Horrible QC, I placed an online order to save time now I wish I had spent the time and made sure my order was right. I placed an order for 2 salads and 4 sandwiches one of which was supposed to be an egg and sausage scramble. I put pictures of what it's supposed to be and what I got. I walked in grabbed my food from their cubicle and left ( I was in a hurry therefore me ordering online). After a 15 minute drive to my destination my daughter finally had the opportunity to sit down and eat and pulls out this crappy sandwich. I'm not from this area and I called the restaurant and was given the stupidest line a restaurant can give a customer. "You are welcome to come back and we will remake it for you " Like I'm really gonna walk back to my car, drive 15 to 20 minutes back, prove they screwed up, wait till they remake my sandwich, and then drive 15-20 minutes back, find parking, and then eat it. Would anyone do that???? Can I get a refund?? No cuz their system doesn't allow for partial refunds which by the way is crap cuz I work in a store and have given a lot of partial refunds!! Paid for extra chips, & avocado on a sandwich had to go back and ask for both! Instead of replacing the sandwich the manager came to the table and put a rubber glove on and carried the sandwich to the kitchen. Panera policy is pretty ridiculous. I handed the cashier a 50 for a bill that was 37 dollars and they informed me they can not accept a bill over 20 dollars. I objected saying that my bill was 37 and it would be equivalent to me having an 8 dollar bill and paying with a 20 which the cashier still refused. I reminded her that on US currency it states that "this note is legal tender for all debts public and private", at which point she informed me she can refuse service to anyone. I was not rude not agrressive or condescedsing in any way, I just made a point which did not warrant such a response by an associate of this company. Horrible handling of the situation by the employee as well as terrible corporate policy and customer complaint management. I will not be returning to this or any panera bread in thr future. Go support small businesses that appreciate our patronage instead of feeding into the corporate rigamarole. read more

I ordered the butternut squash soup and of course some tasty bread to dunk in it and a cup of hot tea. I was pleased at their tea selection. Not just a lipton tea bag but actual choices! That's where the pleasure stopped. My soup was very thick and very sweet. The bread barely absorbed it because it was so thick. I tried a few bites and each one confirmed that it was pretty much inedible. The bread was good but not worth a trip back. read more

Ordered from DoorDash Panera. The bag was left on my porch but was open with two staples on the sides and the bread just thrown inside. Not wrapped or anything. Gross. When I called the manager she said they use staples even though the manager at the one by Target said they aren't supposed to. She said this is the way they do it but it should have been sealed. No. It wasn't sealed. She didn't apologize or anything. Get a new manager Panera. She's rude and isn't a good manager. I always come here for coffee since I have my monthly subscription. Some of the workers are welcoming and warm when you get in. Some doesn't even look at you in the eye even you already carried the empty container of half and half begging for a refill. Oftentimes they ran out of coffee which made me wait for a while, and that's okay however sometimes it'll take sometime to get refills and the coffee corner is dirty with lots of spills and empty sachets of sugar. Guess they're that busy? But I think that would not be an excuse. Panera in N Freeway blvd is much well organized and well managed. I noticed that every now and then they checked the coffee corner to make sure they have coffee available and areas are clean. But this Panera in Del Paso Rd doesn't seem to meet my expectations. However there is this amazing worker named Nora who is exceptional, she's all smile and greeted everyone with a bright smile. I see her around always busy working and she made sure there's always coffee available in the busiest time of the day! When she's not around the whole place seems like a mess, spills on the counters, tables has crumbs and unclean, no table napkins, half and half not filled and the worst part they run out of coffee and have to wait for them to brew. As a coffee lover, waiting to get coffee seems like forever when we really need it. And getting in about to fill your cup and nothing came out from the jug is frustrating! I observed other customers already tapping their foot while waiting and trying to be patient while they wait, it wouldn't be easy when you are running late and can't seem to go without coffee before going to work. Multi tasking is a must in every worker I suppose and also team work to make this business at its best. read more

This Panera is a carbon-copy of every other location, which isn't necessarily a bad thing. If you come to Panera looking for a consistent experience, you'll find that exact same experience at this location. I'm a soup and sandwich kind of guy, even in the summer. As far as chains are concerned, Panera does this classic combo better than almost anywhere, with maybe the exception of La Bou. Broccoli and Cheese with a turkey sandwich is my go-to favorite. Very old-mannish, I know, but there is something extremely comforting about getting something off the menu that you enjoy and is consistently the same. read more

I love Panera bread but I know the food really isn't that great for the price. I mostly come here to study but unfortunately it is getting darker earlier so I can't visit this location as much. There seems to be a lot of questionable people that hang outside here when it's dark, you're constantly approached by beggars inside and outside the place and I honestly feel uncomfortable here. If I have a chance to come here early morning, I'll get a coffee and bagel and I'm impressed. Otherwise I would rather buy a better quality lunch in a nicer area. read more

This is my first time eating at a Panera (I think...) and I was very pleasantly surprised. The word on the street is that its second rate and no good, but the sandwich I ate (Tomato and Mozzarella Panini) was actually very fresh and very good. I'm hovering somewhere in between 2 and 3 stars with this one. In terms of Paneras go, this one isn't quite up there. It's your standard Panera food but I've noticed this location tends to run out of things. It's especially disappointing when you get an email from Panera touting their grilled cheese and tomato soup, get all amped about it, and then realize the store ran out of tomato soup....major buzzkill. What a tease. The lines are always realllllly long in the mornings - if a semi-sort of-regular customer has noticed this, shouldn't whoever is in charge of staffing the place also take note? I sometimes stop by to grab baked goods for my morning work meetings but a lot of the time, they're out of the ones I want like the pastry rings, holiday breads, etc...so I usually default to bagels. There has also been more than one occasion when the coffee dispensers are empty and grinds come out. They're very nice about it and will refill the dispenser but it's pretty annoying (especially if you're not a morning person anyway). read more

I don't get places like this. I've been a couple times and, despite how seemingly popular we're lead to believe they are, the food is not particularly good. My experience today was very disappointing. The cashier was friendly enough but spoke so quietly I thought I was in church. I could not hear her over the mind-numbing din of activity behind the counter. One particular woman was obnoxiously loud. The menu seemed too concise. There was the name of the sandwich "Smokehouse Turkey Panini". The price didn't have a dollar sign or a decimal. Lazy or streamlined? I was just hoping my sandwich wasn't really $799.00. Ya know, the way it's supposed to be written out? At the register there seemed to be a lot of questions for me that did not apply to me. And, a surprising number of questions about my order that needed to be documented. "I want that sandwich and a small diet Coke." Simple enough, huh? But I get choices. Choices I didn't ask for nor do I want. A baguette or salad with my sandwich? No. Do you have a Panera card? No. A pastry for .99? No. Maybe. Just the sandwich and my diet Coke. So these days, a sandwich and a coke is nearly $12 apparently. Once I filled out the loan paperwork she pointed me to the "next counter". I looked to where she was pointing and saw three, no - four, separate counters. In a flash I had a receipt, my cup, a bag (pastry), and my wallet. I felt like one of those clumsy holiday shoppers with my piles of parcels. But, my receipt had decimals, thank goodness for that. I gathered my things and meandered through the halls of the great Panera into a massive traffic jam of equally startled customers. Apparently this was the wait-for-your-order-talk-on-your-cellphone-dump-your-trash-soda-machine-condiment area. In 100 square feet. The soda machine was directly across a narrow path from the garbage cans. Between were a man blowing his nose at the soda machine, another man - an employee - was cleaning up the trash bins, and a yuppy couple was carrying two plates each through said opening... just as I arrived. The narrow path was also the only way to or from the kitchen to the dining room. Plates were being carried OVER MY HEAD. This would have been only better with some circus music playing. Food was ready quickly. I only had to dodge a plate-induced head injury for about 30 seconds. Like magic, or at the command of Murphy's Law, all traffic ceased and I was alone. I looked in my bag and there was a... well, uh...a piece of a baguette laying in the bag on top of what looked like a small cake box. "So when they say 'baguette' it's just a piece of a baguette?" I asked the employee as he wrenched another chunk of bread from a long familiar loaf. "Yep." he said, with a hint of pride. Well then. My lunch and I left. Again, I don't understand places like this. All that ordering paying sandwich-making hoopla and I get....a salty leathery wallet-thin grilled cheese sandwich. Oh, goody. Before I got to my second bite my bread solidified and the crispy crust turned to broken glass before my eyes. It was like chewing a bicycle tire with thumb tacks embedded it. And so, I don't know how to wrap this up. It's corporate food. It's meant to fill you without giving you any self worth. Nailed it. read more

There was an actual dead bug in my soup. Like right there in my soup I'm so mad but at least it was extra seasoning with refreshing crunch in my creamy soup. But all jokes aside there was a literal dead beetle in my soup and I'm never eating here again. They gave me a refund and offered me a free pastry but why would I want to eat any more food from them if they put a dead bug in my other food. read more

I love the rewards card because I always seem to get a free pastry or drink which is a nice incentive to go there for breakfast or lunch. The food is always good. I have come to this Panera several times, usually the music is so loud I can hear people talking loud 2 tables away from me. Today I visited 35 min before closing, I ordered a drink, the cashier didn't ask for my rewards number I had to tell her, she proceeded to poor my drink in a to go cup and I had to tell her that I was drinking it there. She didn't even ask if it was to go or for there. I ordered a pumpkin spice latte which comes with wiping cream and I had to request it. I had to remind her that costumer service ends when the doors close. I don't feel that I received good service and that she was rushing to get out. read more

Breakfast is the best thing at Panera. The ingredients are fresh and the bread makes it the best breakfast sandwich around. The problem I have is with the service and the fact that it is so difficult to make a special order. They don't have a create your own sandwich option here, so you can only take existing menu items and attempt to modify them until they are the way you'd like. And if you do want to customize your sandwich, get ready for an eye-rolling response from whoever is working the register. I get it, because of the setup it's probably very difficult to customize a sandwich, but don't act like it's my fault that I don't like your sauces and that I want a different kind of cheese or bread. Out of Rye before 1p? The Rye is BY FAR my favorite. And nothing else is close. With no other choices close in similarity they really should try to make enough to get to lunch time. If they run out of sourdough, french, country or the others there are close options available, but Rye? Tsk tsk :( Other than that it's up to par with any other Panera I've been to.
