Picked up a bakers dozen and the quality of the bagels were extremely disappointing as well as the customer service. Bagels are much smaller in size. Bagels were doughy - not cooked thoroughly!!! Everything bagels had all most no toppings. Cinnamon brunch bagels were beyond thin. Customer service attitude was terrible. God forbid they have to slice the bagels for the customer. They do not have boxes anymore for the bagels. They just shoved all the different bagels together in a bag. I will never ever come back to Panera's and waste my time and, more importantly, my money. Girl on drive through said one second and it took 10 minutes clearly she forgot. Then waited even more time in line. This place always takes forever. This location needs a complete overhauling of leadership. For a manager "Ashley" to be derogatory towards a sick 5 year old is absolutely unheard of. When I approached the the drive-thru to place my order, Ashley addressed me by stating, "What do you want to order," without any greeting, acknowledgment, or basic professional courtesy. There was no "hello," no welcome, and no effort to engage respectfully. This interaction was abrupt, dismissive, and inconsistent with the standards expected of a manager representing your brand. Due to this behavior, I entered the store to request to speak with a manager--at which point Ashley identified herself as the manager on duty. I calmly and clearly requested the contact information for someone above her (owner, district manager, or corporate leadership) so that I could formally report ongoing and repeated customer service issues at this location. I explicitly stated that my intent was escalation for corrective purposes, not confrontation. Ashley refused to provide any leadership or escalation information, walked away from me mid-conversation, and instead returned with a re-printed receipt belonging to another customer, handed it to me, and stated that this was all she would provide. This action was inappropriate, evasive, and demonstrated a lack of accountability expected of store leadership. She had additional choice words at which point she addressed me as "a pet name" to which I responded - I t's Dr. Davis. I identified myself as Dr. Davis, yet Ashley deliberately failed to address me appropriately thereafter. More troubling, during this interaction, she used a derogatory and inappropriate term toward my 5 yr old daughter who just left urgent care from across the street. I instructed my child to return beverages she was holding. This conduct was wholly unacceptable, unprofessional, and crossed a clear boundary--particularly from a manager interacting with a family and a child. This incident reflects a serious breakdown in leadership standards, customer service training, and escalation protocol. If this conduct is representative of management culture at this location, it will materially damage customer retention and brand reputation in the Pearland market. I unfortunately will never patronize Panera Bread. All of this attitude was with a customer who came in the store 7 months pregnant woman craving a sandwich - with a sick 5 year old - simply wanting soup to comfort her cold. When my husband went inside to correct this they told him they can't take the closed chip bag back because he "touched" it and made him pay over $7 for the mac & cheese. It never fails...again! Pearland Pkwy Panera has done it again. So one of the soups I ordered was wrong. On the receipt is correct but got wrong soup. I ordered Autumn squash soup and they gave me chicken noodle. Their service has gone down so much that I personally don't order from there for me anymore . Food: The food is acceptable - not overly fancy or anything extraordinary- but reliable and healthy. I did like their caffeine lemonade drink which I've never had before ! They do have refillable drink and coffee stations, as well as water. Seating: There's plenty of tables and a few booths. All seating seems to be about 2-4 people, though tables may be able to be moved together Ambiance: It's a relatively clean restaurant with basic ambiance. Great casual lunch or meeting place. I think it may have wifi since several people were working on computers. Bathroom: The bathrooms are kind of dingy. The toilet paper wasn't in the roll holders and one of the stall locks was partially broken. You could also see all the dust build up on the ceiling fans and stall edges which is off putting. They do have a handicap stall in the women's restroom. Parking: They're at the edge of a shopping center but their lot seems small for their space. I have been to the Panera a few times, I found that their portions have drastically became less and the flavor not as good. I ordered the two to go, roast beef on ciabatta and a cup of cheddar cheese soup. I picked it up and when I got home, there was barely any meat on the bread, and they have given me black bean soup instead of what I had ordered. I called the manager the next day, told her the situation, and she told me she would put my name down For me to come by and get another order whenever I wanted to. Well, the food was edible so I'll give them 2 stars for that. It just sucked that I had to grill my "grilled" cheese sandwich myself when I got home. It's weird because the cheese was browned a bit but not the bread. Also the cheese wasn't as melted as I would've liked. Also weird since the cheese was browned. I always wondered why their reviews are so awful and why no one is ever in the drive thru line. Typically they do an alright job but I guess what I experienced tonight might be more of the norm for most. They haven't turned me away just yet, however. The vibes here are pretty good, and this is one of me and my friend's favorite place to go study in the Pearland area. It's pretty quiet and not too crowded, which I like. The inside is very cute and it's also great for just catching up with a friend or 2. I like the little fireplaces that they have inside to give it more of a cozy vibe. I usually like getting the you-pick-two and get the cheese&broccoli soup and half of the frontega chicken sandwich. It also comes with a side of either chips or an apple. I normally get the chips because they're so crispy and good haha. Whenever I study here, I like to get their iced tea. They have multiple options of different iced teas that are self-serve that you can get. Their bagels here are also pretty good too! My friend and I get their everything bagel and I get the bagel with the cheese on it. Don't forget to get the cream cheese too! I would say that this place is a little bit on the pricier end though, for how much of a portion you get of food. I will admit that I do not usually get super full from what I get, but I also don't want to break the bank to fill myself up. I usually leave here just satisfied. read more

The food looks great, I ordered a big meal so we can eat leftovers tomorrow. I placed my order with the cashier, Timi. After I ordered, It cost 57.91! I received what I thought was all my food, and asked if I could leave my food on the counter so my child could go to the restroom. We came back, (no one did anything to our food) and once back I saw my small salad and asked, "Where's the rest of the salad at?" The manager replied, "We use portion sizes now to save money." I didn't make an argument and simply went home to eat. I realized my kid's grilled cheese sandwich wasn't there. I angrily called Panera Bread and it answered in a different location. They finally answered the door after about 30 seconds. I explained that my sandwich was missing and that I needed dinner for my hungry child. She said ok, and she started to work on the sandwich. They don't follow directions and put things on your food which have been sitting on their dirty food prep counter (salad dressing containers for example). Cross contamination is a mystery to these people. On the rare occasion that someone asks, "what do you get at Panera Bread?"... I reply: "Food poisoning" I contacted the manager at this location about their unsafe practices and he told me that corporate policy only requires them to wipe down their food prep counters when they are "visibly soiled". I will never eat at a Panera Bread ever again. They have class action lawsuits against them over food poisoning deaths. read more
