    the outside of a restaurant

Panera Bread is a familiar chain of restaurants for me. While I really have never considered them a good spot for lunch, I'm a frequent visitor to one of their branches in the morning for breakfast. My go-to at a Panera Bread is usually one of their bagels with cream cheese. Growing up in New Jersey, I am an extreme fan of the breakfast wonder of a bagel with cream cheese. Are the bagels at Panera Bread every bit as good as the bagels in the New Jersey and New York area? Not even close. However, to paraphrase Dorothy from the classic movie "The Wizard of Oz," I am not in New Jersey (riffing off of her line "I have a feeling we are not in Kansas.") and if I want a bagel, I have to choose a bagel shop that the area has. Panera Bread does not have terrible bagels, but they're decent enough to satiate the urge for a bagel and a bagel here is significantly better priced can an airplane flight back to New Jersey. This particular Panera Bread also has a drive-thru, which is pretty cool. The staff was friendly and I was in and out in a relatively quick amount of time. Panera Bread does maintain a decent level of consistency throughout their stores and I really have not had an issue ever at any of their locations. Well not the best bagels, they are pretty good and pretty good is the best that I'm going to get outside of New York and New Jersey with the exception of a few isolated bagel shops and there were none around here that I known of so he never bred it was and it did the job.

Hair is in my poppy seed salad! GROSS!! Also, the strawberries look old & some of the lettuce was brown. I'm so pissed off!! Beware!!

I bought a poppy seed salad today from Panera and found a gray/blonde long strand of hair in it. I was so pissed because I was hungry. I spoke to the manager she apologized and offered me another salad which I declined. She gave me my money back. Do better Panera!!

First time I came to Panera for breakfast...it was disappointing. The cashier was rude and kept cutting us off while we were ordering instead of just listening to what we wanted. She got our order wrong, but we didn't feel like taking it back up. We ended up with a plain bagel and two sausage, egg, cheese on brioche. The egg was like a thick, flavorless, cold patty. I don't know what kind of sausage they use but it was also gross. Only the bagel was actually good. I guess I will only come here for the macaroni and bagels, but never again for breakfast

My son and I went to Panera this evening. He got a full Chicken Frontega sandwich and a broccoli cheddar soup. I got the half and half with a steak and white cheddar sandwich and broccoli cheddar soup. Our total was over $28. This is my sandwich- literally 3 or 4 inches long. Very expensive, and very disappointed.

I almost chipped a tooth on a piece of their bread. Food was over priced. Definitely not worth the money.

Rather thin and rubbery. I requested it with Grilled onions and mushrooms I got a mound of Mush gravy spread over the steak (spread because it was a failed attempt at a Gravy). With raw onions in it. The menus were faintly printed in small script font the seating arrangement is a bit overcrowded as well. We had to move our TABLE for a gentleman in another party to sit at his table. We felt intruded throughout the remainder of our dinner. Their conversation was literally ours. 243 South definitely has the vision of the assignment to bring the next level dining experience to a small town. I encourage them to keep trying perhaps pay more attention to the customer comforts rather than the Bougie dispositions. and get your cooks lessons. C+

There is an area that is the wine bar, serving wine by the glass, or bottle, a nice place to meet your friends after work and share a charcuterie board. Although they have several salad choices to which you can add your choice of protein, I opted for the Chicken Milanese, because I was hungrier than usual. It was delicious. And our server refilled our half and half tea several times, juggling the two pitchers. Thank you!!

We were served promptly and enjoyed every bite! The garden salad was big and fresh. His pizza was crisp and hot and loaded with 5 meats and lots of cheese. People around here insist on shredded but you can order a 'Build Your Own' with fresh mozzarella." That young lady deserves a raise. I don't know her salary, but trust me you should pay her more because she is fantastic at her job and is the reason for four stars instead of three. She kept smiles on the faces of everyone with a great sense of humor. As for the restaurant, it's a nice pizzeria with cool pictures on the wall and even a Ms. Pac-Man game in the corner. They have two tables on the patio outside but plenty of seating inside. We ordered the Build Your Own Pizza but basically made it a Margherita pizza with fresh mozzarella to go. Got to try and keep it somewhat authentic. We had a few beers on the patio and Ashleigh came by one time with samples of a chocolate shake that has some stout beer and round chocolate cookie cereal pieces on top. It was delicious. Unfortunately, our pizza had to be reheated by the time we got back to my sister's house. It was ok but it's not fair to rate it since it wasn't fresh from the oven. Crust was halfway decent. I'd try them again for sure but I'd eat at the restaurant next time.

She realized we were new, walked us to the counter, and patiently guided us through the entire menu, including the soups and desserts. Her hospitality really set the tone for the meal! We tried a variety of flavors and sides, and honestly, everything hit the mark: Both the Fruity Fran and Classic Carol on croissants were fresh and delicious. The Chicken Tortilla Soup and Pasta Salad were great, but the Mac & Cheese stole the show--it was incredibly creamy and had that "homemade" feel. The Grape Salad was a winner, and you can't beat the complimentary cookie with that signature buttercream frosting. They have cake looks amazing.b Whatever you do, get the Freshly Brewed Peach Tea. It was easily the highlight of the meal! Sommer even checked back on us to explain the app and the survey. Even though I missed out on my double points this time (lesson learned!), the service and quality convinced us. We are already excited to come back and work our way through the rest of the menu!
