An okay experience... Years back, this used to be a family favorite to go to when we were in the area. Not quite sure what happened! Starting off, some of the workers are very nice and welcoming! The other workers, especially some of the workers in the kitchen - seem to not want to be there. Service overall was mediocre in my opinion. Moving onto food, it also used to be way better. The Mac and Cheese tastes.. watery? I'm not even quite sure how to explain it, and I'm experienced with explaining food. Majority of the cookies are good, the frosted ones are very very sweet though. The brownies are the only thing I thought was fantastic from here, but for main meals, Panera has been a little disappointing recently. Finally, the atmosphere. The atmosphere yet again is mediocre, it doesn't impress me. Most of the tables are cleaned however, the floor doesn't always look clean though. Impressed by the bathroom, which seems to be clean. The art on the walls near the dining area is a nice touch, but overall the atmosphere is a little underwhelming. We stopped by Panera in Monroe tonight. We were greeted by Gio and asked about several items on the menu. He recommended a few great choices. I had Grilled Cheese and Tomato soup and my wife had Cibattta Cheesesteak and Tomato Soup. Both were excellent. Gio was extremely friendly and professional. Worst Panera Bread I've ever stopped at . I understand employees don't control a machine breaking but when I ask if they have any hot coffee I get an attitude from someone pretending to be manager. Went here on Saturday March 2nd 2024 with my mom to get some lunch after shopping at nearby walmart. We walked in and gave our order. I ordered the you pick 2 Southwest salad with the bacon chicken sandwich, and my mom ordered the you pick 2, broccoli soup with the southwest chicken sandwich. Also a drink. The reason why i put 4/3 stars is because the cashier who took our order did not ask us if we wanted bread, chips or an apple. She did however sell us 50% off pastries. We paid via credit card. We then waited by the kitchen, and realized that the cashier forgot to give us our drink, not only that she sold us the pastry, but didn't give it to us after. Luckily we saved the reciept, and she gave it to us. After the food came out, we asked for the drink. We only paid for 1, and not 2, but were given 2. we then went to the kitchen part and asked for a blood orange lemonade, and raspberry tea. We also asked for chips since we weren't given a choice.. I stopped in on my way out of town. My first time there. The staff was extremely friendly and accommodating. I was asked if I wanted water while I waited. They apologize for the delay, although there was not one on a Sunday afternoon. I had an interaction with 4 staff members, all were extremely professional, and friendly. Very much appreciated. Good job management training. My only complaint is that you don't have lobster rolls, like your new England counterparts. Please get some. It will make your staff happy too. :) read more

I'm surprised by all the poor reviews! -First Impression- everything was clean, and every employee was busy doing something, but not too busy to say hi or smile -Food- I always order the exact same thing: frontega chicken and broccoli cheddar soup with bread. Never disappoints! -Service- There was no line, I was immediately greeted by a girl fixing up the front displays. She asked if I was ready to order, which I was, and if I had a Panera card. I declined to order a drink, but she gave me a cup for water anyway. My food was brought right to my table by a young man who was running around the dining area helping other patrons, making sure everything was to their liking. But i dont really want to let this one go - today i ordered a 2 for 2 meal, one of the two items being turkey chili. Halfway through my cup, my spoon fished out a piece of metal. Yes, a literal piece of metal. I went back to the store and called upon the manager, who was understanding and explained to me that the metal came from the chili pot and must have broken off. Went here after a visit to Massage Envy located in the area for a quick bite. Noticed the lobster role on the menu and decided to give it a try. Yesfreisi, I guess that's how her name is spelled, has to be the most unenthusiastic employee. Her customer service skills was as flat as the bread. After reading a number of reviews and most of the consensus say the service is the number one issue here. The food is Panera and should follow form. I have always had a great dining experience at the Middletown, NY Panera Bread Restaurant. Food is always fresh, service is wonderful, and there's always someone to help from the staff if you need something. I am very surprised that at other Panera Bread locations such as New Windsor, NY, Monroe, NY and others where their service lacks what people are looking for, which is good customer service. My suggestion to Panera Corporate is to randomly audit each of the Panera Restaurant locations that have a low Customer Satisfaction Index, and retrain the employees that are creating the issues, which can also include the General Manager. If the problem locations are still not performing well, even after Panera Corporate making the effort to effect positive changes, then it's time to restructure the locations with replacing the problematic staff including management to improve the stores performance level. There's an old saying that what one person does, it can affect everyone else. I'm hoping Panera Corporate sees my review and takes the random audit suggestion seriously in order to improve the problem store locations that need to be closely monitored where no repeat issues have to be addressed. read more

Recently I've had several issues at this Panera bread location in Monroe NY. My biggest issue is ordering on mobile or even in store and not finding out that they don't have a certain topping or drink AFTER my order is placed and I'm waiting for it. The first notable time was when I walked in and placed an order for a Madagascar vanilla cream cold brew. I was given a buzzer and sat down to wait. After about 15 minutes (to make a drink and it wasn't busy)my buzzer went off and I went to go pick up the cold brew. When I got to the pick up station I was informed that they did not have the drink. I was extremely angry because I could have been notified well before hand but I let it be, and got a refund. I dispise when my time is waisted . Second incident was today about 3 hours ago. I placed a rapid pick up order for a Fuji apple chicken salad, no onions, added avocado and cucumbers and I substituted the chicken for smoked pulled chicken. I Literally got greens, avocado, cucumbers and the smoked chicken. (Mind you when I got there the order was not ready.) I LITERALLY got NOTHING else in the description of the salad. Not even the Apple chip slices. This is highly upsetting to me because I paid full price for the salad and if I was to add certain ingredients the price would go up. Nothing on the app said that there were no apple slices or anything else that was supposed to come with the salad. Again this is not the first time I've had my order completely wrong. There was no communication to say hey we don't have these toppings. How do I get charged full price for mediocre service? I understand COVID has slowed some businesses down or they are short on employees but the least they can do is COMMUNICATE!!! Let the customer know what's going on.
