Finally, a Panera in Plainsboro! The "town center" and area at large has been thirsting for more places to just grab some food and sit down. This Panera is conveniently located right at the corner of Schalks Crossing and Scudders Mill, with parking at the back and a good amount of space inside to sit inside Right when you come in, there are kiosks for placing your order. But if you're like me and want a friendly face, you can also order at the counter. The staff are friendly and the service rather speedy. The food is predictably standard and is all packed to go even if you're staying in, which I guess is part of their whole "to go" system. It's brightly lit and there are outlets around, making for a decent place to work. The air runs a bit cold, though, so we didn't end up lingering too long. read more

I came to this panera for dinner after an intense workout at the gym. This panera is relatively smaller than other paneras, but I think the majority of its customers order delivery from home. I ordered at one of the tablets, and it was quick and efficient. After the order was placed I went to sit down. The place overall was very clean and filled up with people quickly after I sat down. The staff quickly brought out my order. There is minimal interaction with the staff, because you order electronically. I ordered the fuji chicken salad, and it was lacking in white balsamic dressing and halfway through my bowl I realized that they didn't add the blue cheese crumbles. It still didn't take away from how good the salad was, but I was a little dissapointed. I am willing to go to try this panera again. read more

The fact that somebody signs off on "checking" the order is a joke; I think they only check to see that you've gotten something vaguely resembling what you ordered (e.g. I ordered a salad with no meat, and their Thai chili dressing and what I got was a chicken Caesar salad, and once my friend ordered a turkey sandwich that was delivered missing the turkey). Stopped into Panera's this morning before the long drive up to Cambridge, MA. We wanted a lite bite and coffee. I ordered a bagel with light veggie spread and coffee; my son, a cheese danish. The space is efficiently laid out, with room to sit, plug in and work and converse. Service was young and pleasant. I wish the cashier had explained to me that a bagel with veggie cream cheese to go would translate as a sliced bagel, small container of cream cheese and a plastic knife. If she had, I would not have had to pull to the side of the road and construct my breakfast on my lap. Just a tad awkward and messy. Still it was a good bagel and the coffee was decent, too. Both fresh, textured and tasty. It kept us going until we reached the Massachusetts line. read more

As a daily customer I feel many of the reviews have been totally unfair. The Express format has limited table seating but counter seats are always free and there's a large patio for outdoor dining in good weather. The soup and sandwich menu is the best of the chain genre I know though obviously not organic health food.They are sometimes short staffed like many other cafes, but the manager are some of the friendliest and most efficient I've known locally. Try to visit off peak for the best experience. read more

Panera Bread is very convenient because it is near the library. My friend and I like to go study at the library and come over to Panera Bread for lunch. The food is very good, but it is a little on the pricey side and it takes a very long time, but overall delicious. I really enjoy eating soups and sandwiches on a Saturday. The reason why I give this particular Panera Bread 2 stars is because one time I found a hair in my chicken panini. My friend and I asked the staff to remake the sandwich. As I waited I ate my soup, which I would normally enjoy eating with my sandwich, but they were taking a really long time with remaking it. When it finally came, I finished the soup and I see the plate with the sandwich on it. It has an apple, compared to the baguette side that I asked for, and the sandwich. The lady then asks me, "would you like a pastry for 99 cents?" At that point, I was pretty mad at the staff. They mess up my sandwich, take a really long time, and unlike most places would give you a refund or a pastry for your troubles, they ask me if I want one for 99 cents. Probably the dirtiest panera ive been to. The touch screens for ordering had a layer of dirt. All the furniture is falling apart and ripped. My food took awhile to come out and they forgot some of my order. The cashier was not using gloves when handling orders and food after touching cash. There was a hair in my meal so i got up and left. I was super pumped when I saw that Panera was joining the Plainsboro Village strip mall! I've already been a number of times, and I can't get enough of the French onion soup! This location is to-go/delivery, but there are still several tables for people to sit and eat. If you want to dine in though, there are no trays/plates/etc. You still get the to-go bag with all your food in boxes/cups and plastic utensils. So that was new. There have been a couple instances where things were missing from my order, so I'd strongly encourage checking that everything's in the bag. They're usually really busy, so I can see how things can be missed. read more

How can this place still be open. Every time I give them a shot I get rewarded with just poor or extremely slow service. I've gone so far as to reach out to corporate because of their consistent failures. I am in no way blaming the average employee but the management. Their service has been so poor that I'd rather drive to one further away. So, today's little adventure, I just left the dog park and stopped by. Made an online order, gave my cars description and waited. I checked in as being "here" which obviously means nothing to this location. I only ordered 2 smoothies. They never came out. The morning shift at this Panera is terrible! I order to-go here a lot and the order is correct maybe 50% of the time. It's especially terrible when you ordered a scrambled egg sandwich and bite into it on your morning commute only to get runny egg yolk down the front of your shirt! They need to hire a designated quality checker or something because I don't think any other fast food place has these problems so often. read more

This particular Panera delivery service did not have an availability to deliver a corporate catering order that was placed at 11:20am until 1:45pm. I even called as I was placing the order to let them know that we would need it earlier than the first available time of 1:45pm. First, they made me renter the order and I had to get a cancellation on one. It is just really inconvenient as this is not the first time that this has happened. Multiple. I hope to see improvement in availabilities for delivery and more proper phone etiquette. read more

I like this location. The employees are very attentative, helpful, and nice. There is outdoor seating available in the warmer months which offers more space. I would not suggest coming here during the 12pm lunch rush as it does get quite crowded. They do have rapid pick up though and delivery to the surrounding area so, that's basically what I do. I watched the older woman behind the counter help a customer then she stood there.staring into space while my order sat on the counter waiting to be finished ad placed on the shelf for me to pick up, But she stared into space I stood up from the bench I was sitting on waiting for my order. My name had been removed from the ready for pick up board but the employee starred into space. I moved over to the pick up shelve and then she said are you being helped?
