Came here to try the highly rated falafel - it did not disappoint. Staff at the front were super friendly and accommodating. I tried the falafel sandwich (4/5), falafel plate (4/5), and seasoned fries with garlic sauce (5/5). The interior seating is spacious and comfortable.

The food at Mamoun was tasty and flavorful. I got a classic east side pita and mint lemonade. Both hit the spot. It is great for a quick meal. They had self serve kiosks to order and someone to call your order out, so not much to say for service. Inside was clean and had plenty of seats. High and low top. Would be a great lunch spot if you were working or shopping in the area.

Previously enjoyed visits to the original NYC location multiple times. This location is great in the lively downtown Princeton area. Lovely well-maintained space with nice decor. Lots of seating. Order via user-friendly kiosks at the counter. Food was ready in about 5-10 minutes. Food was great...I had a platter with falafel, lamb, rice, grape leaves and hummus. Also had some baklava for dessert...also great. Very satisfying meal. Prices were reasonable given the amount of food you get. Staff were very friendly and efficient. Metered street parking in the nearby surrounding streets.

excited to try this veggie friendly spot for falafels

Great food, great service! They accidently sent me the wrong order and within a few minutes they made it right by sending a new order + extra to make it right. Great customer service! I'll be back again. Thank you to the manager for making it right :)

I'm torn between rating this a 3 or 4. It depends on what you're looking for. It's a 4 for those looking for a no frills, budget friendly eatery directly across from Princeton University. The food is fresh and speedy. They have plenty of tables to sit at. All were clean and the atmosphere is fun. Middle Eastern music played in the background and fun photos splashed the walls. What has me torn on the rating is I couldn't easily customize my meal. I wanted the tahini sauce on the side but there wasn't an option to request that. Everything was done via Kiosk in the front. I wasn't fond of the tahini sauce either; it was a bit bitter. As a aside, I ordered extra chicken on my sandwich and would recommend that because for me, it was just enough.

Won't eat here again, they accept EatStreet.Com Online ordering for pick-up orders (not delivery)…read morethat overcharge customers through massively inflated menu price mark-ups. I ordered a chicken and lamb kabob and Baba Ganoush and thought it was a family size meal based on the price, which was $62 plus I added an $8 tip. It wasn't even enough for two people. The Eat Street online website charged a 1.49 service fee but that didn't include the massive markup on each menu item they took somewhere between 4-and 8 dollars per item. When I showed the restaurant server the mark-up (there was no manager available) she confirmed this online ordering service was marking up each meal item. Efe's is aware of this online ordering service (according to Eat Street's Website and terms of service, every merchant must execute an order form for services with Eat Street). The only other comment from the server was that I hoped I enjoyed the meal, even though I was fleeced by paying inflated menu prices (and resulting taxes and tip) by over $21 for a restaurant pick up take-out order using this online EatStreet.Com ordering pick-up website that Efe's appears to be under contract with. If manager responds they are getting rid of EatStreet.com and/or the marked up commissions for in the EatStreet website will consider updating my current 1 star rating.

I was a bit doubtful about what to expect from the place . Susan was managing the front of the house and welcomed us with a smile . Handed us the menu and told us we had to order at the counter . We had planned on a takeout but decided done in as it was not very crowded. We ordered a Falafel sandwich , Stuffed grape leaves and were very pleased with how good both were . The grape leaves with the rice was well seasoned and delightful . The sandwich was warm on a soft toasted pita which had good amount of tahina sauce , mixed greens tomatoes and falafels made from fava beans , which tasted quite different from the typical chickpea falafel . Given the food was on a high note we had to try their desserts . We picked up 2 different Baklavas to go . Pistachio and Walnut tahina . My O My , it was a juicy, lip smacking sweet treat . Not only was the color / presentation top notch, but the taste nicely complimented the meat. In addition to our wraps, we opted for the falafel bites. There are 4 generous pieces with a nice portion of hummus in the middle. The spicy sauce has quite the kick! We enjoyed an authentic Turkish lime iced tea drink. Loved selecting from the imported drinks- gives it a foreign and fun feel. My favorite was the ambiance and Turkish music. The booths are set in chic cages and it feels like you have more privacy. The servers also bring the meal to your table- added plus for a mall food establishment. My only critique is the price. It is reasonable, but I expected a larger portion for the price charged. If it was a buck or two cheaper, I think the size of the wrap would match the cost. Because of this, I'd rank it a 4.5 / 5 stars. Overall, wonderful spot. Highly recommend!

The place was nearly empty, which is…read moreeither a warning sign or a blessing, depending on your outlook and your tolerance for gastrointestinal risk. I ordered from a kiosk. It was quick, efficient, and mercifully free of small talk. A machine that doesn't pretend to care about your day is, in many ways, the most honest companion while still lacking the dismissiveness of the Gen Z stare. My sandwich arrived at the table shortly after, delivered by a human who didn't linger. We understood each other. I had the Pink Sultan. Chicken, mixed greens, red cabbage, pickles, and a sauce the color of a polite sunset. I read that the sauce involves beets, which explains both the color palette and the faint suggestion that I was eating something that once grew in dirt and had ambitions. The sandwich was good. Not life changing, not tragic. The chicken was tender enough, the vegetables crisp, the flavors balanced in a way that suggested someone had made decisions and stuck with them. I drank a bottle of Turkish Uludag soda, which tasted like citrus with a hint of optimism. It whispered, "I'm like Fanta, but regional AND foreign, which of course makes me better." The place itself is clean and modern, with that fast casual confidence that says we take our ingredients seriously but not ourselves. They make a point of using fresh components and well seasoned meats that rotate slowly on a spit, absorbing flavor as time passes, much like the rest of us. Everything I ate was pretty good. That is not faint praise. In a world where many meals are often either regrettable or unforgettable, pretty good is a kind of victory. Four stars. The kiosk asked nothing of me, and the food delivered something in return.
