Took my sister there for lunch yesterday. She ordered a turkey sandwich and chips and dill pickle. I had the Mediterranean sandwich and chips and dill pickle. The cashier was a young man and was very friendly and nice but he did not give me a receipt or tell me how I would receive my food. I had to ask him and then he told me they would call out my name. Waited about 10 minutes which isn't bad and got the sandwiches. Went to the table and my sister notice she did not get the pickle. I went up to the chefs and ask them for a pickle since they did not include it with my sisters turkey sandwich., The guy gave me a very dirty look and threw two pieces of pickle in a cup and handed it to be!! Horrible since it was his mistake!! There was a very nice lady cleaning tables and we asked for a bag for leftovers and she brought us over two boxes for our half sandwiches and two bags and she was wonderful!! I give her 5 stars!!! This review is about the food, which was disappointing. The service here is consistently good (except for attention to detail in this situation,) they are always cheerful and attentive at this restaurant. My issue is my order was wrong, and what I got was not great. I ordered a Bacon Turkey Bravo full sandwich at the register. What I got was mostly greasy bread with less than a bite of bacon per sandwich half, several drippy tomatoes and a smear of cheese. I was confused eating it, searching for anything other than bread and tomatoes in this mess, wondering what a girl has to do to get a bite of turkey, bacon, or cheese. Looked at my receipt, turns out what the guy actually put in was a Bacon Tomato Grilled Cheese. Which honestly would have been fine, except, again, there was one small smear of cheese goop and maybe one or two small chunks of diced bacon per sandwich half, leaving me feeling disappointed and still hungry. Customer service is great here. Friendly and efficient. My order was wrong and the clerk went above and beyond to remedy it. 3. Pricing is good and affordable. 4. Atmosphere is nice and clean. Penera Renton Landing Disappointed! It was about 5pm on Saturday my daughter asked to go to Penera to eat. As we order our meal my daughter ordered a Caesar salad they said they were out of Romain lettuce they can't make it, as she looked over the menu to find something else I ordered a soup.... sorry sir we just ran out.... at 5 pm they only had 3 soups available I said ok I'll order the other soup sorry sir we ran out of that as well.... ok they wee down to one soup. I go to order the sandwich and I was told that they were out of one of the ingredients but the could sub something else. My daughter said that she really just wanted a salad. And that could we eat somewhere else I said sure thing... she then asked if we could get a couple of candy cookies to go... again they were out.... 5 pm on a Saturday with four more hours to operate their business missing many ingredients.... somebody fell short on doing there stock food order! They really didn't seam to care so I'm guessing it must happened a lot? We eat at Penera a lot and will give it a try again. We have run into this before here being out of a few minor things but today they really failed! If I was the franchisee I would be Embarrassed. This location happens to be my neighborhood Panera Bread and I absolutely love every time I come here. The service is phenomenal. I find that the staff always greets me with a warm hello and is eager to help me order. Their salads have to be my favorite dishes. You will find that their menu offers hearty and healthy selections when it comes to soup, sandwiches, and salads. It's the perfect place to come for lunch in my opinion. You have an option of placing your order online and coming to pick it up ready to go so that you don't have to wait. When I used to work in Bellevue it was one of my favorite alternative. Panera bread = deliciousness. This is my favorite place at The Landing; it is quick, convenient and the food is great. I suggest this as more of a lunch place, as it mostly is soups, sandwiches and salads; not very filling for a dinner entree, in my opinion. I always get the You Pick Two - ALWAYS the Chicken Caesar Salad, and then I will alternate between the soups, sandwiches and panini's (is that how you make panini plural? haha sorry, I'm tired). With the Chicken Caesar Salad, it kinda depends on the person making it as to how good it will be; sometimes they hook it up on the chicken, sometimes you get barely any. Sometimes its drenched, like really really drenched, in dressing, other times there is barely any. The sandwiches tends to remain the same quality, which is really good. I love the Smoked Turkey Sandwich. Soup wise I get the Chicken Noodle, sometimes it is very salty, but normally is fantastic. Watch out for the lunch rush, the line can tend to go out the door. You can pre-order online and pick up in store. The cashiers/service here is usually pretty fast, and everyone is friendly. SO extremely slow!! I ordered a cup of chicken noodle with a slice of bread.. The customer who ordered a few minutes after me got her food before I did! She ordered a full meal, a cookie, and a smoothie.. Don't ask, I don't know how that works either! The slice of baguette bread that was given had a HUGE piece missing. Not so much the breads fault due to how it was baked, but the staff who cut it should've spotted it and quality control (if any exists there) should've NOT let that piece out! I reached in for my to go cup of chicken noodle and the lid was loose (I drove it all the way back to work, too!) and the bag and napkins got all wet! To top it off, the cup was full of broth!! I'm SURE I ordered CHICKEN NOODLE soup and not just broth.. Such a huge disappointment! I also love their fudge brownies and cinnamon rolls. My coworkers all love the coffee here, especially the hazel nut. There are a few sandwich shops in the Landing, but Panera adds more variety, albeit overpriced variety, and "healthier" options, but sandwiches and paninis are tiny with maybe a couple slices of deli meat, you get nearly all bread. There is usually more meat in their salads than sandwiches. Even their salads are but a handful of chopped lettuce plus a few toppings and an overload of dressing. The taste itself is usually better than most other places around, but there isn't much quality there, and little quantity either. I feel like I'm paying for other people to sit around all day on Panera's WiFi. I do like their bakery items, especially their bagels. Wasted $3 on a latte once. They have messed up my order almost every time, either wrong meats, missing an extra, wrong extra, girl taking my order doesn't listen well and I can't understand her, and that is why I prefer online ordering where I can visually verify what I am ordering, and that would be very helpful in-store as well. Why do I come here? I ask myself after every visit. I still don't know, maybe I just need something a little less covered in cheese or grease than I'd get elsewhere. Although the Landing restaurants aren't located in convenient parking areas for handicap or elderly people, this one has plenty of street parking nearby. What surprised me was that even though it was 7:00 in the morning, most of the tables had crumbs on them and looked like they hadn't been really wiped down from the night before. I noticed the carpet had a fair number of crumbs as well. I ordered the avocado, egg white and spinach brioche, which looked pretty but fell apart as I ate it. No fork was provided, and while I suppose I could have gone searching for one, I just used my fingers. The ingredients were fresh, but just a bit on the bland side. Over the last few months I have gone to Panera Bread at the Renton Landing location about 5 times. I always order their BBQ Chicken Flatbread, with no cheese due to dietary restrictions. However, it always comes out with a load of melted cheese on it. I am always very understanding, and kindly send it back. But it has reached a point where a basic request has been overlooked numerous times and I would enjoy being able to not cause friends and family to wait even longer for my order to be fixed. Being fixed not always once but sometimes multiple times in one sitting For example, the last time I went to Panera, I was with a friend. I went through the normal routine once we got our food of asking if they could please remake it, because they accidentally put cheese on it. All should have been well; it comes back out with no cheese. However they forgot both the BQQ sauce and the spinach. In front of me I have a pita with meat and onions, lacking 1/2 of the toppings. I am in hopes that in the future the staff will be able to accommodate no cheese or any basic request a customer may have due to allergens or any reason, and correctly put everything else on the flatbread as well. When it's made as ordered I find it very delicious, however the process leading up to that, I find quite repetitive and difficult. So if anyone has any restrictions within their diet and needs to have accommodations made to their order. I definitely would not recommend going to Panera, unless you are willing to wait an addition 10 minutes while everyone with you has already received their food. read more

The cashier was present but not overly helpful or customer centric at all. No pleasantries, not even a how can I help you. She was sure to tell me I didn't have a reward in a curt tone which I already knew. So again, just odd service and it was as if she had a bad day, a chip on her shoulder or just didn't want to be there. I ordered a soufflé and she only gave me a fork . I really like Panera. They have their ducks in a row. They offer good food, a wide variety and are quite friendly. My only complaint is the time it takes to place an order and wait for the food. There isn't a great place to camp out while you wait without feeling like you are lurking around the kitchen staff. I suppose they want you to take a seat while you wait, but during a busy lunch crowd I didn't want to use up a table when I knew I would be leaving shortly. The prices are a tad steep as well, and some of the options have horrific nutritional contents that would surprise you.
