Pretty poorly managed place. In the 20 minutes I was there, every single person had a problem with their order (say 8-10 orders), including my own. While the food is commensurate with every other location across America, the way this place operates is just plain bizarre. A few things I observed during my visit: - Dining room cleanliness: Dishes were left behind on many tables and the ones that were empty had crumbs or leftover food on the tables. - Aggressive management: We seated near where the kitchen is and could overhear the shift supervisor/manager making sexually suggestive and or harassing comments to the female employees. I specifically heard him say "If you don't hang out with me after work, you won't get put on the schedule." I get it - younger people may tolerate this behavior, but it's a lawsuit waiting to happen. - Order accuracy: My order was incorrect. I inquired about it and they quickly resolved the issue. But I sat there and watched person after person go back up with incorrect orders or botched "to go" orders. At least $250 worth of food was sent back / wasted. I would not recommend this location and the owner of this franchise needs to wake up real quick. There is no way it will survive in this market. read more

I stopped in for a bagel My Everything Bagel was good. It was toasted and salty, and with the cream cheese I included made for a good small breakfast. The bagel is not a tough boiled NY bagel but is more bread style. The cream cheese came in a couple of small containers where I could better control how much to use, which for me was all of it. A real knife was included on my tray, much better than trying to use a plastic knife to do the spreading. Many of the reviews mentioned a lack of cleanliness. I made it a point to look around and thought the place was relatively clean. It was still early but I thought they were off to a good start for the day. I suspect I'm in a small minority, but I find ordering at a Panera not as obvious as other places. I arrived where no manned register was open, and no customer was waiting to order. Where do I stand? When one register freed up I was not called over, the order taker instead kind of just walked around like there was something else she needed to do other than take my order. I guess she couldn't figure it out, and finally called me over a minute or so later. This Panera also had signs pointing to kiosks as another option for do it yourself service. I should embrace technology. Pick up was at another counter, typical for Panera's. I went there and waited, it was not at all busy, and the bagel was ready and placed on the counter in just a minute or two. Even though I had to give my name when I ordered, it was not used when the order was completed. Is that my order? Obviously yes, just say my name when you set the order down please. read more

After eating here a few times in the past, and then having local meetups with a local group of girls, I can safely say I give this location a fan review. In the past, years ago I believe, I had issues with their online ordering, which is clearly not the location's fault, and the wait is always long. However, if you look around at their location, you would have to imagine waiting as every person passing by seems to stop by there to eat their breakfast / lunch / snack. There were many times the branch I was working at, I didn't have time to run out, grab lunch, eat it and be back on time. So, I would place a Panera delivery order, as this location delivers, for a certain time and boom, there it was and I would be able to enjoy my lunch in peace. While a group of ladies were meeting up every month on a Sunday, we had to change our time to later to be able to grab an area for the nine of us to sit down and spread our materials out and chat. One gripe is that no Panera in our area allows you to reserve a set table or has a community room. I really wish that they would consider making one at either here or the North Port location. It would me our social meetups easier if we were able to reserve the room, sit down, relax and not have the local negative Nancys judging us obviously. All in all, the employees here were always polite, super welcoming, and as accommodating as possible. read more

We ordered our lunches that were not prepared as ordered. When bringing this up to the manager on duty she was confrontational and actually blamed us both for the botched meals. I have to say this was my first and Last experience at any Panera Bread. Bizarre that neither the menu board nor the printed menu have descriptions of the dishes, you have to go to the website and click on the dish, then click customize then click details to read what is actually in a salad for example. I asked the cashier what was in the bowl on the menu and she had no idea. I ordered the Vegan Lentil Quinoa bowl, since it was the only thing on the menu that was clearly Vegan. When it came to the table it had chicken it, very odd. So they of course remade it for me. It tasted okay once they brought it out, very different from any bowl I've had anywhere else in that it had a broth poured over it so it was more of a stew than a bowl, the multigrain bread that came with it tasted stale. They wanted to make it up to me that they made a mistake so they offered me a side. I got the 10 vegetable soup which tasted like it came out of a can, not fresh at all, just mushy, salty and bitter. You go to Panera cause you've got a fav item and you want to eat fresh for a good price and quickly. That's what brought us in this time through Englewood. For me it's the pick 2 with a Greek salad and some kind of fresh turkey sandwich for my wife, the Caesar, And for my boy, today it was chicken noodle soup. As usual the breads were fresh, even our little bread sides were warm, my Greek was made with the perfect amount of feta, Greek dressing but curiously no pepperoncini, I like drizzling the juice from that pepper on the salad but other than that it was delicious. My turkey with sharp white cheddar had an apple slaw on wheat and it was superb. My boy crushed the bowl of soup and wouldn't let me even a spoonful! My issue with this location is the cleanliness. All the tables were covered in crumbs, and old drink sweat stains. Obviously we're not eating off the tables but it's still gross. The staff we interacted with seemed really friendly and quick to help but even a good meal and friendly staff doesn't help overcome all those dirty tables. read more

I got an email and for the first 30 day trial, I would get a free cup of coffee any day, any time, unlimited. I went in to my local Panera two weeks ago and got a free coffee, I also bought a soup and a cookie muffin which cost about $7.25. I went in yesterday and ordered the same items, however, the young gal at the register would NOT give me a free coffee .... something to do with my "account not being recognized". My total bill for this exact same order was $10.35, I paid and left, I will not go back to any Panera. I also canceled my subscription this morning and will just get my coffee from the local Starbucks or other coffee shop in the area. The order came out in good timing and a worker was double-checking every order that went out. He was also very encouraging to his other coworkers behind the counter. I visited this location today at 10:00 A.M. All of the coffee dispensers were empty ! So I went to the local 7/11, where they have coffee machines that never run dry. Placed an order online. Was there exactly on time. Cashier told me to 'go back and get it off the shelf'. I walked around the corner, didn't see a shelf, leaned on the pick up counter. I was the only customer at pick up. Person behind the counter (Brittany, Associate Trainer), studiously refused to make eye contact with me, even after turning around and standing in front of me. Cashier comes to pick up, sees me, never says a word. After 10 minutes, a third employee joins us behind the counter. After a couple minutes, third person asks me if I've been helped. I a mention my pick up order, and all three point at a shelf, where my bag has been sitting al by itself. Tipping on a prepaid order didn't help. Neither did customizing our order, as the onions we requested be omitted (unchecked on the website) were given to us in double quantities (see photo).
