Pretty average and standard location. It's in a plaza with many other businesses so by time we arrived here on a Saturday morning at 10am, many of the closer spots were taken. The place wasn't terribly busy when we arrived. It was about 60 percent full and stayed that way throughout our time. As one person left another person came in. Not a ton of time for the staff to just stand around. Even then they were pretty nice and patience and we went back and forth on what we wanted. We ordered the Pumpkin Spice White Chocolate Latte which has pumpkin spice, white chocolate, espresso, and your choice of milk (I went with oat milk). I was disappointed in it. It wasn't terribly pumpkiny and the white chocolate really changed the profile of the drink. We also ordered the Bacon & Egg Croissant for $10 which had scrambled eggs, smoked bacon, cheddar & tomatoes on a flaky croissant. The bacon wasn't crispy which is how I like it and the croissant was flakey but pretty dry. We love the pasta selections, we tried all of it but my favorite is the shrimp scampi linguine and pesto cavatappi and my husband's favorite is the chicken Rosa pasta! The sandwiches are also a must try because of great flavors! The staff is polite and made our visit always enjoyable. The ambience is cozy, brought my mom here and she loved it too! Stopped in for breakfast and for a couple treats for a friend I was meeting up with later. I'm torn between 3 to 4 stars. I've been to this chain before at their Issaquah location. This is the same concept as Panera: Order and pay at the counter and they call out your name when the order is ready. Then grab a table or take it to go. Breakfast bowl was OK, not bad but not good. Portion was on the small side. Chocolate croissant was meh. Friend reported the snickerdoodle was ok but tasted store made. Found out after I was in my car on the highway they had doubled the bakery items! They have a decent menu, breakfast and lunch and a pick two like they have at some of the other places. I opted for a tomato mozzarella sandwich and I really wanted a salad but all the salads were full of chicken and other protein. What I really wanted was just a lettuce and tomato salad which they didn't have. Got the Caesar salad which had way too much dressing and the lettuce had seen better days. The half sandwich was a decent size but could have been warmed up instead of served cold. would have been way better. My friend got half a turkey uptown avocado which was pretty small and a cup of chicken noodle soup, she said it was ok and did not taste home made. when you get the pick two they want to give you a side, should have been fruit but all they had was more starch. so we got a roll to bring home. This I my go to spot for a quick yummy breakfast! Especially with my kids because the prices are great. My food is always delicious, fresh and hot. More importantly my coffee is always good too. The have a kids menu as well. The kids menu items are $5.99 and the portions are perfect amount too. My favorite part about this place is they serve BREAKFAST ALL DAY. They also have plug ins at the TABLES for your computers, etc. That's hard to find because when I had to study for academy it was hard to find nice, quiet, spacious places with plugs in at every table. read more

I'm a regular at a Corner Bakery Cafe in Southern California, and when I saw that there was only one Corner Bakery Cafe location in all of Washington state, I made it a point to stop by, even if it was only for a beverage. It was also really close to the hotel I was staying at. I know it was only a beverage, but with my subpar experience on this visit, I'm not inclined to try any of the eats, especially since I already know what they taste like. I'm a member of their rewards program, and each week, I could get a beverage for 99 cents. I don't necessarily get one every week, but while it was on my account, I figured why not try it here? I went up to the cashier, and she honestly seemed disinterested in being there. Like she would rather have been spending the evening out at the nearby AMC theater with her besties. No smile on her face. No appreciation for my business. And I'm not even sure she made my drink correctly. After about 3 minutes of waiting, she handed me my drink, and I sat at a bar-style table to drink while I was perusing a menu for a nearby restaurant. The drink tasted off to me. Like inconsistent off. I can't exactly remember why, but I believe it was chalkier than what I usually get in SoCal. I went with the Large Hot Chai Latte, which has usually hit the spot for me, but this time, it missed the mark. The taste of the Chai Latte wasn't as strong as what I'm used to. Maybe watered down perhaps? Either way, I wouldn't recommend getting the Chai Latte here. While I was sipping on the Chai Latte, another employee made eye contact with me while I was facing her direction. She asked me if I had a question, and then I decided to test her by asking if this was the only location in Washington state. She didn't actually know, but I had read somewhere it was. When I looked at their website, I did indeed see that this is the only Corner Bakery Cafe in Washington state. Not that I'm factoring that into my rating, but I just thought I'd throw it out there. Their menu also looked a little more expensive than what I'm used to. A Choose Two, where you choose two smaller-sized entrees for the price of a regular-sized entree, is actually $13.49 here! That's $1.50 more than what I'm used to! And if the lackluster Chai Tea was any indication of the quality of their food, I really can't set high expectations, even for their Chicken Rosa Pasta. I'd be open to trying some pasta or a sandwich there in the future, but as it stands, I'm not inclined to, especially if the service is about as nonexistent as a vending machine. read more

I knew it was a rough visit when I saw multiple tables with stacked dishes and no one attending to the dining room. Our group of three walked in and while the first diner was engaging in with the order taker at the counter, I was reviewing the menu. He wanted to club sandwich minus the cheese since they did not have an alternative cheese he liked. The picture on the menu looks deceiving as it makes the sandwich appear to be prepared with three slices of bread a la traditional club sandwich' He then asked about the cinnamon rolls as to whether they were made today or yesterday, The banter between the two was descending quickly into a hellish fury. Finally, I placed my order and the last diner only had water. All issues aside with the first diner, I was expecting my tomato basil soup to be hot. It was not. That was not the only surprise. When you order a half sandwich, you get two sides. I chose the soup and bakery chips. Bakery chips are simply a bag of preselected chips nothing else. Had I known that Bakery chips = a bag of Lays chips, I would have ordered something else. My tomato and Mozzarella sandwich was okay. It was the best-looking item of all the items that were ordered. The first diner's sandwich had turkey and bacon. It was sadly pathetic. He returned it and was given a tomato or two. ( It did not resemble the stacked sandwich on the menu board ) The cinnamon roll arrived after the first diner had to chase the expeditor. He never said if it was a "WoW" That means it was not. One thing to know about him is if he says a "WoW", he truly means it. All of this resulted in a poor experience to which none of us will return. Easy for me, as I don't live in the area. After we pay, we were given a number and then look for an empty table. The staff delivered our pastries and coffee in a timely manner. I got the chocolate peanut butter bundt cake which I thought was good until it got very sweet at the end. Thank goodness I had coffee on the side to help offset the sweetness. My partner got the banana muffin and thought it was good and not too sweet. Overall, it was a nice place to grab a quick bite.
