I've been to this Panera a few times because I live nearby, but I have no idea what happened to this place. I wanted to try the new Bacon and Tomato Grilled Cheese and it was horrible. $9 for this sandwich and the cheese wasn't even on both sides of the bread and it was rubbery upon arrival. Additionally, my $5 bowl of macaroni was only filled halfway. I don't know if this place has become stingy on ingredients or what, but I won't be coming back. read more

Panera Bread is a haven for many, but more so for the studying student. The ambiance at this Panera is peaceful and warm, with Mozart in the background. I tried the Chipotle Chicken Panini that came with Panera-brand potato chips. The panini was excellent in texture and taste. The black tea washed down everything well. To top off the experience I got a free fruit pastry from my rewards card (it was sweet but delicious). Panera is costly so it's not a place to be everyday. But when gone to sparingly, it most definitely hits the spot. read more

Why is it that whenever I go into a Panera, it seems like all the customers are from Boulder? Type A and/or OCD w/ some yuppie on the side. This one was no different. Small, for a Panera (I liked that). There was even the guy with the headphones and Apple laptop who I see in The People's Republic of Boulder a lot. He recognized me, and reported the siting (hopefully to my fan club and not to Homeland Security). There were 6 other laptop users, mostly women. There were two puzzled, geeky middle-aged iPon users, vapidly gesturing through web pages with detached expressions on their faces. As another reviewer noted, this location has nice afternoon sun on one end of the store. At the other end, near the entrance, is a fireplace. So you can get out of the sun and still be warm and toasty. That's where the iPon users were, possibly to be seen. Like Mc Donalds, you'll get an eminently reproducible meal regardless of which location you go to. The food is good, and the bread, of course, fresh and well made. I had the "pick two" - Sonoma Chicken Soup and Chicken on Cheese Asiago Foccacia. They were good, but I was charged 7.99 instead of the 6.99 on the sign, and was unable to get resolution. Time is money, so I left on a bad note, one dollar shorter; perhaps what they were hoping for. read more

I went in close to closing time to get my dinner after a long day, I ordered a Mac and cheese to go and when I got home *after close* THIS is how much they gave me, less than half a small portion, I don't know why I spent the money on four bites of dinner, and I'm unable to go back tonight, very poor service and an unacceptable amount of food. read more

This is not my favorite Panera location.... Some sandwiches are good, soups look like pre-made. Salads are overpriced... the one I just brought home is basically lettuce with a VERY small amount of other ingredients. I will drive to the other side of the highway and frequent Mad Greens next time I want a salad worthy of my money. read more

This place had Q outdoor seating. And the service was quick. Food was great. I would recommend them again.

The only reason I gave them TWO stars is because the food is decent. However.. THREE times in a row I had a horrible customer service experience while waiting or ordering. The last time resulting in the horrible girl behind the counter making one of my children cry because she was so aggressively rude. The manager was unresponsive and seemed incapable of handling the situation. Which wasn't surprising since I waited an entire minute to even begin my order once reaching the register because the same cashier and manager were arguing about the cash drawer and complaining about another employee right in front of me while I waited patiently. In the end we left with the decision to never go back. Very disappointed as this is a chain that I like... but we'll stick with the Panera on 29th Street. read more

My daughter and I got horrible food poisoning after eating a santa fe salad there on Jan.2.

Very very sloppy here! There was 3 or 4 "Employees" walking around pestering customers during lunch. Took 30 minutes to get our beverages from behind the counter, all the while being asked what can be done to help. Pretty embarrassing to not be able to take action as a manager when there is an obvious problem. read more

FYI: Z is gluten-free (which means she can't eat wheat, rye, or barley) so our reviews are all from the gluten-free perspective. We care about how many gluten-free options the restaurant has and how helpful the staff is in dealing with our concerns. Gluten-Free Options: None of their bread is gluten-free, but several of their soups are gluten-free and most of the salads can be modified. Total From A to Z: 3 Stars A's Review: * * * I wasn't holding my breath for Panera to have much for Z to eat. And they didn't. But what they did have were well-trained staff and a binder that told at a glance what was GF. Some of the soups and most of the salads were fine, which is not half bad from a bakery. Z's Review: * * * Maybe it isn't fair to walk into a bakery and expect to be able to get something gluten-free, but I knew Panera also serves soup and salad (in addition to sandwiches and baked goods), so I thought it was worth a try. When I asked the cashier if any of the soups were gluten-free, I was delighted to find out that she had a list of which ones were and was able to tell me right away. She even apologized for not knowing off the top of her head! Very little value here! Purchased a LARGE mac and cheese take out for $9.32. When I got home the container was just about half full (or should I say half empty). Approx four table spoons for $9.32. Called the manager and he had plenty of excuses for the small quantity, but not the least bit of customer service I would expect from Panera. Chain food. The service is consistent - as in some of the staff is always very good and some of the staff is always very bad. The problem is that the good ones quit. heh. Either way, the food is decent and you can listen to classical music played too loud while you eat. read more

Sadly, tonight was enough to make us not want to return. The food left something to be desired, and the employees made the entire meal unpleasant. Instead of the cozy fireplace and quiet ambience we were expecting, we had no fire and an obnoxious non-stop "gripe fest" between 3 of the employees about an incident with their cars. They were talking SO LOUDLY that we could hear nothing but them! If we hadn't had soup, we would've packed it up and headed out. Not a fun way to end the day. read more

I often get deliveries because of my work schedule. The prices are reasonable and they are always early with their deliveries. The delivery drivers are also very friendly. (Especially Tyler!) I like to customize a lot and they always get the orders spot on. I have also been in the restaurant on occasion and I am pleased with the service and the food in house as well. Great job all around. Now why would you take away some of your signature dishes that have been with you since Panera opened in Louisville forever ago? So sad to say I went in to Panera after a long haitus to find i could only 1 of 2 paninis and had a choice of 3 sandwiches. :( Even your pastry shelves looked depressing. So after ordering a chicken kale panini (which tasted nothing like a panini because you apparently don't use butter to press the panini anymore), a small Mac and cheese (cuz seriously, paying $5 for a cup of pasta and cheese is kinda ridiculous) and a cinnamon roll ( which again you left out the good stuff), I've concluded that this is my last trip to Panera. I love this Panera. They are wonderful to work with. I had a wedding event (2 days in a row) I needed Via Catering service for. They brought my food just as we asked. They actually put peoples names on their meal, so it was easy to pass out. They delivered everything on time and VERY fresh! I also ordered 20 challah breads on a Sunday and they were perfect; soft, fresh, and wonderful tasting. The following day (Monday) I had them cater an event we were hosting for 120 people and they brought a huge display of breakfast foods. Everything came perfect! The quality was wonderful. The souffle were still HOT. Thank you manager Nick for a wonderful job meeting with me and organizing this wonderful event!! Also thank you to all the staff for all your hard work making the food!! Extra feta AND charged for it! This week went to the Superior location and asked if there was cheese in the penne bolognese and the cashier didn't know but suggested that it would state it on the menu. It didn't and yet there WAS cheese put on my meal -ALONG WITH having requested NO tomatoes in my salad, I of course, got tomatoes! Very disappointed! read more
