Panera Bread is not the healthy alternative it once promoted itself to be. Just like any fast food chain, the delivery item's formula will be equally determined with rations of various ingredients.. Can I say just how boring this is?? Not to mention the wide inconsistency in service. I initially came to Panera for healthy foods. I really enjoy most items at Panera but this location is the absolute worst! Where do I start? I almost never receive all of the items I order and you have to ask for a receipt!? I just received my order from Panera through Ubereats and I'm so disappointed. I ordered a half grilled cheese sandwich and a salad, I didn't realize the sandwich was so tiny. Also, someone decided to roll it in parchment paper, not wrap it so it was stuck on my sandwich and I had to rip parts off it. And my salad I got it with quinoa and I saw some in there but they put rice which I did not request. After all the tip and delivery fee, my order was over $25. They only credited me $5. Throwback to when I was exciting when this Panera first came to this town. They used to be alright but the past two or three years suck. This Panera has screwed me and multiple people I know over countless times. They put soups and Mac and cheeses in the bag upside down at least 2 times to just me. They never have bread and one time they charged us for bread and gave us scraps. They also charged us for a FULL BOWL of soup and we only revived a half of a cup and they didn't tell us they were low. When we confronted them they gave us a watered down version of the soup. Panera bread food is Panera bread....awesome. had a weird experience at this one though. I placed my order with Erin, very sweet, very professional. There was an employee behind me that ordered (gym rat). I went and sat down by the pickup window, since I was the only one In there I'd knee it would only be a min. So muscles walks to the chick preparing orders (5'3 dark long hair) and starts telling her how bad Panera bread water is, and instructing her on his order, i.e. no bread etc..., and shortly after gets his food. There's def a lack of communication between the kitchen and the front because I noticed at least 3 people were told they were getting a bread bowl, myself included, and when when the food arrived they told us they didn't have it so we got extra bread on the side instead. It was annoying because I specifically asked about the bread bowl, otherwise I may have selected something else. With that said, Gary served us and he was extremely nice and accommodating. So it's been a while since I dare come into Panera, but I have been back 3 times in the past couple weeks. I must say staff is very friendly and seems to be better organized. The beverage area was cleaner than I've ever seen it and my order didn't get screwed up. One tip: their dark roast coffee is the best and as result, it runs out often. I am a panera fan and been to many locations in NY state. This panera location is close to Woodbury Outlet area and conveniently located in a mall, close to our hotel. We ordered a rapid pickup for two pick twos. We arrived and it was ready. That is a plus. Although there are couple of things that were not great about this order. When we order a pickup, The soup cups are usually put on a holder, to prevent spills. No such holder was present in our box. Also there were no spoons, we had to ask for them. At first sight into the bag, The side breads were thrown into the bag without any covers . It is not nice to have them like this inside the bag, without any cover or just a napkin around them. Lastly my chipotle chicken avocado melt had an avocado that was partial black. This is unacceptable. I took it out and eat the rest but I am not happy that I saw this avocado in my sandwich. Overall, I didn't like the quality of service in this location. Panera chain is famous for accuracy and for me it always mean neat and thoughtful service. I come through the drive-thru for lunch and they have gotten my order wrong EVERY single time. Now I never drive away without checking my bag first. Sometimes it's on the wrong bread, or the sandwich has something you requested not be on it, and today the side-mayo was missing. I ordered the ham and swiss on baguette. It's always a crap shoot as to whether the bread will be fresh and crispy or old and chewy... chewy today. The ham (which tastes great) is torn into little pieces for some reason and it looks like they are just left-over scraps. The sandwiches are ALWAY messy and the fillings sparse. For these prices they should pay more attention to quality control. That's what is supposed to set Panera apart, but their standards are more in line with BK. read more

My Fuji Apple Salad was very little and it was a whole salad. Very disappointed in my order. This isn't the first time that this has happened. Not sure how they run out of iced coffee on a cold Saturday afternoon ....and then a surly worker says "we don't have any more". Then I have to ask where rags and spray are to wipe my own table, only to be told "someone will be right out". Then of course the same grumpy fuck that said they were out of iced coffee when asked, was the one who brought our food, which despite being bread bowls of soup - were mostly cold. When I attempted to now fill my cup with iced tea instead, of course they ran out of ice. Service at this Panera is soooooo SLOW! From the order line to food pick up or table service you'll wait minimum 15 min for you food. By afternoon they're typically out of everything particularly different breads and pastries. I also find that the staff cannot keep up with the stores cleanliness; the soda and coffee areas are always deplorable. Not bad. Turkey avacado on sourdough was good but I recommend getting the full. The half is pretty small. And I've never had an apple as a side before. That was different. A good healthy option. Strawberry smoothie was ok but didn't jump out at me. All in all not bad but nothing amazing. read more

I decided to take the drive to go to this panera instead of the one in Newburgh. It may have just been the specific day that I went but the whole place inside was almost full and the line to order was long with only 1 person working who was simultaneously doing the curbside pick up until finally someone else came to the register. With the amount of people working in the back you thinknthe food would come relatively fast like at the other location but we were waiting longer than usual. I wasn't complaining since the waiting allowed us to go back in and get a table instead of outside. However, I had went back to just get an extra thing of dressing and the girl was extremely cold and just sort of glared at me for a hot second, even though I was being very polite. I knew i probably would need another dressing but didnt want to go back up to her. It just felt a little unwelcoming. Also the machines for the teas were a little crusty looking in my opinion and looked like they needed to be cleaned. A big clear difference between this one and the newburgh one as well was the lack of hand sanitizer that the other offers throughout. The service was deplorably slow...we had to give our order 3 times and then got to the window and the employee said the other employee didn't put it in and took the order again. I'm here at least 3x a week & order food every single time. I'm greeted by the wonderful cashier who already knows I need my coffee or tea ASAP. A mostly friendly environment, with the exception of someone who seems to always avoid our table, once cursed us out very loudly when we complained about the smell of straight bleach (two of us are allergic, and it was making us feel very sick.. but that isn't his problem.), acts very annoyed when he brings out our food, stares, looks like he's ready to start yelling... I guess he doesn't like us? Unprofessional. When I'm there alone he seems more than fine and friendly, but what matters is what happens when I'm also with my team. It makes me very uncomfortable when we have these experiences with him, to the point I feel uncomfortable when he's working. I don't say anything though since we are there most days out of the week, often for a while, just drinking our coffees and eating our food. We love the staff and food. Everything else is fantastic! "We don't want to throw away product" so they only order so much and then SCREW anyone who comes afterwards. It's a BREAD company running out of bread! Either the Manager(s) or the franchisee or both/all of them do not care to support their own Panera menu. The Manager said to "call ahead first." Call ahead for FAST food, are you SERIOUS? The food is always fabulous but, go through the drive-thru because the cashiers in the front are always so slow... I literally just sat down because it took whoever, 15 minutes to ring up ONE PERSON in front of me. Then, she kept getting my order wrong and giving me cold cups for a hot coffee... it's like, pay attention. Now that the food is here, I have like 15 mins to shovel it down my throat. Can't tell you how excited I was to get a Panera down the road. Unfortunately, I most likely will not be returning unless we eat-in and I can watch them prepare my food. They screwed up my take-out order three times in a row. The first time we went through the drive-thru and the girl messed up our order twice. When we lost our patience the second time we had to repeat our order she stormed off and asked another worker to help us. Mind you, we were NOT out of line, but clearly annoyed that she wasn't doing her job. Maybe if she wasn't chatting up her co-workers in between taking our order, she would've taken it correctly the first time.
