Then, once I noticed it, I didn't go in because I've had mixed experiences with little breweries like this. Eventually, I finally walked through the door, and I'm writing this review to help you not make the same mistake I did . The first thing you notice is how warm and inviting the place is. Wood tables, fun chairs, great music, and plants. So many plants. It feels like an actual neighborhood hangout. Here's the funny part: I can't stand beer. My wife likes it, but my taste buds won't allow it. I'm also a type 2 diabetic, so a lot of the usual brewery food isn't really an option for me. But the first time we came in, I saw things like Caprese Salad, Italian Salad, Smoked Salmon, and other options that actually work for me. And then I discovered they make their own hard seltzers. Game changer! They always have several fun flavors, and they're unsweetened, which is exactly what I'm looking for. You can also get cans to go if you want to bring some home. You can tell the husband and wife owners have put a lot of love into this place. It's comfortable, welcoming, a little quirky, and they've always been incredibly kind. So if you live around here or just driving through, check it out!

I called the place up and arranged to come pick the food up. The person on the phone was very thoughtful in keeping in mind at what time I would arrive so he could arrange for the sandwich to be toasted at the right time. I appreciate small details like that. When I arrived, I noticed there were several tables and a bar where you can essentially get brews and food. I noticed they had several beers on tap which I was very curious about, but unfortunately did not have time to sit down and eat at this establishment. The person at the bar was extremely friendly and made me feel very welcome. The two sandwiches came up to $40ish. I brought the sandwiches home and first tried a few bites of the Fancy Pants Sando. I will have to say it was the better of the two sandwiches. I appreciated the goat cheese in the sandwich and the mix of different ingredients, but it was not something I would consider to be a great sandwich, at least not for me. Others might find it pleasant, but I did not care for it much. The fig sandwich was the one I was more excited about and expected some sweetness to be cut down by the bacon. I don't think it was a perfect balance between the two, and I got a tad much of the overwhelming sweetness of the figs in this sandwich. Again, others might enjoy it, but I didn't care for it. I really wanted to give this place a great review, but unfortunately it did not meet my expectations. The beer looks fun though and might be a good reason to give this place a try, and you may enjoy their sandwiches and many people have. For me, that's a no-go.

The Grain Shed does a farm to table model and is a bakery and brewery. I got a snack here along with a beer and left quite satisfied. I got a Grilled Cheese Sandwich on some of their house made bread with some Cheddar, Swiss and Provolone cheese. The exact name for this sandwich is the Cheesy Toastie. And of course moving on to the beer... the primary motivator to come here. I got the Kölsch beer here called Field Trip. I do love a good Kölsch as they are nice, light bodied beers. And they are especially nice in the summertime. Flavor features in this beer is maltiness, breadiness, a bit of hoppiness and a dry finish. Another beer that Steve and I tried was the INWPA which was a Pale Ale. It was also a nice light bodied beer which again hit the spot despite it being a different drinking session. Flavor characteristics in this beer is citrus, a yeastiness, hoppiness and a biscuity trait. Good beers and sandwiches and we are aiming for a return whenever we are in Spokane again.

This place brought me back to the U district in Philly. First off, they got the bread right, which so many sandwich places in general don't pay attention to. Soft enough with good flavor but durable enough to hold the contents. The steak is cooked right. I love how they think outside the bun and you can get your meal in a rice bowl. Very creative and it tastes pretty good. Everyone is friendly here, and the service is really quick. Place is always very clean whenever I have come in. Unlike many places who try, their self serve ordering touchpad works really well and is easy to navigate. If you want an "authentic" Philly cheese steak, this is the closest you are probably gonna find in all of Spokane. And if you don't give two shits about the dreaded A word, know you will find a great sandwich here.

When they finally started my order, the worker stopped halfway through to chat with what seemed to be a supervisor about his girlfriend's parents and a graduation. I waited 15 more minutes and was late to work again. No apologies and no customer service. Whether I mobile order or go in, I'm waiting a minimum of 15 minutes even if they aren't busy. My partner and I had a wonderful experience here - the service was great, and our dinner was thoroughly enjoyable. The employees were friendly, adding to the overall positive atmosphere. The restaurant not only serves tasty food but also presents it in an attractively arranged manner.
