Nobody is at the counter taking orders anymore. It's only iPads that you put your order in on and pay at the kiosk. Which I don't necessarily mind, but some people might. Food is always really good. Only thing I have negative is that the tables and floors weren't very clean at all. I don't see them really cleaning the eating area very much. Wow. What a sad decline for this place. It used to be a great gathering place for a healthy lunch. Now it's a dump with absolutely laughable menu prices. I stopped for a soup and salad lunch, but the employee said they didn't have 2 of the soups I asked for, so I said just give me the full size Green Goddess salad. For reference I'm and 5'4" and 125 pounds and don't have a big appetite. I was shocked when I saw the small size of the salad. It's the exact same container Walmart uses for it's $3.99 and $4.99 deli salads which are good and fresh. This locations price was $14.79 plus tax, so the total came to over $15. I was stunned. Does Panera realize what's available at other local restaurants for that price? Even Outback has a three course $14.99 option. You're losing, Panera. Ordered a to go order for two people. Waited 18 minutes. Picked it up and drove 25 minutes home. One sandwich was missing. Called the restaurant and the franchise owner answered. He sympathized with my situation, and told me the restaurant was closed and he was simply going over receipts for the day. He checked my receipt and acknowledged that it did look like the sandwich had been omitted. He took my name and address, promising to send me a coupon for a free sandwich. I said that would be fine. Then I asked him why my receipt had a statement on it that the sandwich was verified as included in the bag. He informed me that such a printed receipt was just a formality and no one actually is required to check the bag before that is checke. I told him that as a business owner myself, that practice seemed to. be managerially irresponsible. He hung up on me and never sent me the coupon. Terrible customer service resolution!! Absolutely filthy. While getting my drink I accidentally slid the ring around the counter hole to put waste in. It revealed a ring of dried filth. The bathroom floor has several rolls of toilet paper on it that seemed to have been pulled from the dispenser and dragged out into the dining room. The cup I was given was sticky. Not sure why the low reviews for this Panera. Stopped by here today to use my Sip Club membership. My boyfriend usually gets a Diet Pepsi, no ice, and I get one of those for him or a mango lemonade for myself. We were able to order at the self-serve station and then you actually go to the drink area to get your cups, so it's kind of on the honor system. We also used my parents' Sip Club accounts to get two lemonades for friends who we are staying with this weekend. The bathroom did have kind of a weird smell but overall it was clean. This was quite a large Panera, and it looks to either be new or recently remodeled. The parking situation isn't great. Once the few spots on the side fill up, you have to cross traffic (from people entering the shopping plaza or the Panera drive-thru) to get inside. Once inside, there are way too many different ways to order- you can order online on your phone, you can order on the touchscreens they have inside, you can order from your table, or you can stand in line and order with a person at the register. We stopped in for a late lunch, and despite missing the lunch rush, it was a little chaotic. We ordered on the touch screen since it was much quicker. We noticed some people who ordered via the touch screen took the buzzers, while others did not. Our touchscreen didn't mention anything about the buzzers so we left them. The process flow from here on out wasn't any better. The window where they were making food was so backed up. They were calling names (that you couldn't even hear because of how loud it was), and the plates of food sitting on the counter were preventing them from putting out new plates. Some people were getting text messages that their food was ready. Some people were getting buzzers. Some people were getting their name yelled out. It wasn't great. After 35 minutes we had our food. We both ordered the same thing, so we figured it couldn't possible take THAT long to get the two out. Food was good. Typical Panera fare. I definitely wouldn't come back here if I was in a hurry. I think this might just be the slowest Panera I've been to. read more

The spicy chicken sandwich was surprisingly good. The fried pickle chips gave it a boost of flavor. As someone who has a medium spice level tolerance, I feel like their definitely could have been way more kick to the sandwich. Definitely should dip the whole patty in the sauce and toss it instead of one squirt of Buffalo sauce. The teriyaki bowl was very tasty but once again it could of had a little more teriyaki sauce. We placed an online order for 25 people, two days in advance. 3/4 of our was ready on time, but the last portion took 45 minutes!!! The employees in the kitchen made excuses and said they couldn't do anything about it, their computer system kept bumping our order to the bottom of the list as other customers came in. So, they just ignored us and made theirs as they came in. We were not offered any sort of a discount (of course we had already paid) and by the time we got the last of our meals, we were 45 minutes behind schedule. Do better, Panera. read more

They need to hire competent workers! The person struggled to operate the register. It took over 10 more minutes to get our toasted bagels. When we received the one it was burnt. We took it back up and she said that is the way the toaster does it. We asked why the other one was ok?; That question confused her. We went back to the pick up window and the replaced the bagel. Obviously, it was operator error, not the machine. Finally, it took almost 20 minutes to get my coffee! Unacceptable! On top of that; the lady could not find my loyalty number in the system so I did not get credit for this terrible order. read more

Excellent as usual with Panera. I ordered the pick two, berry salad and the broccoli cheese soup. It was served hot and pretty quick for after church on Sunday. The employees were very nice and efficient and offered good suggestions. I would have given it a five-star but the kiosks were all down. So that made a longer line than usual but it's Sunday. It's been really sad to watch this Panera go so far downhill from when it was in the other location. Every time I stop into this Panera for a cup of coffee there's nobody at the front counter, the drive-thru is closed 4/5 times I have come recently even though it's the middle of the day, the bathrooms are gross and they're out of everything. The last time I went in just to grab my iced coffee (which I pay the subscription for) there were no lids or straws on the counter and the coffee was empty. I waited right in front of several managers for assistance and was blatantly looked past as if I wasn't standing there. All in all it took me nearly 20 minutes to grab a drink. Insanity! I keep coming back because it's our local Panera and I know it takes time to work out these kinks and with the labor shortage it's harder, but at some point something should be getting better, right? read more

We wanted a quick grab and ended up waiting over an hour for our order. Their drive through was closed at the time and i walked-in, ordered through the kiosk, and i didnt get a receipt, a name, or a buzzer... I waited in line to ask the cashier what i should do, and she wasnt able to help me. She suggested that I walk into another line and ask them what i should do (the kitchen pickup line). So did so and after a long wait, the gentleman was able to help me. So now i'm waiting for my food which was promised to be ready in 45mins (i wish they told me before i ordered through the kiosk). So in the pictures that you see here. You'll just noticed the establishment and a blueberry muffin that I got. I however also got a half-and-half meal. So instead of afternoon for a soup I got mac & cheese. And for the sandwich I got a club which was OK. Unfortunately the mac & cheese that I had had remnants of meats in it. I just asked for straight Mac & cheese. I'm not sure what happened. But, as someone was an allergy, cross-contamination is a high red flag for me. Nothing I have a meat allergy or anything like that but, if I were trying to avoid certain meet due to religious reasons or etc. That wouldn't of been a great find in the mac & cheese. To this day I don't know what type of meat was in it. And we're too far away from the Panera to point it out. So I just tossed it, because I'm not sure if these particular chunks were seasoned. And there are some seasonings I am allergic too. That would've been an awful day for me if I didn't look. please double check your food. read more

Came for breakfast got a sandwich and bagel at 6:30 am service and greeter was respectful and nice. Got food in 5 minutes. Everyone was pleasant; however, drive thru was closed. They had two chairs out front to block. Also it appeared floor was not swept or wiped down the tray area and some tables at the rear near exit where food pick was. You could see a few pieces of material on floor that a quick sweep would pick up. Garbage top was dirty and could tell no one wiped area down. People greeted well and said hello they were nice. Food was good and would give those 4 stars. Need to do a cleaning should not be unkept first thing in the morning when there have been no customers. read more

Something needs to be done with this Panera management wise. There are obvious decisions being made that the customers aren't happy with. The way I see things is management is in control of everything right down to people waiting on their customers. Yesterday 11/10/23, I walked in around 9 am to the place being cleaned out of breakfast breads. Mainly, bagels, but others included. You need to tell your customers who buy in high volume that they need to place their orders in advance. People around me were disgusted that there were no bagels left and were walking out. The woman that I've encountered a lot of mornings running the cash register needs more training. She moves slower than a snail and you have unhappy customers with that. This morning, I walked into more unhappy customers who walked out of your restaurant. The service was slow and they were tired of waiting. Again, half of your bagels were gone. At least some were still there. Management needs to get control of this place. You're losing a lot of customers. read more

Placed an order at 10:37 AM today for a 12:00 PM pick up. I received an email stating it would be ready at 11:41 AM. I punched out from work at 11:50 and arrived at Panera at 11:58 to find that not only was my order not ready, but that there were 6 orders ahead of me waiting to be filled in addition to the regular patrons ordering up front. I didn't receive an email telling me of the delay until 12:02, which was worthless. By the time I received my food 15 minutes later, I barely made it back to work in time to clock in. I wasn't able to actually eat my food until after my work day was over. If I had been notified in a meaningful way, I could have taken lunch later and actually had time to eat. The Westnedge Panera has become a very frustrating JOKE. They continue to advertise being open until 9:00 p.m.-yet, for the FOURTH CONSECUTIVE time (in the past 3 weeks) when I visited last night, they had closed early (7:00) because of a "staffing" problem, according to the now-familiar sign posted on their door! The most recent time that this happened (to me) was only 4 days earlier, on May 7th. I patronize many of the restaurants on Westnedge Ave. and have NEVER had this happen anywhere else, much less FOUR times in-a-row! To add insult to injury, a young female employee came out to the parking lot, and made an insulting remark to those of us (customers) who were discussing our mutual frustrations over this becoming a regular occurrence at this particular Panera. I felt most sorry for the elderly couple-she using a cane, he holding her hand in his to steady her, and carrying her purse in his other hand, who slowly walked up to the door only to find it locked, 2 hours before "closing time," turned around in disappointment, and slowly walked back to their car. Absolutely NO excuse for this irresponsible way to conduct business-I'll be filing a complaint with the Panera Corporate office, as well. read more

I don't go here often, because it's just too expensive for what you get. and I don't mind paying a little more for good quality. I hadn't been to this Panera in a while, and got a coupon from them for $10 off to try to entice me to return. Sounds good. So I drive there to use the drive-thru on this rainy Saturday morning, and when I pull up to the ordering sign, they tell me they can't take any payments at the drive thru today. (So why don't you block off the drive-thru as you already do so often?) Unfortunately there's no way to exit the drive thru lane, until you go around the building, and of course, there's someone waiting at the pick-up window. (paid ahead? I don't know) I waited a good five minutes just to be able to go around the building, so I could go inside. Once inside, I waited behind a couple who stared at the menu for a seemingly interminable time, only to have them eventually step to the side and decide to order at a kiosk instead of at the counter. The clerk who clearly saw me the whole time, then allowed another couple who had just walked through the door and cut in front of me to walk in front of me and order. She didn't even acknowledge me. I had intended to order a breakfast sandwich and a souffle, but noted the one souffle that was left was shriveled and burnt. Certainly not the quality I would expect when a premium price is charged. Visited this new location for the first time and was very disappointed. Walked in and every table was full of dirty dishes. The bathroom was dirty with no TP in any stall. The Pepsi was out (no sign) But worst of all was the unfriendly staff that made you feel like you were putting them out by being there. read more
