pick two". I ordered two soups, and was given a fork to eat them with. We were out $5-6, had way too much food, and terrible service. This Panera needs an upgrade in management. read more

The staff at this location isn't very friendly on the whole. I wish they had more seating at lunch, but there's only so much they can do with the space they have. Several times I've come in between 11 and 2, ordered my food, and been surprised to find that there are ZERO seats, including the patio. The ordering process is straightforward (unlike the store in Cranberry, with multiple counters), but they are rarely accurate. Every time I order the steak sandwich, I ask for no onion. And, without fail, it comes with absolutely laced with onion. A few times they've given me the wrong soup, too. Really, any order with more than one component is likely to be messed up. Don't expect to find parking in this parking lot; you'll likely need to park across Wagner Road and play frogger to cross it. I like Panera; I genuinely do. But, this particular store doesn't do it for me. read more

I enjoyed my meal and the price wasn't too bad. I had never been to a panera bread and was pleased with my meal. That said, its really just a glorified Subway. The few side options they have are just pre-made microwave dishes. The bread is tasty but its still just a sandwich. Good place for a quick lunch but nothing to write home about. read more

I wanted to get a free range, antibiotic free grilled chicken on a whole grain, gluten free roll with fresh picked arugula and an heirloom tomato slice topped with some goat's milk Dijon mayonnaise but the line was slow and I had a coupon so I went to McDonald's and got a Grilled McChicken instead. We had a very disappointing breakfast today. Our egg sandwiches were horrible. The egg had no taste and there was hardly any bacon on it. I'm not sure how they are cooking the eggs but the first sandwich I got was over easy. Every other time I ordered this sandwich I never had to tell them how to cook the egg. read more

Panera is one of the few places in Beaver County that I can count on for a healthy meal when I'm home for a family visit. I love Panera but had to give this one 4 stars because of the poor wi-fi and no table service like we have at many of the Charlotte Paneras. Not sure why it takes Beaver County an extra 5 years to catch up with the rest of the world. read more

Friendly but very slow Panera location; both times visited during my trip in Monaca they only had 1 register opened even though the line was long. Getting my order was also slow. They do have a nice sized patio for outdoor seating. read more

All my friends from high school make great cooks and baristas. The sandwiches are tasty and the soups meaty. Bread bowls are just a bad idea. Little pieces of bread floating in your soup the entire time, and when you're done, you're left with a soggy lump. Cool place. read more

Broccoli cheddar soup all the way!!! Best i've ever had. On the other hand their smoothies are sub par. The sweets are perfect for any sweet tooth. Bagels with cream cheese are fire. Overall they are very overpriced especially when it comes to the you pick 2. From the first time I ate at a Panera restaurant I have been a fan. I like the way the restaurants are decorated and the fresh breads and pastries are so enticing. I love the value of the half and half which is just the right size for a meal to me. With that said, this particular location has a bad habit of not completing your order correctly. We have had to return on multiple occasions because something was left out or the food was not prepared correctly. The people there have always made it right when we returned food but honestly I am tired of having to go back. For that reason I can only give three stars. read more

Was eating my $10 pick 2 and browsing on my computer. The manager came up behind me, cleaning a table, and mumbling abut how there weren't enough tables for the big groups coming in. This was clearly aimed at getting me to leave sooner, so here I will sit, working for a couple hours. I've ordered lunches for meetings from here, etc. The manager is never nice, but this takes the cake. The workers are always smiling and professional, although the turnover seems to be excessive. Get yourself a Greek Salad and a French Onion Soup - skip the meat, enjoy the tang of the vinegar in the dressing, thrive on the salt and onion and melty cheese of the onion soup. This is comfort food gone healthy. Add an unsweetened fancy iced tea and just say, "no, thank you" to the tempting array of pastries, especially those cherry cheese filled delicacies cause you know they taste so good, but they don't quite pass the "Eat healthy!" mantra. C'est la Vie! Okay, so you caught me, the soup is a tad salty and I can't say no to their bread. But overall, when compared to the American Ideal of the Big Mac -- talk about Salt! -- Panera is a much needed solution to a traveler's healthy eating dilemma - when fast slow food is the order of the day. Panera is panera so you know what to expect. I'm here to rant. I'm tired of paying 5 bucks for Mac and cheese or buttered noodles in a kids meal with no drink included. The food and everything is great when you dine in but every single time I get takeout they mess up atleast 1 or two of my orders. It's unacceptable and very expensive for food I didn't even end up receiving. I live almost 20 minutes away so I don't wanna go back. I have often found it difficult to purchase a quantity of bagels (usually 1/2 doz.) at Panera in Monaca, PA, because they are out of flavors suitable for breakfast, but they usually have many asiago bagels. I was told a year ago to call the day before for my order. I have done that often & did so yesterday for a morning pick-up today as we were headed out of town. When I went to the store, my order was never filled. The salesperson told me she could have them baked if I waited a half hour or so. I told her that was impossible because we were driving out of state at that point. I explained that their bagel selection has been poor, no matter what time of day I come in, & that I had been advised to call in my order the day before. Now, apparently, that approach does not work, either. I took all plain bagels, which was about all they had at 9am, except for the usual asiago cheese abundance. She offered to give me $3 off on the 8 bagels I purchased. I said nothing, but I thought they should have been free. I did tell her that the 2 Paneras that are 1/2 to 3/4 hour drive away have a bigger sales traffic, yet they usually seem to have a better selection. The Monaca Panera, 10 min. from my house, can't seem to make much more than asiago. I do enjoy Panera food very much; however, I believe the Monaca store is very poorly managed. I have mentioned this issue to this location before, but it appears no changes have been made. I do not think I am the only customer to try to buy 1/2 bagels at a time. I am posting this review & intend to contact Panera, hopefully, to institute changes to improve our location. They have been open since 2008, so there has been ample time to meet local consumers' needs. read more
