We go to this Panera a lot. However, the other day I tried the delivery service and was extremely disappointed. The order took over 90 min for an order of 2 adults, 2 kids. My sons grilled cheese was half of a COLD cheese sandwich, my salad lettuce looked old and the soup was luke warm. I will say their take out service is decent but do not recommend delivery unless you want cold food. Not the quality I expect from Panera. Update: Dining in service is very good. Great customer service and food. Def a vast improvement from the delivery I received previously. The manager is on point. read more

Terrible first time delivery experience. Called around 8:20pm to ask about the possibility of delivery right here in Plainsboro. Did this because their website wasn't working for this option (acknowledged by the store rep). Was told that we needed to get our order in by 9pm. I called back at 8:34pm to place our order and was now told It was too late to order for delivery - that it had to be in before 8:30pm. What? Every response from this different representative was a canned corporate response and I was told that I could order something for tomorrow. Uh, no. There are so many courteous delivery options here. I've really enjoyed other Paneras throughout NJ and I've always been pleased with the food and the service. This was a crummy intro to the Panera Bread nearby. Not happy. read more

I'm a big Panera fan but this one is to be avoided! I ordered breakfast to stay and was served on a filthy platter. When I went to the counter for a replacement, the woman had to search through a stack to find one that at least looked clean. After I ate, I visited the restroom and it was disgusting! Visited the new Panera in Plainsboro. We ordered the mac and cheese and the turkey sandwich. The mac and cheese was ok, but nothing special. The turkey sandwich was disappointing, as the turkey appeared to be previously frozen, just thawed and very watery. The baked goods looked very good. There are many food choices in Plainsboro and Panera, which can be pricey, will need to bring their "A" game. read more

I usually like Panera Bread, but this location is bad! I had to open yelp account, so I could leave the review, I have never done that before. Today I ordered Rapid pick-up. I asked for customized salad, asked to add sesame seeds, avocado ($1 extra) and remove mozzarella cheese. For some reason they did not forget to remove mozzarella, but forgot to add both sesame seeds and avocado. I asked for lemon juice, instead they put two disgusting looking lemons on the side. All the screens to order food on the first table were out of order. Waited to place order online. While waiting for my order, observed waitress playing with her ponytail. Very glad she wasn't serving my food. Somehow my order didn't come out but that happens. They thought someone else took it and made me another 1/2 sandwich and salad. Cobb salad was great. Bread was in pieces so it was impossible to hold it together to eat. I've been to several other Panera's and won't hesitate to go back to them. Not returning to this one. I've gotten better sandwiches out of a vending machine. The sandwich seemed like it came out of a freezer. Are they pre-made?? The Cuban sandwich had a tooth-like bone in it. Kids grilled cheese sandwich - $5.28. Half cup soup, cookie, and scone - $17.35. Delivery - $3.00 plus $2.50 tip. Time spent calling Panera and the delivery guy, telling him where to go - 9 minutes. Delivery - 1 hour plus the 15 min (!) the delivery guy stood in the lobby, "looking for my office" and ignoring phone calls. How long it took to discover I'd been given only 1/2 of a grilled cheese sandwich - 3 minutes. Customer service chat wait time - 3.5 minutes. Second try - 2 minutes. Time it took the customer service rep to tell me they'd "give me a discount on my next purchase. How does that sound? :-)" (so I can go back there, be overcharged, underfed, and subjected to idiocy again to get back money for the things they screwed up this time? No thanks) OR that I should call Panera again, ask them to bring the other half of the sandwich, wait another hour fifteen, pay for delivery and tip the guy again. No refund, no discount - 23 minutes. read more

"Panera to you" in Plainsboro. Visited on a Saturday, early afternoon. They need to do better. I ordered the Asian salad with chicken. Definitely the worst salad I've had in my life. I have gotten better salads from McDonald's and Burger King. The lettuce were wilted and old. I think it was actually iceberg, which I can't tell you the last time I've had a salad with iceberg lettuce in it. I bought a chocolate chip cookie in the bag, thinking it was a safe choice, since I saw a small bug flying around the pastries in the showcase. Wrong! There was a hair in the bag. I took it back to the counter and they were very happy to exchange it for another cookie. Well, that cookie also had a hair in the bag. Needless to say, I got a refund. Also, needless to say, I will not return to that location. The management and customer service are probably the best thing there, but it would be nice if the food was on par, too. read more

What can I say about Panera? Panera is the most dependable restaurant. It is more dependable than most family and friends. They are always there when I need a warm fuzzy feeling deep inside. I literally cannot say anything bad about it. The soup is the tears of joy that God rains down on the earth. The salad is the foliage of the gates of eden. The sandwiches and paninis are good enough for the pope and the disciples. Panera was included in the Bible I think. One of the ten commandments states thou shalt dine at Panera. I can't even get started on the dessert. The scones and cookies and brownies and danishes wow! The smoothies are out of this galaxy. It makes you feel like you're the healthiest person on earth despite the fact that the dressing is probably pure fat and the soups are probably a jar of salt mixed with water. The taste is A+ and I always feel super skinny after eating it. I always order at least 5 things at once which cancels that out but I still feel healthy anyway. It's one of those fast food places that make you feel like it's not fast food because there's kale in it. Omg love it. I can't rave enough. Panera is like that one true love of your life that you never want to lose because it makes your mouth and heart and body feel so good. I love you. Go there y'all read more

Exciting that this "to-go" Panera opened, because the area really needs more places to sit with a coffee. I haven't tried the meals, but the croissant pastry was passable and hazelnut coffee is quite good for $2. Given it's Plainsboro, four stars for comfortable seating, decent coffee and free wifi. read more

This without a doubt is the WORST Panera bread I have ever been to. I never get my order correctly and they promise to credit me my order but never do. This time they didn't give me my yogurt and substituted in a cookie - how does a cookie translate from a yogurt!! I tried calling three times and got hung up on each time!! When I finally got someone on the phone, they told me they couldn't credit me and I would have to come to the store with my BANK STATEMENT!! To get my $25 credit! WTH!!! 5 STARS FOR RAYMOND!! I've only read about this kind of unbelivable customer service in textbooks.. but I never personally experienced service like I did today -- which is what prompted me to write this review. Today I got home after a long day of work and was excited to eat my meal that I just picked up thru the rapid pick-up option in the app and noticed the dressing and extra bread I paid for was not in the bag. I called up (normally I am the type to not call).. but this time I wanted to make sure the manager knew.. the manager who answered was Raymond and he quickly tracked my order and immediately took care of things.. he comped the order. He then asked if I lived close.. ( which I did) and he said he was going to send out someone to bring me the dressing and the piece of bread .. I was already shocked by this. Then John ( the nicest delivery man ...ever!! ) quickly arrived with my order and said Raymond wanted to make sure I was happy and he redid my entire order PLUS a whole loaf of bread and 2 bakery treats! I am so insulted! I placed a catering order for my office at 9:40 am. The order came out to $186.68. At 11:00 I get an email saying my order was cancelled. Luckily I saw the email. I called the store to tell them I did not cancel my order. And I was told that all orders had been cancelled by them because they had a big order for $1,000.00 that they had to fill today. The food is consistent and of high quality like any other Panera however this particular outlet consistently misses something or the other in the order while packing for a pick-up order. It has happened enough number of time that I can say with confidence that it is less accident and more intention to save money by not fulfilling the entire order. read more

Great choice for catering! Had to cater a work event and this spot is the "catering hub" for all Panera's in the area. Put in a last minute order online, but spoke to someone on the phone as my order needed to be ready before the next available pickup time online. They were very friendly and helpful despite my rush, and they had everything bagged up and ready to go for us in individual boxes right on time. It was a hit! read more

I Usually like Panera foods, although overpriced. I stopped to get a sandwich using the drive thru. I chose a classic grilled cheese. It was the worst grilled cheese I have ever had. We ordered online and the delivery time was 12.46pm and they delivered at 1pm which was fine but then we realized they didn't deliver whole order and skipped few items and so we had to wait another 50mins for our order to arrive. read more

Was sooo looking forward to the opening of Panera's in Plainsboro. Too bad it's not the Panera's you would expect. It's VERY slow. Have never placed an order and received it in less than 20 minutes and I no longer go and this is not during the "lunch hour". Lots of talking between staff and not much working. Since there is no table service, if you go at noon the pickup area overflows into the ordering area and it is difficult to get in and out. You can sit after you pick up your order, but until the kitchen moves the food out, everyone is stuck in one very small area. Servings are way smaller than at other Panera's and no one will stop by your table to see if everything is ok or offer to clear it for you like other Panera's. The trash bins usually need to be emptied and there are often several napkins on the patio pavers. I usually love Panera's but this is one to avoid. Go to one of the other two locations that are within a few miles. read more
