I've never ordered anything here before but clam chowder and so Zach helped me with picking which one to get. I ordered roasted turkey and avocado BLT and Caesar salad. I was in and out within 5 mins! The salad & sandwich were fresh. Customer service is 10/10, Zach introduced me to their rewards program and told me about a free pastry. I signed up really quick and tried to get them while I was waiting, but it takes 24 hours to get to their system. I gave them a 5 star because usually someone wouldn't bother to even try and checked, but Zach was patient. I have always liked Panera bread. I agree that they are not amazing and nothing special, but I really enjoy the simplicity of panera and it feels kind of like home when I'm here. However, this location has always severely lacked. The food takes sometimes up to 45 mins to come out, even if it's fresh food like salads. But my review is on the customer service. Tell me why they always make me feel like im a nuisance at this location. I'll smile at them and say hello before I order and they just stare at me and not respond. For example, today the team lead at the till whose name I won't mention, made me feel completely unwelcome and acted as if I was a complete annoyance to her day. I assume most people think that if they wear masks and glasses, their facial expressions are not apparent to the customers but come on, of course they are. Either way, I enjoy Panera so I'll give them a 4 star instead of 3. That being said, this Panera is a convenient location for me, but I'd recommend a different one :) read more

I am normally a very loyal customer to Panera, but lately I've been getting tired of my food looking like they don't care at such a high price. I've been to many Panera Bread locations and all of them have been warm, inviting, and very convenient. The hours of operation are easy to get food on the way to work and during other lunch and dinner hours. The meals are fresh and this one has a pretty smart system! Upon entry, there is a automated kiosk that helps people order without the help of a cashier. I still chatted with the cashier and asked for their opinions, having not been to one in a while. I ordered and walked to the back to wait for my meal. They have a digital monitor that tells awaiting customers whose meal is being prepared and whether or not it was ready. There is a "rapid pick-up" shelf where online orders mainly went. When my order was ready, they called my name and I stepped forward to accept it. It was clean, there was plenty of space, and I felt at ease there. It smelled, looked, and felt like a Panera Bread, which made me comfortable instantly. The parking was excellent and I enjoyed the atmosphere. I'll be back, for sure! read more

I usually have a good experience but ended up paying 5.99 for a mediocre amount of salad on 04/27/19. This is my normal order, a half greek salad. So I know the amount that should be in there, even when taken to-go. I was very disappointed as I drove all the way home, as you do with to-go and saw it was this empty. read more

My first time trying out this bread castle known as Panera, overall not very impressed. Friendly cashiers seems to be the only redeeming factor of this experience. Food and service other wise was subpar. Having someone sweeping at my feet while I'm eating without so much as an excuse me does not make me feel like a welcomed customer. Food portion was laughable for $13, taste of the salad dressing is watery and relied on sugar too much. Made the salad tastes like a concoction of strawberry lemonade with lettuce thrown in. I like this Panera Bread. It's in a nice location, clean, friendly staff and plenty of seating. The food has always tasted great here and I love that Panera Bread locations have a self-serve kiosk to order from. It makes it easier for people like me who love to customize their order and not feel rushed. I also saw they have outdoor seating which is nice, along with indoor seating from tables to booths. I was worried coming here and it would be packed with it being close to the college, but it's always been a quick and easy experience. I wish their portions were just a little larger, but everything else here is great! read more

My father & I come to this establishment almost everyday! Sadly, today I found a lady bug in my caesar salad. I am concerned that the staff has bad practices of not cleaning the romaine lettuce before dressing the salad. The manager was friendly and helpful. She returned my money for the order. Panera is convenient but not worth the price at all. I got a cup of chicken noodle soup and a piece of the french baugette. The soup literally tastes the same as ones from a can. I've been going to this property for quite awhile, everytime I picked up my grandson after school. I always get their XL sourdough bread. I let them cut it in thick pieces and a bunch of butter chip and a bowl of cream of tomato soup. I'm not a fan of this place but since this the only bread that my grandson wants , so be it . There price is not even cheap at all but it's ok as long as we're getting our money worth. I came today and get the same order , the lady in the counter ask me how many butter chip I need. I told her a bunch then she repeat her questioned how many butter do I need. Then I said a bunch , she wanted me to Answer her with the exact number . I told her i cannot tell you cause I don't know how many chips is there in a bunch. So I asked why do you want the exact number , she said because it's for there inventory . I was shocked to hear that they are doing their inventory for their butter chip. We're some Panera's store would even let you get it in the bucket . I told her just give me 10 butter chip . I'm so sorry to have to say that other than really great employees and clean our food was horrible. My husband had the chicken noodle soup salad combo. He said that his roll was stale. I had the French Onion soup which tasted very very bad. My Veggie sandwich was horrible as well miniscule portions of veggies and cheese and my bread was so very dry. Eh, not worth the money, but I come here a lot anyways since it's so close. (I also low-key just get the re-fillable drink most of the time bc I have no monies) However, when I do happen to get food, Panera has always proven itself to be yums. Unfortunately, even with my many visits, they always seem to be out of stock for several of the items that they offer. It'd be great if they were more on top of heir inventory. It's a good study space provided you bring your own earphones to ignore the people around you and the somewhat loud music being played. Downside, however is that they don't have very many plugs on the tables that AREN'T bar stools by the window (aka the more spacious tables). I ordered sandwich boxes, salads and scones from Catering (Stephanie and Marisa) for a family with a very sick mom. It wasn't a big order, but it was a gesture of caring. Stephanie and Marisa made suggestions, asked great questions, and worked around problems with the computer system. These two employees are great assets to Panera and have the kind of style and attitude that would make them valuable anywhere. I appreciate their knowledge and efficiency as much as their ability to "make it happen", even when I didn't initially have the address and had to change the delivery time. During a time when companies say they can't find employees, let alone good employees, these two deserve attention from corporate management. read more

Ordered French Onion Soup and Mediterranean Veggie sandwich dine in. 3 stars for the food. I was prepared that the soup was meh and the sandwich is so-so. I was craving for French Onion soup and this place was the closest. I saw a pic of the sorry state of the soup on yelp so I brought slices of provolone and Swiss cheese with me and added it on my soup. I love Panera. Everything besides some of their prices. My absolute favorite thing to get from there is the Mac and Cheese. I used to go to this Panera Bread in the morning. I stopped going mainly because of their subpar service. It is really a hit or miss with the servers at the cashiers when you go in the morning. More times than not I was not greeted or felt unwelcomed by the server. They also kind of rush you when ordering in the morning and don't fully provide you with your options. I used to take my mom here but they gave her the biggest attitude when my mom tried to get a small coffee to go. Maybe they are tired of people re-filling their to go coffee cups and want us to buy medium sizes but that message was definitely not communicated clearly or professionally by their servers. Their food is standard Panera Bread fare. I once saw a fly soaring around their pastry display. It's an open display so I can't blame them, I guess. Overall, come if you are a fan of Panera Bread but don't come in the morning time expecting great service. And definitely don't order a small coffee to go or beware their wrath! read more

REVIEW FOR STUDENT/WORKERS....NO WI-FI?!?! This Panera limits your free wif-fi usage to only 30 minutes then it shuts off on you. Pretty ghetto for a restaurant with a double sided fireplace! (very pimp btw) I guess being next to Mt. Sac with the hundreds of students coming in to study here they are forced to limit the free internet. No biggie, I have hotspot on my phone. But beware! Other than that the establishment is very COZY and there's plenty of seating inside and outdoor patio. The food is always good and fresh and the workers are friendly. I really like their booths. Why? Because I usually sit for hours working and at Starbucks their hard wooden chairs start hurting my bum after 30 minutes. I appreciate the soft booth seating. I also haven't seen any benefits regarding the rewards cards yet...so I don't really understand the point systems on that. Same food (although taste is sometimes quite different at certain locations & SERVICE is definitely always different). This location is literally down the block from school. We arrived around 9:45am & it wasn't busy inside. There were two girls at the register & they looked so annoyed when we walked in, like we ruined their conversation or something. I felt highly awkward & wasn't sure if i wanted to order quite yet but since they were staring at me w/piercing eyes I ordered a sausage, egg & cheese breakfast sandwich with a plain bagel, my boyfriend ordered two spinach & cheese soufflés. The soufflés were going to take about 15 minutes to be done & so we sat down at waited. Our food arrived in a matter of minutes though & everything tasted pretty good. I remembered that i had a free birthday pastry so I went to get a cinnamon roll. I thought they would heat it up because I mean, who eats COLD cinnamon rolls? But she just threw it on a plate and handed it to me. I saw it almost fall off the plate too.. I usually like to get the pick two, it's about $10, more or less depending on what you get, and it comes with either an apple, bread, or chips. I like the turkey cranberry flatbread, it has a nice sauce that goes well with the sweetness of the cranberries. Tastes like thanksgiving in your mouth. The broth bowls are nice during the winter time when you want warm soup belly. And all the salads are good, I usually get half an order, because I feel it's more than enough for one person. I also like to ask for the dressing on the side because I feel like they put too much on their own. It costs $1 extra to add avocados, which isn't worth it because they don't much put on it. I don't like to send food back coz I am afraid the staff will split on the food I told the guy that took my order, that the bread was not toasted. He said, oh sorry.
