Tuna salad sandwich with tomato soup
    celina t.

I've never dined in at Panera before and found it to be a great experience! Went on a solo self care date alone and was able to grab this value duet for $8 with tax. The location is right next to our local goodwill so it was a great meal prior to shopping. The tuna salad sandwich is always my go to. It is nice and fresh with the veggies inside. The tomato soup was a great pairing to add an extra level up to the meal. I feel that dining in gave me significantly more food than when I order take out. Will for sure drop by again in the future. The ambiance is a cute restaurant with many seating areas.

We came by to grab breakfast after taking our pet to the vet nearby first thing in the morning. It wasn't quite as crowded when we arrived but about 10 minutes later there was a huge rush of people (10-15 deep). The staff member helping us was super patient and made suggestions for some of their freshest items. They had just finished bringing out the breakfast soufflés and she had recommended the four cheese one, and they brought out a pan of cinnamon rolls which my husband could not stop eyeing. I ordered my usual Asiago bagel with chives cream cheese, and a soufflé for us to split. The Asiago bagel was toasted to a nice warm crisp and the chives cream cheese was a great savory cream to help break up the cheesy taste. The four cheese soufflé was like an Effie croissant and it was great for a morning pastry. To drink I got the chocolate cold brew, it tasted like a chocolate milkshake but I sure did get that jolt of energy after finishing it. The only thing to really note, and perhaps it was because they were busy was that the tables were awfully dirty and hadn't been wiped down between usage.

I ordered avocado sandwich . The girl at the cash counter was so nice . She explained me everything very nicely. I was provided with one apple too.,Mango drink was good. I liked furniture and setting too. It's a good place for healthy eating Special thing is that they use fresh dough everyday to make breads. Bread was very soft and wonderful taste. I had a great experience and enjoyed food

I almost feel guilty making a review on a Panera that I rarely go to. I usually go to a Panera that is closer to work, and I absolutely love it there. It allows me to do work with a small coffee. I will do a review at Panera at a later date. The one I went to today actually felt like a different restaurant than the Panera I regularly attend. That's important to keep in mind, not all Paneras are the same! If you are not a fan of one, don't count them all out. I got the Mediterranean chicken greens with grains (without any chicken) and a coffee. It was a simple salad and sufficed for what I needed. Everything was made quick. The other Panera I regularly go to is less busy, and offers a little bit more comfortable seating. However, this Panera is larger and buisier, and the employees are helpful. I got the salad to-go but the interior looked like it would be a pleasant place to sit and eat. I think I am just biased because I am so used to the Panera I typically go to. The salad is a bit pricey (about $14 with the coffee). Overall, the salad tasted great, the coffee was sufficient, and the process was smooth. I'd recommend this Panera for anyone shopping in the area, or need something quick like a salad.

Our family loves Panera! Sign used to say Panera Bread and now only says Panera. Every family member has own preference; son doesn't eat red meat so there are plenty of options. Plenty of parking at Skokie location. I don't necessarily go here in mornings because during breakfast time there was much traffic. Our family favorites: grilled cheese sandwich, butternut squash soup, vegetable soup, turkey w/avocado sandwich. I always love getting the You Pick Two options. Panera is a little pricey and I was hoping in the future they would have a better rewards program, however I'll keep going as they have great in a great atmosphere.

I'm missing two eggs, exercise and a breakfast sandwich

It seems to me that she's a manager or GM. She's more interested in hitting on men and then serving her customers.

Panera for me is a go to. Especially their Chipotle Chicken Sandwich. But today its only soup for me. Its my snack time. I know i know what crazy person would have soup on a hot day like today. Lol. But i couldnt resist. I love love love their Mexican Corn Chowder. I dont have any words which is bad coz i need to write a review on it right. Lol bit its a good kinda speechless. I do love me some Chowder. But i like their mexican twist on it. Also they currently have a Sip Club - Unli Sip on trial until July. It includes all their lemonades and the friendly staff said to mix all 3, an advise i took. And i liked it. So its a mix of Mango Strawberry and Apple lemonade chargers. Definitely worth a try.

Cozy, especially in the winter, like today!

We've carried out items from this location numerous times but have never stayed to dine in.   Today the wife and I stayed and had a relaxing post lunch refreshment of a frozen chocolate cold brew.  It was a nice stop and it was confirmed to me that the inside is just as busy and vibrant as their tight parking lot always is.  Atypically for a Panera, they have a nice cozy working fireplace.  Their space is also long and narrow, and kinda tight quarters for everyone, but also with a lot of people capacity.  I'm sure being across the street from Old Orchard mall helps with their high traffic and popularity, but the area in general is a commercially busy one. Overall, it's the most busy and vibrant Panera I've seen to date in Chicagoland, and with the usual tip-top good quality products.

supposedly a "Green Goddess Caprese Melt"
    Kristina M.

I was excited to have a late dinner when I got home, but to my disappointment this is the "Green Goddess Caprese Melt" I received. I know it was late when I put in the order, and they were kind enough to call and say they didn't have any French baguettes left (which I said was fine at the time). But like...to not even have a smidge of the dressing the sandwich is literally named for? Next time just say you can't make the sandwich period, and I can order something else.

Panera always has consistently good food. I ordered the bacon & egg on a brioche bun. Yummy but left me craving for more. I guess I could have gotten another one but I didn't have time as it started to get busy as the early lunch crowd started filing in.

Like an airport of departures and arrivals.

Our child also really enjoys their "bullet train" transportation system for meat orders which speed down the kitchen conveniently to our table. All other food fare rotates around gradually with clear labels that advise how long to cook certain noodles, vegetables, and assorted ingredients. The restaurant is spacious and feels so even when bustling with high ceilings and adorable glass displays of collectibles. They have a sauce bar with all the necessary accoutrements as well as assorted hot foods and dessert. Speaking of dessert, while they have several to order in the menu as well as boba and other offerings, their seasonal desserts near the sauce bar are awesome. I've had herbal jelly suspended in a milk tea and a strawberry milk variation that were both so refreshing. Perfect palate cleansers. There's a small lot right to the side of the restaurant, some street parking, and parking on the streets nearby (to the back and side). Be careful to read the signage posted to ensure you're in a valid spot.

Love the concept of rotary veggies and ingredients on the conveyor belt, and some meats can come on a train, that looks neat. The good: I chose the herbal chicken and the spicy pickled mustard green soups bases, both soups are great and flavorful, the sauce bar has a great selection to make your own sauce, and the tiger sauce is incredible, (don't miss out on that one), the place is clean and fancy, service was incredible, waitress was checking on us constantly to make sure we are covered. Con: I wished there are more variety on the protein section, some veggies or ingredients are grouped, like carrots and taro, or assorted mushrooms, making it a little annoying if somebody just wanted one ingredient in specific, and the desserts took a little longer than I tough it could. In overall it is great place to dinner and give it s try :)

I'm extremely thankful to have a friend who introduced me to this bagel spot. Definitely a top 2…read morefavorite of mine. I haven't been to the location but have had these bagels consistently for over 10 years. The texture and flavor of the bagel is everything a NY bagel is and should be. Fluffy on the inside, somewhat crispy on the outside, and oh so thiccccccccck! Their cream cheese?! Ugh! Don't skip on it, seriously everything about this place is perfect. If you're expecting this to be interchangeable with the franchised bagel places that have spread…read moreacross the country, recalibrate now. This is not that. I've been going to New York Bagel & Bialy for over 50 years, and places like this operate on a different clock, a different standard, and frankly, a different philosophy of what a bagel is supposed to be. Timing matters. If you show up after about 8:00 AM, your odds of getting bagels at their absolute peak--still warm, properly textured, with that slight resistance on the outside and softness inside--go up significantly. Earlier can be hit or miss depending on the batch cycle, but once they're in stride, this place delivers. The essentials are all here and worth your time: poppy seed, sesame, everything, and especially the bialys. The bialys alone are reason enough to make the trip--properly done, with the right chew and depth of flavor that you simply won't find in mass-produced versions. Don't overcomplicate it. Grab a dozen. On your way home, stop and pick up a couple packages of Philadelphia Cream Cheese and some smoked salmon a jar of capers, a Bermuda onion--whether here or even from Walmart--and you've got a meal that outperforms most brunch menus at a fraction of the cost. This isn't trendy. It's not trying to be. It's something better: consistent, old-world, and still doing it the right way. If you're going to call something a bagel, the standard is not branding--it's process. That's why New York Bagel & Bialy on Touhy stands apart. They actually do it right: kettle-boiled first, then baked in rotating ovens. That single decision--boiling--changes the entire structure. It gelatinizes the outer starch layer, locks in density, and produces that thin, glossy crust with real chew. Without it, you don't have a bagel--you have bread with a hole. The rotating ovens matter too. They deliver even heat, which means you get the correct balance: a slight exterior crisp with a dense, elastic interior. No puffiness. No sponge. No collapse under toppings. That's the difference here. Most chains optimize for speed and shelf life, so they steam or shortcut the process. Many local shops land in the middle. This place doesn't compromise. If you care about what a bagel is supposed to be--not just what it's called--this is the benchmark in Chicago.
