Rundown Location. We got there 20 minutes before they closed and they may just leave the restaurant even though we had 20 minutes before they close. Horrible customer service.. Stopped by the drive thru at Schlotzsky's on Saturday 6/27/2026 around noon. I ordered a Chicken and avocado flat bread as I usually do. It didn't look or taste as good as it usually does, but I made the mistake of eating it anyway. Sick, sick, sick is all I can say...Saturday and Sunday. I did not eat anything before or after so I know what made me sick. They also need someone at the window that can understand and speak good English. Sorry...but customers get tired of repeating themselves over and over. I'm done...never again! read more

Went for a quick lunch and got just that. Just a solid meal at a decent price. The person who took our order wasn't super friendly, but that's fine. The restaurant was clean and has two TVs that were tuned to sports, no sound, but hard to see during daytime glare. Needs music or something to break up silence. read more

Since time is of the essence quick easy meals is what I look for when we are driving. Today I was thinking sub then I saw a Schlotzsky's sign. I ordered the Pick Any Two and chose the 1/2 Turkey & Bacon Club sandwich and paired it with the Orchard Salad. The ciabatta bread was super fresh and melted with each bite. The side salad was a good size portion and came with an adequate amount of toppings. My man ordered the 10" Meaty Pizza reg. pizza crust. Could have prob. had a few extra toppings, but freshly made so no complaints. He ate it. I'd say very clean restaurant, friendly staff, quick service and would def. stop here again in Montgomery if we are looking for a lite bite to eat. Nice to know Schlotzsky's is still around seeing as though I haven't dined at one in over 20 years prob. read more

Okay I love me some Schlotzsky's. So, when I get the chance I definitely partake in some roasted turkey on sourdough. There are only 2 locations left in the state of Alabama and the Mobile area is not one of them! The sourdough bread is so delicious and toasted to perfection then piled high with roasted turkey, mayo, lettuce and tomato. You can tell the turkey is fresh and cut right then and not out of a bag. My husband got the turkey club which was basically the same as mine but had bacon and cheese. He found it full of flavor. We went on a Sunday afternoon after church had let out, so it was pretty busy. The manager and staff did not let that bother them. They got our sandwiches to us quickly and they were friendly. This restaurant appears to be under new management and is quickly stepping up to becoming a dominate sandwich shop in the area. I'm a lifelong Schlotzsky's fan, and I've eaten at restaurants that were "okay", but this was was stellar! The service was quick, our meal was perfect, and the staff/owners were amazing. In fact, we commented several times about how much we enjoyed our meal, and how much better it was than the store we often visit in New Mexico. If I lived here, this would be one of my local haunts. read more

This is the main place I go for lunch when I travel to Montgomery for business. Primarily because I really like Schlotzsky's and don't have one near home or office anymore. I rarely have any wait to order and food is always brought to the table promptly. Staff is friendly and restaurant is cleaner than most of similar type. I been eating schlotsky's since I was a kid and my go-to sandwich has always been the Texas Schlotzsky. However every time I order it outside of Texas, the staff doesn't know what's on it.... UNTIL TODAY! When I ordered the Texas Schlotzsky, I proceeded to explain what was on it but the lady taking my order listed all of the ingredients before I could finish. She told me she's been working there for years so she knew about many sandwiches that weren't on the menu. This literally made my day! Great good + great staff = happy customer! read more

we went to Schlotzsky's for the first time today and I wish we had done this earlier. Loved the food, my husband and I shared the veggie sandwich and veggie pizza. We could say they were freshly made. The pizza base had a beautiful crust and it was not overwhelmingly filled with cheese. While taking the order, the owner wanted to know if we wanted to make it Indian. We were intrigued and ended up finely surprised. If you want a spicy fix, go for it. I work 5 minutes away and allow myself and budget one fast food lunch a week and 9 times out of 10 I pick Schlotzsky's on Carmichael Road in Montgomery. I get the Medium Original or the Turkey Original Sandwich, jalapeno chips and a sweet tea. It is worth the $12 price. I can eat half of the sandwich one day and the other half the next. The owners and staff are very friendly and I never have to wait long in the drive thru. Everything is fresh and hot. One day the drive thru speaker was broken and the owner or his son came out and took orders. They know what it takes to run a successful sandwich shop. read more

Not so pleased. My previous trip to this location was less than satisfying. Ordered a large sandwich and it was around $11. The sandwich was some new veggie selection and sounded pretty good. When I got it, I was sad to see that several of the toppings advertised didn't make it to my sandwich. Furthermore what did land on my bun was mostly lettuce and very little of anything else. Second trip was tonight. Drive thru guy didn't know how to operate his headset and was obviously talking to other people while I was attempting to order. Repeating myself, he finally took my order. After sitting behind a line of cars over 10 minutes....... Not one car moved. No one was getting their orders at the window. I left without my food and won't be back. read more

My wife and I have ate here numerous times over the years. Food has always been fine, exactly what I would expect. However, the men's room is nasty. There are urine stains all over the walls, the plumbing fixtures are rusted from urine, the floor hadn't been cleaned in days by the look (and smell ) of it. No Schlotzsky's near home so it seemed like a good idea. Possibly the worst sub sandwich ever. Went with Turkey club. No sub dressing available...guy didnt even know what I was asking. Bun is two thick and soft. Thought I was getting actual grilled sourdough bread. Processed turkey was horrible! Bacon also "fake" tasting and undercooked. Came in at 4 pm to meet some friends. Only a few people in the building at that time. The table I was sitting at was sticky, so I asked the manager to clean it. The back staff is great, in that the food is top notch. It's hard to find better drive through food than this. Slight crisp on the outside of the bun and warm and soft in the center. Everything I've ordered has been great. The front staff, however, leaves something to be desired. A combination of what I imagine is a poor quality drive-thru microphone and generally unhappy cashiers creates a negative experience at the speaker. A lot of yelling, order misidentification, and "huh?" preceded my drive up. I imagine the speakers and mic are more to blame than the staff, as even the kindest of people would be put off by having to work for hours at a drive thru where all you hear of customers through the speaker is a freakish rendition of the teacher from Charlie Brown. read more

Sitting here in the restaurant, there are Lotz of tables and chairs. Almost all of them need cleaning. when I sat down, I picked "the cleanest one" (not a clean one). The food is always good. I had the Original meal. The service was ok, minus a smile. But hey, it's about the food. As long as it's still good, I'll come back. read more
