By far my favorite Panera Bread location and my go to place for any kind of sandwich! I'm seriously fussy about my lunch sandwich and this Panera makes the best. Honestly I see the same workers almost every day I come in there, they're always working their butt off. The food always came out right didn't come the quickest but that doesn't matter. Even though the employees are always super busy, they are always friendly and professional, specially Melida. Very reliable location with what I think is probably very good management. Been ordering here through the online app for over a year now and they've proven to have consistent quality and timing. Almost was 4 stars solely because with a big appetite like mine you will not get a fulfilling meal for under 10$. All very small (but good) portions. I use the Rapid Pick-Up fairly regularly and always have a great experience. Order is always correct and ready at the requested time. I got a cappuccino this morning and literally hadn't taken a sip until I got to work. It felt awfully light so I opened it and I kid you not, it was filled with half foam. HALF. I paid for half of a drink. That's just ridiculous. 2 stars because my breakfast sandwich was not bad. I ordered online to pick up and still had to wait in a line of people ordering. Maybe it's not feasible, but I'd think if your ordering ahead maybe there should be a person readily available when you have pickup orders on your screen. read more

This Panera has really gone down hill. This is the third visit where I left disappointed. The first time I ordered a turkey and cheese sandwich. Well, I got the cheese, but nothing else. I paid extra for a plain cheese sandwich but by the time I got home the store was closed so nothing I could do. The past four visits I've ordered online only to get to the store and find out the baguette is out and no one has given me any other options. After many months of giving this location time to come up to par in terms of service and food quality, enough is enough. Some (not all) of the people here need to learn a thing or two about customer service. I stood there this morning and was not even acknowledged for a good 3 minutes while the girl at the register tapped away -- probably ringing up "to go" orders, but still... tell me "I'll be with you in a moment," don't just completely ignore me. I refuse to order chai tea from them anymore. It comes back tasting like milk only with no tea flavor. I've had many Panera chai teas in my time, and they do not usually taste like this. This location is simply making them wrong. They also have screwed up my soy latte half a dozen times. They give me cow's milk even though I specifically say "soy" and give them time to digest that. I finally started watching them make it and started stepping in when I saw them reach for cow's milk. The straw that "broke the camel's back" for me was messing up my very simple order for the trillionth time. I am on Weight Watchers and have to pre-plan and track my food pretty carefully. I ordered a cinnamon raisin bagel only to get to work this morning and find a cinnamon crunch bagel in my bag instead. (And it wasn't even a good one...there was NO crunch on it at all. I will not return here again. I just returned from running out really fast to grab a cup of soup at this location.The staff is horrific there, managers and all. My boyfriend and I entered, and stood at the register for 5 minutes. We had a plain view of all the staff members prepping food, including a manger. Not a single person acknowledged us standing there for that long, and barely made eye contact. My boyfriend ended up walking out - which was very obvious and I should have followed behind. Not a single staff member there was rushing, acknowledging us,or having a care in the world. I stood there by myself for another two minutes. REALLY! Finally when an individual was able to come to the register it was a normal employee - not even the manager to apologize for the wait.They acted like this was a normal occurence and did not even say a word about it. HORRIBLE SERVICE. I was extremely dissatisfied. Horrible service. I go to Panera frequently but I will not be back to this location. Judging from the reviews already posted and now my experience this afternoon - I think it's time for corporate to step in. The staff members at this location are really hurting the good reputation Panera has. Another side note - the lobster roll is huge. I saw a meme that equated Panera Bread to expensive hospital food. Although the food is reminiscent of hospital food, the staff' terrible bed side manners really brought it home. Where else could you go to treated as if anything the employees does for you is a favor. I really enjoyed walking in Sunday morning with my small child to have someone act curt and rude, I am sorry I asked for one minute to look at the menu. I've had better service at Panera's. This one is typically out of something or they give me the wrong item (out of the apple, chips, bread options - sometimes they don't even ask me!) And most recently, my cashier had a hard time understanding what I was saying -- plain bagel with cream cheese...! The people behind the register act like they just don't care, three of them will be talking behind the pastries while a line forms out the door. Want bread with your soup? Good luck! Three times I have gone for dinner to find them out of bread, and this was around 530/6... Don't even get me started on their espresso drinks, they tried to make me a latte using the coffee base of their frozen drinks!!! Even after he got a manager to help him, the drink was still wrong. My wife and I have been a Panera customer for 10 years with me being a customer at this location as part of a weekly tradition for 2 years. I have always enjoyed coming to this location; they are always courteous and ready to help. I did think that this location needed an upgrade compare to some of the other local Paneras I have been to, and glad to see it happened recently. It's got a very modern look with the updates and feels fresh. The employees always welcome you with a smile, but I love using the self-serving kiosks as well. I like some of the new additions to the menu with Tuscan Chicken sandwich and I hope to see some new additions like this. Panera certainly has a life-long customer with me! read more

This location is great when you order in store. However, their to go service leaves a lot to be desired. We've had orders messed up before but tonight really took the cake. They left out two items and I was unable to get ahold of them by phone. Interesting since the parking lot was completely empty. I would have returned to pick up my missing items curbside but have no desire to go into the restaurant. I'm upset that I've now paid for food that I did not receive. Terrible customer service! Forgot part of my delivery order (smoothie) When I called about the missing smoothie they told me I could come pick it up (whole reason I ordered delivery was because I was swamped at work and couldn't pick up). When told that wasn't an option they said they'd get a driver and have it delivered to me in about an hour. 2 phone calls and over 3 hours later and I finally receive the smoothie ... a nice WARM, soured nasty smoothie that I'm pretty sure was the same one that had been sitting on the counter for a couple hours. My son wanted to go to Panera for a grilled sandwish so we went. When we got there the perdón in front of us told us she's been waiting for 15 minutes, we could see the employees in the kitchen but no one came to the front. When a lady finally came, took the order for the person in front of me, then went to talk to an employee right at the cashier. Another employee came and tried to ask her what to do (guess she was the manager), she didn't seem happy to be interrupted and told her to get my order. She was very polite and apologized, took my order and we went to sit down. While waiting I put an online order for bakery items, from the t things ordered I only got three, but didn't find out until I got home. Nothing stood out at this one as being bad for me...or even sub-par. I called and spoke to him and he apologized numerous times and made my way back to go grab them after driving half hour already. He said he would include a cookie for the inconvenience. Panera Bread in Sterling has messed up my delivery three times in two weeks. First two were minor and I let it go. Today three items missing. Had to drive to the store to get them. Manager basically just gave a weak apology. You pay a delivery fee for bad service. Driver gets a tip, which is okay. Panera is only relying on takeout for revenue. Get it right. Pros: Staff very friendly and professional. Place is clean enough. Never had issues with crowding or waiting that long. I've used their online ordering and phone ordering and it seems they respond to it pretty quickly. Cons: The Cobb salad with avocado is my go to, but I never know what kind I am going to get. Specifically, BACON. The last two times I have ordered this to go, there has been no bacon in it. It sounds ridiculous, but when I get home and it's not there I feel shorted and the whole ride home I am just wondering if my meal will be complete this time. This is not a threat just a statement, but just having that feeling of unreliability is incentive enough for me to look at alternatives. For 99% of people who go there, I am sure that they will be pleased. read more

I got lucky inasmuch as this is the closest Panera to my house. I've been to a couple of other Panera's in Loudoun and Fairfax counties (Northern Virginia), but this one is my favorite. I'll admit that I get "weird" orders. Whenever I order a sandwich, I'm either asking for no tomatoes or adding onion or changing bread type. I've been going once every three weeks for the past three years, and I can only remember one time they made a very minor mistake with my order. (I think they forgot to leave off the tomatoes, but that's easily fixable.) The cashiers are always friendly and the food comes out pretty quick. Granted, they aren't fastest "fast food" restaurant, but the quality and service make up for a short wait. read more

This location is near my house, but I don't think I'll be visiting again anytime in the foreseeable future.I went here yesterday and brought my out of town brother in law, sister and mother with me.We came to get a bite to eat before our lunch later in the afternoon. When we entered, the line and counter area were empty. We all stepped aside to view the menu and decide on our orders.A very rude woman in the bakery section yelled whoever is next I can take your order. We politely informed her we were still deciding, and continued to make sure the line behind us was clear and unblocked for any new customers . My mother wanted to order a quiche. She inquired if the quiches were still available. She was rudely informed by a surly young woman that the quiches were finished for the day. Once my brother in law and sister decided to order, they placed their orders at the register. My brother received his order within 5 minutes. After 15 minutes, my sister asked where her order was.She was informed it was and had been waiting at the other end of the restaurant She was not given a buzzer to alert her of the order being ready and no one called her name or took the time to notify her. She was so disappointed to have to eat cold oatmeal. I am really irritated and upset by the treatment and service provided at this location. I don't think Panera has a poor reputation but this location could certainly help it earn such recognition unless the staff is retrained soon! If you are not a morning person, please don't work Sunday mornings and treat customers rudely. read more

Wow. Went in for a coffee and bagel early in the morning. Place was not busy and there was not a line. Lady at the check out was super rude especially for this early in the morning. I was welcomed in Spanish. I responded and ordered in English which seem to upset the lady.
