Ham and Gouda Baguette w honey mustard- definitely a hearty choice!

A nice location for Panera favorites. Clean and comfortable- all self serve registers made for quick service (not everyone's favorite but we like it for customizing our food quickly). Food came out hot, fresh, and in good portions. Love the drinks here too. Free Wi-Fi meant several people set up with lap tops. Not cheap but good quality and consistent food.

I will never come back to this Panera Bread! I went through the drive through for the first time at that location since it was completely empty. There was not a single car in the drive through. I waited 19 minutes and some change after I placed my order to get my food (yes, I am a patient person). When I got back to work and opened my salad, my for broke as I tried to pick it up. Yeh avocado was as hard as a rock and still had some skin on it. That's the one thing I look for when getting this salad! One star for the soft fresh bread but no thank you! Will get my salad somewhere else.

What is supposed to be in this picture is a large a large Mac and cheese. Does that look large ??

We are done with this location. The one in North Charleston has good customer service and food. We have given these guys more than enough chances to work this out but they continue to disappoint. Today we paid $13.09 for what was supposed to be a large Mac and cheese. Please see picture. There is about an inch in that cup. WHEN this place closes it will be for poor management. I don't know at what level the failure is but the employees working there don't care and it appears there is no one there to remind them they should

    Tuesday baker's dozen special.

This location had its official opening today. I stopped in because of the advertised special (13 bagels for $6.99). If you have had their fresh baked bagels before, you know this is a great way to start the day. I assumed it was an opening day special but get this, it happens every Tuesday! Now that is a reason to get to the store every Tuesday. I have the online/mobile app so I was able to pre-order my baker's dozen. Super easy navigation online. Sign in, go to bakery, find bagels and select the special. The choices for the bagels are prefilled, which could be helpful if you are ordering for a meeting. You can make some changes but it seems certain types have to be included in the special, at least on line. **** Huge tip**** if you want these bagels sliced, you have to modify or ask for it. I completely missed that option this morning. Arrived at the location about 20 minutes later and my order was complete, waiting for me to pick up. Their inside pick up station is organized by grouped alphabet, based on tour last name. Looked for my ticket, checked the receipt on the bag and off I went. Smooth and simple. They are also offering curbside delivery but as today was opening, I wasn't sure how busy it would be already. I saw at least 1 spot reserved for curbside parking. Overall, a good visit. Most of the staff had on masks and gloves. The spacing looks pretty appropriate for current times but not all tables were being used. They have an outside seating area. 2 disappointments..1st--some of the bagels didn't seem especially fresh. Maybe it is because they are packaged in paper bags; maybe its because they aren't big sellers. The cheese bagel was perfect. The chocolate chip bagel was not. Also, before you order the sprouted grain "bagel", look at the picture I posted. I think it looks like a cookie; not a bagel. It is crazy thin and no hole (lol) I didnt eat it so can't comment on taste. It does say "flat" in the order form so maybe I was just unaware. Trust me, I know now. 2nd-All the bagels were packaged together. Meaning the cherry vanilla ended up with everything seasoning on it....not a great taste combo. Could have gone into separate smaller bags to keep savory away from sweet. Not a big change needed but would make a huge difference to those eating.

What a great new and convenient place! Everything is just so practical about it. You can order in so many ways 1. Drive through- and it moves pretty fast! 2. Order online/ call and pick-up in store 3. Order online/ call and have it delivered 4. Order online/ call and do contact less pick-up. You park in a designated spot and the food is brought to you. 5. Order inside on a self-serve screen and pick-up a buzzer 6. Order inside with a real human! Goodness me! SO many choices! There is seating inside and outside too. The tables are spaced far apart. The place is spotlessly clean and I saw someone cleaning quite thoroughly each time a guest left an area. This particular Panera has a very happy feel about it. It's light, bright and airy. There is also free WiFi and a few students were studying away. I ordered at the self-serve counter which was simple to do. All menu items were fully described complete with a picture. I paid using my card on the self-pay device and then picked up a buzzer. There is a pick-up counter with a screen that will have your name. Not only will your buzzer "buzz" but your name will be on the screen under "ready for pick-up". A person collects all meals that are ready and moves them onto shelves where you can pick-up from. This place is awesome!!! As far as the food - it was wonderful. I enjoyed an Asian Sesame Chicken Salad and my daughter had the Chipotle Chicken Avocado Melt. Both items were very fresh, wholesome and satisfying. This may be our new "fast-food"

Good soup and bakery. $10 sandwich left much to be desired! Good addition to the area, but this was my 2nd subpar experience.

Think 'an Anthony Bourdain experience' in the heart of North Mt Pleasant. His plates are VERY generous and I can usually get 3 meals (2 heavy meals) from a single plate. Dry rub pork ribs (or smoked chicken wings), a fab mac and cheese, my favorite baked beans on the planet, red rice, and slaw. Plates are $25 and worth every penny. He also sells a la cart. He encourages passersby to 'pull up on him' but if you want to be sure he's not out of what you want, you have the ability to text your orders and pick them up. If church tables and folding chairs along the roadside don't scare you, Mr. Cromedy offers seating. Before you dismiss my mentioning it as sketchy, I've had good conversation and met some very interesting people at those tables and chairs; yesterdays long distance trucker from south Alabama says he takes 41 on purpose just for Mr.Cromedy's 'cue. Once you've been there, you know. My parents even posed for pictures with the Cromedy family and the trucker and other random North MP residents on yesterday's visit. It's weird but it's not weird. I did not see Undercover Boss/Ian Cromedy BBQ on Yelp so I created this. This dude deserves some attention. He's on par with the bigger pit masters. Just no brick and mortar. Including his (current) weekly menu so you get a feel for his offerings!

Despite the big crowd, they were able to get our Coffee and Food out quickly. As we waited, we enjoyed the soft sound of music that was dialed to the perfect volume level creating a relaxing environment to get work done and enjoy our breakfast. My Latte came out first, unlike many coffee shops, the balance between milk and espresso was flawless. To preface this reaction, I do enjoy tasting the robust flavors of the beans in a latte, and they nailed it at Owlbear. The Frothy Effervescent milk foam was immaculate; the baristas here are consumate professionals.... Now, on to the breakfast burrito. I asked the sales associate for her recommendation between the lox bagel and the breakfast burrito; she stated that the Burrito was a very popular item, so I gave that a go. I was blown away. What stood out to me was the slight hint of lime in the āhuacamōlli (hear me out) made this burrito unique and special. The spice level was not overbearing and the potatoes were perfectly cooked. To wrap things up, I highly recommend Owlbear cafe, and will be visiting again when I voyage to Charleston later this summer; one thing to keep in mind with Owlbear are the portion sizes, I wouldn't call myself a "big eater"; However I was left wanting more food as the portions are very small, almost warranting a removal of star #5

Ordered an iced vanilla latte, it was pretty tasty. Loaded avocado bowl was decent. Avocado was fresh and ripe. Egg made the way I ordered. The menu says it comes with kale, I received lightly sautéed spinach. Potatoes were seasoned and a bit undercooked, but I enjoyed them. I added prosciutto (+$4!!) and it was way too salty to finish. They fry it a little which explains the saltiness. I expected the charcuterie board type. Sourdough crostini was way too toasted, I was only able to buy into the middle part. ~$30 on a meal that was just really not worth it.

I also love the interior color used, as it is warm and relaxing. We like to sit at the booth bars, as they are just 2 tops, but give an added privacy by the design. Lola Rose features a comforting and approachable menu of big, seasonal salads, wood-fired pizzas, housemade pastas, local seafood and traditional mains. At the bar, classic favorites are served alongside creative spritzes and cocktails, local beer, and a wine list that focuses on Mediterranean and coastal American winemakers. Plus Lola Rose is the second concept from James Beard award-nominated chef Kevin Johnson and his wife Susan, who opened The Grocery in downtown Charleston in 2011. We have had the pleasure of seeing him in action and he is always approachable to the guests. We have visited Lola Rose several times and enjoyed many menu items. The rosemary focaccia is always a must order. Other great starters are the arancini, Sicilian meatballs, and our favorite is the roasted beets. Another great option to start is with a pizza, they have 9 different pizzas to choose from. Then an appropriate entree would be a pasta dish, we like the rigatoni verde and the bucatini. Note their pastas are all made in house. On our most recent visit we ordered the seasonal Softshell Crab special, and it was impressive and more delicious then expected. We appreciate that they had this item during the softie season, and this tops our list. Don't forget dessert as the budino and limencello cake are delicious sweet endings. Lola Rose makes going to downtown Charleston un-necessary, and it's location is easy to get to with plenty of parking. The service and the menu make it worth the visit, and we would recommend to all.

The manager also seems to recognize us every time we come in, no matter how long it's been since our last visit, which is a nice personal touch. The open kitchen adds a fun element to the experience. One of our favorites is the orecchiette ragu pasta -- we always ask for extra sauce, and it's absolutely delightful. We were a little disappointed that the calamari wasn't available on this visit, but we still really enjoyed the arancini, which are served with a wonderful tomato dipping sauce. We've honestly never had a bad meal here. My husband tried the shrimp pasta dish this time and really enjoyed it -- it had a nice little bit of spice that added great flavor without being overpowering. Overall, the fresh pastas, pizzas, and appetizers are all great choices. They also offer a fun happy hour with discounted appetizers and drinks. Definitely a place worth stopping into, and next time we're hoping to enjoy the outside patio when the weather is a little warmer.
