The staff was friendly and patient while managing the long line of patrons (10 people) efficiently. Everything was bussed and cleaned in a timely manner. The bagel sandwich was delicious until I felt the crunch! My heart sank a bit, there was a chunk of egg shells. I love that Ruby's uses fresh ingredients but double checking the cracked egg bowl to ensure no egg shells is preferred. I think it's a fluke and will be fixed in the future. It won't stop us from returning for our favorite bagels in town. read more

The ultimate bagel place! It's pricey but worth it. My favorite is the lox and bagel, salmon with cream cheese and capers with tomatoes and onions. It's fresh and delicious. It costs $16.95. This is expensive but this is like two meals for me. They have a great selection of, including the honey bear. What's really great is that we are really growing north Mt. Pleasant. I love that. I don't need to travel far to enjoy a great breakfast. Sunday mornings tend to be very busy, so be prepared to wait for your taste of heaven. read more

I popped in on a Saturday morning to grab a bag of bagels. I swear there had to be 80 or more people between inside and outside, dining and having fun. What looked like it should have been chaos turned out to be a well-oiled machine. I did not wait in line; the gal on the register was super friendly, and my to-go bagels were handed to me in short order. The ingress/egress at this location is dicey - any business in this tiny shopping center will be affected by somebody in the town of Mount Pleasant's poor planning regarding the driveways meeting the main roads. While I hope it will not deter eaters from trying it, it's worth the warning to be careful. read more

Ever since they've opened this location we go here weekly for our bagel fix. Great selection of bagels, solid coffee, and great staff. Service is always pretty quick and have done to go orders here too. Love having a Rubys closer to the house now. The only critique I would have is that sometimes when ordering online ahead of time - there are a few things not available online that you know you can get when you roll in the store. ...like when it's only 8: am and I can't pick sun-dried tomato bagel and you know they're not out of them! Jersey Girl here and the bagels I will say are just like up North. Perfect density and chew factor. Great variety of bagels and sandwiches. There's a bagel for everyone here. My son loves the bacon habanero, my daughter loves the sun dried and although I'm usually an egg everything with PORK ROLL (not Taylor Ham) girl, the Rosemary Sea Salt was amazing. I'm definitely going to have to get a lox and pumpernickel everything next because I somehow missed that and it's my favorite. I placed an online order and immediately realized it was to the wrong location. I called the store and explained I had sent to the wrong location and they told me they had already started working on the order. 30 seconds is the fastest I have ever heard of any restaurant to start working on an online order. Incredible bagels and coffee! My husband walked in during a very busy time but couldn't believe how quickly they got our food out to us. They took a little longer on coffee which was totally fine but they felt bad and gave us a few bagels on the house. Totally unexpected but was so incredibly nice of them. They go above and beyond! The bagels are very good - authentic NY bagels, best around. Nice selection of flavors. My only advice is to back off on the salt in the veggie cream cheese and less sugar in the cinnamon raisin walnut cream cheese. The cheeses are loaded with all the good stuff but the seasonings of excess salt and sugar overwhelm the flavor. Nice job - been dying for good bagels here in the area for 13 years! read more

As a NY transplant the bagels are pretty solid. The egg sandwich is middle of road and the cream cheeses are good too. This is my return visit review. For an establishment that claims it roots in NY/NJ their understanding of a Taylor Ham and Cheese sandwich is lacking. You need to order double meat, at extra cost, to offset the meat to bread ratio. This is a money grab over quality and authentic northeast food. read more
