I felt compelled to write a review after visiting about 5 times. I loveeeee Panera Bread. The food is great, the new location is nice and it definitely helps to boost the facade of Green Acres with the renovations that will be going on. The kitchen service however is ridiculously slow if you don't preorder online. Most times there seems to only be one person bagging orders and every is taking their sweet time while 10 people wait. What they don't realize is that often times people are here on their lunch break and in a rush. This morning I was beyond frustrated because it's as if they have no regard for people's time. I ordered oatmeal and there was no one else ahead of me. Why did I have to wait there for 10 minutes waiting for my oatmeal while the workers took their sweet time prepping items like salad for the rest of the day. The priority should be getting orders out the door. Pretty frustrating when you're in a rush. I still love you though Panera. I just wish the kitchen service at this location gets a little faster. This is my favorite Panera ! If you were thinking of going anywhere for clean fresh food it would be this location! All the ladies in the kitchen are amazing and they deserve a raise! Pros- A somewhat healthy fast food restaurant at the Green Acres Mall. The inside of the restaurant allows for secluded well lit seating and window side seating.The menu offers a variety of sandwiches and salads, soups, drinks, pastries at an okay price. The soups that I've tasted could be a bit better. but overall, probably give it a try if you're ever around there. I would most likely recommend the broccoli cheddar soup, the bistro french onion soup, the roasted turkey and avocado BLT, as well as the steak and arugula sandwich. As far as salads go, their take on the caesar salad would do just fine, usually I prefer the spicy thai salad with chicken and the modern greek salad with quinoa. Cons- The service is slow, often at times it could take upwards from 10 to 15 up to 20 minutes for your meal to come out.The staff also seams a bit young(nothing wrong with that), but as behavior stands with them, they could attempt to be a bit more professional.There is also a problem with insects, flies roam about the restaurant and its rather unpleasant to see them around while you're eating. read more

Mine love the chicken noodle soup, which even with chips is only 10 grams of fat (Compared to nuggets and small fries which is over 25 grams of fat) And this location has maintained high quality of service and cleanliness that you find at other Paneras. I don't come here often but it is the closest location to my house. I don't know why it has such a low rating but maybe I've just gotten lucky during my visits. Recently, I sat and ate lunch here on Friday and one other day about a week ago. Once with my mother and once with my five year old and infant. Both times I enjoyed the food and the seating area. My family loves the bread which we sometimes buy by the loaf. The staff is pleasant and of course real tableware is a plus. read more

"Yay! I'm a fan." is the description Yelp gives my 4-star review. I would say this is fair, I have been a fan of Panera for a long time and I still am. Their Pick 2 deal is revolutionary amongst their menu items. The grilled cheese? Life-changing. The kitchen sink cookie? delicious. The ten vegetable soup? unlike anything else. The bread and chips? iconic. Panera? bread. I have few complaints about this chain as a whole. The bread bowls are so creative whether or not Panera came up with and started this idea, it is unclear to me, it is still an amazing choice. What made me reduct my full 5-star review you ask? A recent debacle with a restaurant, NOT WITH THIS SPECIFIC RESTAURANT THOUGH! I found a fly in my salad. Unappealing and strange experience. I suppose this is a silver lining because I am not quite sure if I truly wanted to finish this salad truthfully. Either way, it is not the restaurant that made this said salads fault. This is a brand new location only a couple months old, and they have some kinks to work out. But the service is good and friendly, the thai salad is as good as I get it anywhere else. Didn't walk in here with too many expectations but standard, better than fast food food. I ordered the Frontega Chicken Panini with Mac & Cheese and the almost always amazing green tea (only to be disappointed by it). The sandwich was as good as I thought it would be, but the Mac & Cheese was quite impressive. My first time having the mac and cheese here and very upset I've discovered it (I may be running in here too much to satisfy an occasional craving). It was rich in white cheddar and lots of other cheesy goodness! Mac & Cheese a must have here. My green tea wasn't their usual - not sure what happened with my batch but it tasted like sugar water, no real green tea taste. The cashier was more interested in getting a job for the manger of another store than get my order right. Then everyone is corralled into a waiting area. Where you waited for your name to be called. After 30 minutes I finally got my food. Never again this location lacks leadership, professionalism and efficiency is certainly lacking. This is by far the worst Panera i've ever been to. The location is great and the seating is nice but the staff was careless and on top of that rude. The girl taking my order was unfriendly, there was no "hello welcome to Panera!", she just stared blankly and said with an attitude "yea?". But what really shocked me how she called the next lady on line to the counter by saying "WOMAN" and gesturing with her hands.... My sandwich looked like it was thrown together, the tomatoes were green and unripe, they forgot the croutons on the soup, and they forgot to give my friend dressing for her salad. 2nd time at this Panera location but I am an avid Panera customer both in the city and in Long Island. On Monday, Labor Day, Sept 7, at around 10 AM, I went to get breakfast as I was getting my car serviced at Sears. Although there was no one on line, I waited a few minutes as the man behind the counter just stared in space. After he called me, he proceeded to rush my order, never asking me anything as is customary with all of the other Panera people who are always nice. Mr. Zachary appeared to be extremely hung over, constantly rubbing his nose and eyes to the point that it was annoying. He was over dramatic as he spoke to another employee totally avoiding any interaction with me and upon check out did not ask if we had a Panera card which I did. I presented it to him and once again, the drama began with the rubbing of the nose, eyes and attitude. It was as if he could care less about my order as he rubbed his dirty hands over the small plastic cups. The only thing that stopped me from saying anything or asking for a manager was that the three employees at the front were all on the same page with the gossip and high fives. I get it, maybe theyre new and working out the kinks but they NEED a manager to crack the whip. I ordered an Italian combo with extra pepperoncinis, I get home (30 min away), the sandwich has NO meat??? Two slices of bacon, and lots of pepperoncinis... Let me start by saying I am a picky eater. The place has to look neat and clean like Mr Clean works there in between television commericals. Vally Stream Mall has him working there full time! I just love this place! I usually order the Chicken ceaser salad with extra chicken, olives and extra sauce. They are on the expensive side but the food is fresh so I treat myself once a week. I usually spend about eleven dollars and salad comes with , or chips. They charge extra for extra chicken but not for olives. Cashiers are so friendly as well as the one male manager I spoke with. Sauce comes in tiny weeneey cups that are half filled. A little annoying but very yummie. Soups are super yummy as well. Try them out if you want fresh but bring a few extra dollars! read more

But today, I finally stopped by this one located at Green Acare Mall, after a couple of month passed since it opened, I thought everything was ready. Then we go to order, we wanted bread bowls, and they had no more bread bowls, which was really disappointing. There was still an hr til closing so it was sad they had no bread at all. We ordered Mac and cheese and broccoli cheddar soup just in the normal bowls. The cashier told us there's still the baguette that your food is always supposed to come with.
