It's ok. Serves for a quick lunch. Ordered the 10 vegetable soup with baguette. Spent $6.xx Tastes good, simple and hearty. A handful vegan/plant based options available. But I chose to be simple. During COVID19 review: Pandemic protocol followed were: curbside available, walk in pick available, dine in available. Masks are required. All employees and patrons were masked walking in. Ok to be unmasked to eat. All tables were open. Space yourself out accordingly. 1 employee was diligent in wiping high traffic touch areas. My 2 friends and I ate away from the crowds who were the booths. We sat at the front of the store by the glass. Smaller tables. Better for two people. Service was nice and efficient. Would recommend for a easy bite to eat. Many options that accommodate all.

Stopped in for lunch yesterday around 12. The line was extremely long as there was only one cashier. This was my first time to this location so I'm not sure if that is the exception or the rule. Once we placed our order: two pick 2s with broccoli cheddar, a panini, and the chicken breast/apple/cheddar sandwich, the wait for our food was not long. The soup was fantastic. I also tried a raspberry almond cookie, also very good. I discovered that I do not like cold chicken on a sandwich but everything else about it was awesome. Panera is a bit pricey but I like the options and let's be honest, the bread is ahmazing and they have yummy gluten-free & vegetarian options.

First, I have always liked Panera for the variety of vegetarian options. You can always get a soup, sandwich or a salad here. There seasonal items have vegetarian choices too. That had always made Panera an easy lunch answer. The new broth bowl are great! Lately, it has moved up the list with the rapid pick up ordering and the Panera app. Order from your phone, walk in, pick it up , and walk out (often past the long line of people waiting to order). Even if you are eating there it is a great way to do it. The app is incredibly user friendly and quick. It also keeps track of your loyalty rewards. This store is pretty busy at lunch, but they do move quickly. Like most, you don't have to wait long in line or for your food if you don't order online. But you should!

This particular Panera I have had 3 back to back to back bad experiences that left a bad taste in my mouth. Rude and unprofessional staff, mainly one person who seems to be of the manager personnel (Anthony), even. I have completed a survey or two as it was requested in my e-mail since I have their points card. I have told them about my experiences and have yet to hear anything back. It's close to my work so it's very convenient, however I'll probably give it one more shot and go elsewhere from then on if it hasn't changed from my recent visits. Edit 11-22-16: My recent visits have been better and I haven't seen the aforementioned manager here in quite some time..coincidence? Changed from 2 stars to 4.

It was getting to be dinner time, so asked my wife to meet me here for my last stop. Every time we've stopped here, we have been impressed with the quality of the food and tonight was no different. I had already enjoyed some Happy Hour specials at another venue, but my wife hadn't yet eaten dinner. She ordered the Gyro & Fries (see picture) and as you might guess, I did try a couple of bites. We both thought it was a very good gyro and were delighted to see that it is the daily special each day from 11-2, so we will definitely be coming back for lunch some day. Don't tell him I went without him :) Anyway, I'm glad the wife and I gave it a try. We walked in at 5:30 on a Friday and it was busy. We didn't wait but for a few minutes and had a table. The greeter was very friendly and our server was super nice and pleasant to have as a waiter. His recommendations were spot on. The whole restaurant was hopping busy but operating very smoothly. Not a quiet place, a true sports bar ambiance. The wings were very very good. Maybe some of the better ones I've had here in town. The gyro was fantastic, and huge. Great value. The wife's flatbread was great too. Excellent food all the way around. Prices for very reasonable. Happy hour helps some of the prices for sure, but still a well priced establishment. We are fans of this place and will most certainly be back.

Looking for a place to grab lunch to go and came across Hungry Boyz…read more Decided to try two sandwiches and asked if they could wrap the halves separately. No problem. The Big Kahuna Tuna. Well this fish out of water wasn't a keeper for me. The bread is so soft and phenomenal. There was plenty of Tuna on this Big Kahuna, and I added lettuce, pickles, jalapeños, onion, and black pepper. Banana Peppers on the other half. The flavor just wasn't hitting for me. The tuna is like a paste, not dry, but not moist. The veggies were very light and added no flavor. I am not a fan of a ton of mayo, but this sandwich needs a flavor injection. That bread is seriously awesome and I am curious if the wheat hits the same. Would definitely let this fish go. It felt like a can of tuna on bread with a light mayo. The Lost Boyz - Ham, Salami, Turkey, Pepperoni, and Provolone with salad dressing, lettuce, tomato, oil, red wine vinegar, and oregano. The flavors in this sandwich are really good, excellent flavor. The veggies again were very light and the meat in the middle was perfect, but 2/3rds through and the meat is scarce. I couldn't really even taste the toppings. This sandwich hits, but it's missing like peppers. That oregano should bring some flavor. This place has real potential and the bread is solid. Very soft, good flavor, and holds up excellent. Need equal meat throughout and add some toppings, like "Dear Sammich Maker please don't be scared to add some meat and toppings so I can taste it ". They seem to be skimping IMO and for the price point pickles, peppers, and onions shouldn't be an issue. A half a slice of tomato on a half isn't much or enough. Maybe subway spoiled me or that other place in town The Madhatter where they take you to flavor town. This just came up short for me. The service is outstanding and it wasn't very busy for lunch. I would stop again and try some other sandwiches if in the area. Would definitely request more toppings.

For those familiar with Hungry Hobo, this setup will look familiar. You can dress your sandwich with all the toppings that you like and they have baked potatoes as an option as well. They also have cookies and salad salads available as sides. When you walk in you get in the queue to place your order and then the food is delivered to your table. Food comes out very quickly and Staff is great about checking in on you and picking up when you're done.

The place was packed (which is why we chose the bar), but we weren't disappointed. The restaurant/bar was well maintained and decorated - with a nicer type of vibe. People were dressed in anything from jeans to dress pants, to dresses, to suits. It fit all types of attire, but could certainly be the perfect date night spot. The food looked and tasted amazing. I didn't even get a chance to take any photos! We shared the chicken and Brussels sprouts, opting for extra Brussels instead of rice, and I have to say, these were the best Brussels sprouts I've ever had. Perfectly cooked, coated in sauce, not raw or charred. We also had the French dip with sweet potato fries and some of the sauces the bartender recommended. It was fantastic, not greasy or heavy, and the bread was perfectly soft. One of our sides was the chicken tortilla soup, which was also delicious. No complaints from start to finish. We'll definitely be returning whenever we're passing through the Des Moines area!
