It has missed greens, tomatoes, bacon pieces, croutons and other goodies, along with a green goddess dressing and a side of ranch dressing. It was very fresh and yummy!! My soup was delicious as well!! Hot, creamy, and just good!!!!! I had a strawberry and basil lemonade to drink and it cooled me down after the sunny, sandy beach day!! Driving thru Moorehead City, NC, on 70 West and spotted a Panera. Awesome! I've been a Panera "Sippy Club" member forever. Let me pull in for a coffee and a scone. Whooah. Sorry I did. Can you day 'dirty'? Like tables not cleaned off. Crumbs, crumbs, crumbs on the floor. Kitchen floor had lettuce and wet, wet, wet behind the counter. Waited at the counter. Waited. Waited.... Finally, a kid emerged from somewhere and took my order. I said "coffee mug for here, please." He asked me if I wanted my mug for "here". Duh? Oh well, got a mug and a scone. You guessed it...coffee was tepid at best. Scone was not yet stale, but not far from it. Sorry I stopped at this Panera. Maybe somebody at Panera Central will read this and get this place up to speed. We'll see. No we won't. Not coming back. read more

I just came back from Panera Bread in Morehead. I got the new cranberry chicken salad sandwich, what a disappointment. It was dry and crust so hard you had to bite and tear. I also tried almond pastry,not good-it must have been 2weeks old,pastry was not bakery fresh, just dried out and so called filling was gard. I have never had such a disappointment in Panera. Don't think I will be going for a long time-unless I hear new managers. read more

I just went through the drive thru about 5-10 minutes ago and ordered a Strawberry Poppyseed and Chicken Salad as well as a Cheddar and Broccoli Soup, that is not what I received. The salad had NO chicken but I was charged for it, and the soup was NOT cheddar Broccoli. The soup given to me not only smelled spicy but also had potatoes, peppers, and corn. The overall service was nice, however I DID NOT get what I paid for. read more

Well, not sure where to begin. The cashier that takes the orders was not very helpful, nor did she make us feel welcomed. I ordered my usual, 1/2 Napa almond chicken sandwich and 1/2 chicken Fuji apple salad with a small coffee and a cookie. She forgot my dessert. Cost $16.61. The place was a mess. Tables and the floor were dirty. There was only one other couple in the place and yet no one was cleaning the restaurant. If I had been the owner and walked in to see my place like that, heads would have rolled. As for the food, the cooks did a great job but must have not read the receipt because I got a huge salad, (thank you) that was very good. My sandwich was delicious. My friend got the soup and salad and her salad was much smaller than mine which she mentioned to me and was bummed because it really was really good which meant she got less. LOL. Anyway, the food and the cooks get 5 stars, but the other staff and the place not being clean gets 2 stars, which would give them three stars, but it should have been better. read more

Sad that Panera here in Morehead City has deteriorated food wise. Had not been in a few months but today the chicken noodle soup bowl was more like a cup size. Also got the Fuji apple salad full size and it was missing several ingredients like the tomatoes to start with and the chicken was almost nonexistent. This is supposed to be a cold brew with vanilla cream... This is the 2nd attempt of making it, first attempt was completely white in color and I asked for it to be remade. I order this several time a week, and I have never seen it this light in color - it doesn't even taste like coffee, just milk and sugar. Gross. The workers are nice but the food quality is TERRIBLE. I was pre aware that all of their food is frozen and thrown in a microwave but the last three times I've come here my sandwich was still cold in the middle. Not room temperature like the sandwich cooled off but refrigerator COLD. I always order a half Frontega chicken sandwich and a cup of soup but the last couple of times I've been they've been really bad. This Panera Bread location is unorganized and unethical. No restaurant should say they are open until 9:00PM and when someone pulls into the drive through at 8:55 PM, the window person doesn't answer my question of "Are y'all closed?" until 8:58 PM. They replied with "We are closed for the night." That makes no sense at all for a fast food restaurant to say they are closed, before closing time and not serve a customer. I only wanted a small cup of Turkey Chili Soup. They would not serve me. Sandwiches here are very poorly made and not worth the price they charge for. I have been to only one other Panera Bread location and this one just seemed .....not clean. It had a odd smell....and that wasnt the fresh bread cooking in the oven.We sat down with our food and my arms were sticking to the yuckyness on the table.The bathroom........ewwww. And it was way to warm in there! It was a bazillion degrees outside and we needed a cool spot....not a smelly hot spot. But we did eat, and yes the food was good.I still think they are over priced sandwiches but they do taste good. We ended up getting the Turkey with Spinach-Artichoke dressing on Foccica Pannini, and the Chipolte Chicken on French (We split them and are able to try each one) That was the only bright spot about the whole visit. Paneras in Morehead City is always consistently good. We've been going there since it opened. Their soups, salads, sandwiches, bagels, baked goods are always tasty. Souffles for breakfast are our favorites. Coffee flavors, like hazelnut, are a treat. Especially like "pick two", which hits the spot and the Drive in! Upon arriving at the designated time I chose to pickup, I was informed the my order could not be filled. Best Panera I have ever been to! Pierce was so kind and attentive. I forgot to ask for my bagel to be toasted--he assured me that it was no problem and gave me another bagel that was toasted. I work down the street and visit this restaurant weekly. I've never experienced uncleanliness - infact, I wouldn't come back if I had. I grew up in a household with a sanitiarian (health inspector) - so my eye is trained to see "issues". The service is very good and the food is great quality. I recommend it to anyone looking for a consistently good meal - just be sure to look at the nutrition info before ordering - their breads and sweets are tasty but REALLY high in calories/fat. read more

So glad a Panera opened at the beach. This area was lacking a good, quick and somewhat healthy breakfast place and this was just the ticket. Great for any meal, and rarely disappoints. The salads were looking on the skimpier side here and the turkey artichoke panini had no artichoke. Maybe it was just an off day.
