They also have a very nice Pick 2 deal if you want some variety (choose any two half portions of any soup, sandwich, or salad). -Free WiFi. I usually love Panera but not this location. They always run out of things (such as strawberries for their summer salad) and when asked about it, the cashier gives a nasty, sarcastic response saying that they "ran out of strawberries" that is completely uncalled for. The management is a failure because as the manager, they're supposed to make sure that they don't run out of things, otherwise it's technically false advertisement. This is the third time I went to order that salad and each time, they claimed they didn't have any strawberries. They have nasty, incompetent people working there. I love this Panera location. I don't know how the ratings look so bad. I've also ordered here during the pandemic and my order is always correct. Today was no different. We ordered a tuna salad sandwich and a Fuji apple salad. The Fuji Apple salad was customized with pickled onions, arugula and extra dressing. The salad is so perfect. It's crunchy, sweet and tangy! I've been to this location twice. And I regret both times! I ordered a Cobb salad the first time, and the chicken in it was iced cold. They don't even bother to heat up the chicken. This is based on their mobile app service. Incredibly fast. My order was already at the pickup area even before the scheduled time. Literally was in and out in half a min. Did not have to deal with anyone. It wasn't packed inside around early evening but still had plenty of customers for such a rainy day. The chocolate croissant was delicious. Buttery, flaky, and had a lot of gooey chocolate that puts A.B.P.'s to shame! A.B.P.s uses lower quality chocolate in comparison. I ate half of each one. This location has gone downhill is a very short amount of time. It's alright if you want to dine in, because if there's a problem with the order, you can fix it there. But I usually order delivery. I ordered my usual. A half each of the Chipotle Chicken Avocado Melt and the Green Goddess Cobb Salad with Chicken. Got a side cup of the Low-fat Vegetarian Garden Vegetable Soup with Pesto. They mentioned that they ran out of the Green Goddess dressing. I was fine with that, even though that dressing is amazing. They substituted Balsamic. I get my food, hop on the bus and start to dig in at home. One of the main ingredients in both the salad and sandwich is avocado. Now, what was missing in both items?? AVOCADO. I was so annoyed. If they didn't have avocado, why not let me know so I can pick something else??? Not just jip me like that! Or at least take the price down because a main ingredient is missing from both and I'm sure a good majority of the price for each has to do with the avocado. Ugh. The sandwich was so pathetic. But this morning the person who took the order was exceptionally attentive and provided great service but when it came to picking up the order from the back the lady was so rude in giving my order. She kept ignoring my order request for Iced tea with cane sugar and she kept huffing and puffing even though everything is written on what I want. She forgot to sweeten my cappuccino and lied that she did. This location of Panera is a fraudulent front designed for wasting people's time and perhaps also scamming and defrauding them, and also harassing and injuring people with jaw joint problems. Just today, I pointed out an item on their display board I wanted to order that was $8.59, perhaps without tax. I attempted to order it several times and each time the ugly Panera scammer behind the counter when I entered attempted to get me to pay for extra things I did not want, tried to get me to order it differently when I refused to pay for extra items, and then repeatedly demanded I pay for items I did not order and did not want, before a different scammer revealed that it was all a scam: the item written on their menu as being $8.59 will never be sold to anyone they view as a mark for that cost. It's designed solely to bring people in the door where they relentlessly try to gaslight anyone present into thinking they are in fact buying multiple items and should pay more. It so happens I've become a stalwart fan of the Panera Bread chain. Initially, I couldn't give them any credit because I was a Subways loyalist (I know, embarrassing!), but after many trips to this particular Panera, and one, midtown Manhattan location, I've since seen the light. Overall, the chain is classy without feeling too self-important, it is sort of like Starbucks for sandwiches and eat-in meals. I like that they are usually always busy here but the food comes out with nary a wait. I absolutely adore their "Big Kid Grilled Cheese" sandwich which is simple but so very good (especially due to the bits of crisp bacon melted in with the gooey cheese all for good measure). They have a green iced tea drink which is super refreshing and tasty, and even their pastries look amazing though I'm always too full after my sandwich & apple (or chips) and drink, to even try any of them. Their seasonal, Maine-style lobster sandwich is somewhat of a let-down. In the summer, you will see hoards of people order this as they come flying out of the kitchen, and you will most likely feel inclined to taste it yourself. But at nearly $18, it is certainly not worth it.! Though they give you enormous chunks of lobster meat, the flavor is lacking, and the meat itself is a bit on the chewy side. The roll is also not that warm, nor is it buttered enough or at all, if I remember correctly. I've had way too many amazing lobster sandwiches to allow Panera Bread's version to even consider competing for a top brass spot. But other than this, their sandwiches and soups are fabulous! It is the most satisfying soup I have ever had! It's thick and creamy and full of flavor! I have also tried their chipotle chicken and frontega chicken panini and they are both to die for! But I guess that's a good judge of how amazing they are. This is the slowest Panera location I've ever been to. It doesn't matter if you order for pick up or walk in, be prepared to wait for 30+ minutes. The employees all have some sort of attitude and is not helpful. If you ask them a question they'll act like they didn't hear you. Won't come back here ever again. Sometime I order take out and when I open the bag I get a surprise. Today's surprise is that I paid full price for a cup of soup but received half a cup of soup instead. I understand that you can run out of items during evening hours but giving me half a cup of soup when I paid full price is just not right. Their lobster rolls have returned and its deliciously worth it ($15.49 plus tax) I always get more than enough lobster on the rolls, which is what made me love them more than Luke's lobsters. I also tried their new green passion smoothie today, it's not everyone's favorite but it does grow on you slowly with every sip in the heat. :) the blend of Spinach had me suspicious at first but quite decent to my surprise. It's been a while since I've been to Panera, mainly because of their exorbitant price hikes. The food was of quality, the place was cozy, and it all-around made for an enjoyable quick dining experience. But over the years, things went downhill. The quality of their dishes degraded, portions got smaller, and all-around, it felt more like a fast-food joint. But after we heard a new Panera had opened in our neighborhood, we decided to check it out. I ordered the You Pick 2, a Sierra Turkey Sandwich and Steak & Blue Cheese Premium Signature Salad. It took a while for our meals to be prepared. What I got was somewhat unappetizing. It sort of felt like something I could make at home. My Sierra Turkey comprised of a few slices of cold cut smoked turkey breast, some field greens, red onions, and a thin smear of chipotle mayonnaise on a an Asiago Cheese Focaccia. The sandwich was a bit boring and unimpressive in both taste and looks. The Steak & Blue Cheese Premium Signature Salad was a bit of an improvement. Two and a half pieces of thinly deli-sliced and seared top sirloin , romaine, frizzled onions, tomatoes & gorgonzola, all tossed with blue cheese vinaigrette and drizzled with a cabernet reduction. It was tasty and fresh but not what I remember as Panera standards in the pre-signature, one price for all You Pick 2 item days. I don't know if it's just this Panera, but the ingredients just seemed too simple and boring. All dishes seemed to be almost a bit poorly prepared. I know this is a new Panera, so I would expect some enthusiasm for the first couple months, but it's as if the staff have already given up. If this is the new business methods that Panera is going to continue to follow, I am truly disappointed that what was once such a gem, is now as generic as the fast-food joint next door.
