I honestly don't know how they do it. The sushi chefs at Kyo are performing literal wizardry back…read morethere. Every bite is consistently insane. At one point my mouth was doing things I probably shouldn't describe in a public review. We did order for delivery, which disappointed us because it never showed up. BUT, i called the restaurant and it was ready for pick up. They quickly resolved that i had paid online and i was good to go at pick up. Easy peasy and with a smile. Okay, let's talk food! I will start with, the fish is impossibly fresh, the rolls are balanced perfectly, and every single piece feels like it was crafted with obsessive attention. No throwaway bites. No filler. Just straight-up sushi perfection. Here's the real kicker: we live part-time in Kauai, a place that technically has a slight advantage when it comes to seafood given its proximity to the Pacific Ocean, and Kyo still wins our hearts when it comes to sushi. That's saying something. So if you're looking for perfection in every bite, grab your person and get your ass over to Kyo. You will not be disappointed. Also, how cute are these sushi plates from my mom?! Mahalo Mom!

It's a quaint spot and very unassuming but seriously please do yourself a favor and go to kyo sushi. Best sushi in the area and ive truly tried them all. Prices are also extremely unbeatable. As i was paying i was already writing this review and the servers were so happy they offered me a free thai tea which is so nice! Great food, great prices & great service. Absolutely 10/10

Amazing! Amazing! Amazing! Everything was made fresh so it…read morewas about 15-minute wait but that's ok, I took the opportunity to look around the market. I picked up a few things. We got a medium Falafel sandwich and a Shawarma sandwich. Wow. Delicious. I actually may have liked the Falafel just slightly better but both were excellent. I also got an extra garlic sauce on the side... just love. Until next time.

I feel like I found a favorite near us. It's not one of those places where I would travel to, but…read moreif you're relatively close to Urbana, it's worth a stop. It's a small mart that specializes in middle eastern Mediterranean cuisine and ingredients. They place does not have seating inside, but plenty of seating outside. So plan on either take out or picnicking. They make the food right as you order so things are fresh. The part I really liked about this place was that the sauces were not overly salted - to increase shelf life - and the amount of oil/butter was not overly used to try to mask the ingredients. It's more on the "let the ingredients speak for itself" which I really dig. In the end, you don't feel heavy after the meal and you feel like you had a hearty and healthy meal. My favorite was the lamb shawarma. He toasts the outside pita and it gives it a nice crunch. The lamb is fresher than other places and he doesn't over season it to hide the lamb smell. Other places - if you notice - tends to use cumin a lot of mask the lamb smell. Not here though. The falafel sandwich was okay. It was colder than the lamb shawarma. But the falafels were made right there in front of you. I got the sujuk sandwich too (which is a type of sausage). It was a breakfast burrito basically. Our order took 20 mins to make and he makes it right when you order. So be prepared to stay there and peruse around. Some ingredients there were interesting. The one thing that caught my eye was a bottle of pomegranate molasses. He sells it close to 50% what Harris Teeter would charge and he has various brands of pomegranate molasses. I use pomegranate molasses to make grenadine for cocktails. Also has orange blossom and rose water (also both used for cocktails) I like this place and the guy is nice and sweet.

Definitely a tucked away gem in Urbana! Just outside of downtown Frederick, Mangia E Bevi offers…read moreclassic Italian along with a few fantastic house dishes that will have this girl coming back for more! The crabmeat and shrimp salad is an absolute stand out! Massive chunks of lump crabmeat and huge colossal Shrimps ! Served with a very light vinaigrette. Makes a great main or shared as an appetizer. They also have porcini rice balls and bada bing shrimp, both are delectable and a favorite of the hubs! Their personal 10" pizzas are thin crust and wonderful. We had a prosciutto pizza and the white pizza which was perfectly garlicky Also, don't forget the house made lemon cello sunrise cocktails to go! And order yourself some bread... don't skimp. Get the loaf!

Cute outdoor patio and that could be a nice space. The inside is normally decorated restaurant space. The service wasn't too bad, attentive at first and then she disappeared for 10 min and then took our orders. Afterward she didn't even bother to ask how the food was, if she did I would've told her how disappointed I was with the dish that was recommended as, "oh you can't go wrong with eggplant parm! It's great!" Needless to say that it was an overpriced mush of a dish. There was no texture to the dish. At first sight it looked like a generous helping of food, about 6 pieces of eggplant with spaghetti. However, there was no texture to the deep fried eggplant, no crunch, no flavor, disappointing. Spaghetti was normal, nothing special. The pizza. Not shown, was also disappointing. There's so many other better options close by, prob won't come back.
