The cashier greeted me with a smile and was very approachable (thumbs up for that). I ordered the Chicken Cobb Avocado Salad with a side of Turkey Chili (you pick two) and.... Well. I don't really know what to say. I was expecting a salad with a little more greens than other fillers, but it was the other way around. The bacon bits were all clumped in one tight ball and the avocado slices looked very unappealing. For tastes, it was pretty salty, but it did its job of filling me up. As for the Turkey Chili, I'm a lover of chili and I have to say, it wasn't too bad. I liked dipping my baguette in the chili and eating it that way. The only problem was that the chili was slightly cooled. I partially understand because there were a lot of customers, but I cannot stand cooled down chili! This location of panera bread is located in the proximity of mt sac and walnut hs, so there are always students studying or hanging out here, sometimes more crowded than others depending on the time. But even when the lines get long in the morning, I've noticed that it goes by very quickly, and they get your order out in less than 5-10 mins. It's like fast food, but at a sit-down cafe. At this location, I've tried the you-pick two with chicken noodle soup and a turkey sandwich on rye. I love panera bread's chicken noodle soup. It's so savory and delicious. My cup of soup had a lot of chicken in it, so that made me happy. The sandwich was mediocre, just a sandwich. The other time I came in the morning, and had a breakfast power sandwich. I didn't know the portion size would be so small. It's half of a sandwich with an egg, ham, Swiss cheese, on whole grain bread. I got it without the cheese so it didn't taste as good, and I needed ketchup and mustard for some flavor. If you want something filling for breakfast, I suggest you get something else, or pair the sandwich with a cup of soup. The workers are super friendly here and easy to talk to. Went into here about 30 minutes before they closed and had a good dinner with my fiancé. We wanted something light but not like subway. The associates were nice and friendly. The price for Panera has always seemed a couple dollars more than it should be and for what it's worth. It tasted fine but the portions for their pasta seemed to have gotten smaller since he last time I had ordered it. The Menu has also changed as well in what you can pick for the "pick 2" The overall cleanliness was good. It was close to closing time so I know they were trying to clean everything so it was easier once everyone left. If you've been to the Chino Hills, Puente Hills or Brea (Hills? No? Boo..) locations, they're run a lot smoother. But I'll give them the benefit of the doubt, only because the food continues to be sexy. This is definitely a new lunch destination for my coworkers and I. Sorry International Deli, you've got competition now. =( Parking is a bish though. Everyone and their mother wants to eat here- always a good sign, right? But competing with McDs, Applebee's, Pandaria and the preschool (is it a preschool? I forgot now. That's how much attention I'm paying while driving in), there's just no room for the lunch/dinner crowd. You can park across the street at the Staples/TJMax if all else fails. I like Panera Bread but my first experience at this location was pretty bad. I ordered the Vegetable Pesto Soup in a bread bowl. When I ordered, the cashier said it comes with bread and didn't say that you could choose chips or an apple. So that kind of sucked that I wasn't able to choose. I also got a coffee and a brownie with my soup which was fine. I sat down and they gave me my food. They didn't ask me if I needed anything else so they walked away. I noticed that I didn't have butter for the bread so I went to ask for it. Then the other members of my party went to order and ordered the same soup and a sandwich. Then one of the people working there (not the same person that gave me my food) came by and said "I don't know why they let you order the Vegetable Pesto Soup but we don't have that today." Then I pointed out that I ordered that. And he said "Oh, really? Let me go check." And then he came by and gave the food. The problem with this location is that it seems like they don't communicate with each other. They should also learn the menu and what food items comes with what. I'll probably come back here again. I came into this Panera on a rainy Saturday craving their you pick two BBQ chicken salad and broccoli soup...boy was I disappointed when my salad was wilted, lacking dressing and the chicken was frozen, had an "old fridge" taste to it. I'm not one to make a big fuss (fearing the chefs might spit in my food) so I sat and sulked and just ate my soup. I noticed the manager stopped at the tables around me and I waited hoping she would make it to my table next but she never did! As I sat there waiting for the manager to finally come to my table I decided to fill out the survey from my phone giving them "very dissatisfied" on almost everything! So far I haven't encounter bad food prep or mis-order from this cafe. Ambiance: I like how the background music doesn't try to drown you (like in Starbucks...). People can actually carry a conversation without yelling, or keep saying ... "huh? what?"... So far I had: Sausage Quiche - very nice, warm and lightly crunchy crust. I'd personally prefer it way hotter, but the inside is still warm and goey and wont burn your tongue. Strawberry Chicken Salad - nicely prepared. Chicken is seasoned, the combo of the fruits and greens is perfect refreshing for Summer. Next time I will ask them to go really light on the dressings. Note:They use canned mandarin orange. Croissant should be fluffy, airy and crunchy and flaky. The so called "healthy juice" - I doubt it when they told me they didn't add any sweetener in the juice. It doesn't matter how much spirulina or wheat grass you put in the blender, but if that juice came out so sweet, then it might as well be another Jamba. I love Panera Bread, it is the perfect place to have soup and sandwich, a casual hang out place with friends, or to even get some studying done. This location just recently opened, which is a lot closer to the one I used to go to. I always order the "You pick 2" a soup (usually tomato crem) and the sandwich I wanted to have that day. When I went to this location, it was during lunch rush. I was actually a little worried I would not find a place to sit, it was completely packed. I waited a long time for my food to come, and my friends came five minutes after. It was very busy though. This location will do very well, right in the heart of the Village... This is probably the worst Panera I've been to. The cashier taking me order looked miserable and she also forgot to ask me what I wanted with my sandwich. I had to remind her and she wasn't all too happy about that. I got the chipotle chicken panini and it was extremely disappointing. It was just bland chicken, thinly sliced slice of tomato, one strip of bacon, cheddar cheese, and drenched in chipotle sauce. The sandwich was just oozing grease and it was disgusting I felt sick halfway through and couldn't eat it anymore. Charging someone $8 for that should have been a crime. Worst Panera location in the area, and I love Panera :( I am just consistently disappointed by this one, which is unfortunate because it's right across the street from the gym. Wifi is limited to 30min. Paninis aren't grilled long enough and fall apart. I got the chicken chipotle panini my last visit and the chicken was cold, as though it'd been popped right out of the refrigerator and into the sandwich, no grilling in between. Paninis are supposed to be hot. Salads are wilted and typically drenched with dressing, especially the caesar, and soups are lukewarm to cold. Baguettes have been stale every time I've gotten them. Portion size is also smaller than the City of Industry location. Sandwiches are TINY and they skimp on soup and salad, not that either of them are appetizing enough to really miss the difference. I also don't actually care about service, but it is always noticeably terrible here. Expect unsmiling cashiers (who don't give you the chips/bread/apple option, so speak up if you don't want bread!), servers who toss your food at you instead of setting it down on the table. If you're craving Panera and can make the 20 min drive to the Panera locations at City of Industry or Brea instead, do it. If not and you just want sandwiches/soups/salads or a place to study, there are better options than this in the area. Gets very busy around lunch, but it's a huge space, so there is always seating. Two stars because I do still love Panera :( But really, it only deserves one. read more

I work close by to this location, and my co-workers and I have ordered both breakfast and lunch here many times. Unfortunately, their inability to accurately pack an order means we can no longer go. There have been 5 separate occasions in the past several months where an order has had a mistake, including missing items, added items when they should be subtracted, wrong bread, wrong cheese, no forks/spoons included, and more. Once or twice is understandable, but nearly every order just won't cut it. We love Panera Bread, but it's not worth the extra drive back when they inevitably mess up again. At least they always correct it, which is a good thing. But hey, if you're the adventurous type, just order what you want and they'll surprise you with something else! read more

I've been here several times. Customer service has always been great. It is a very busy location that shares a parking lot with a few other fast food/restaurants, as well as a daycare/school and some other businesses. So you may have to circle around a bit to get a spot. I recommend ordering ahead of time using the app and then parking right up front and just picking up your order. Just make sure everything is correct before you leave the place as mix-ups do occur. The location is very spacious with both inside and a semi-covered outside patio which is very nice when the weather permits. I love pretty much the whole menu at Panera, but my faves are always the Mediterranean veggie sandwich and the tomato bisque soup. They also have some nice fresh lemonades and other flavored waters and their coffee is usually very good, as is their chai tea. If you can't order ahead of time, they also have their very efficient ordering stations and the wait times to get your food are almost non-existent. We definitely need more Paneras in every city! read more

My friend ordered online for 2 to go and I was missing my pastry. I came back even though I was in a rush in the morning.. they took their sweet time. By the time the manager came out, she acted like.. "and?" ...as if it wasn't their fault. ? Just apologize and give me my s*t. No one has time for this. Don't get me wrong, I really like Panera and have been a customer for years (not this location). My sandwich was off--the inside middle part was cold, not enough sauce, and I didn't know you poured the whole salt bottle in there, is that a new recipe? Wi-fi never works, and when it does it's slower than the line at the DMV. I do curb side pick up. No problem!!! But these last two visit my 2 cinnamon bagel was sliced and toast the way I order but both were placed between napkins. I had paper stuck on both bagel sides of the bagels and hard to peel off. . I called to complain and suggest they put in separate bags so this doesn't happen. I went here for lunch with my family. Menu is cluttered and confusing for slow people like me: I can tell the manager was annoyed at us since we were indecisive when making our orders. I don't blame her, I would be impatient too. ;-) I recommend just looking at the paper menu since the overhead menu is cluttered with different fonts and colors. I know the economy is tough, but c'mon: I got the turkey BLT sandwich for 8.50. Nothing special. It's overpriced for what you get. However, keep in mind that I'm a cheap bastard. I was still hungry afterwards, so I went to McD. I was expecting a good portion sized sandwich like you get at say a restaurant like BJs. I think next time I have an urge for a sandwich, I'll just go to the deli section at a supermarket like Albertsons for a better selection of cheese, bread, and meat. Something about soups and sandwiches make me super happy, I came here for lunch and dinner one day. For lunch I did the pick 2 and ordered the Chicken Frontega (1/2 sandwich) "Smoked & pulled white meat chicken, mozzarella, tomatoes, red onions, chopped basil & chipotle mayonnaise, grilled hot on our Focaccia." and a cup of Summer Corn Chowder (Roasted corn and skin-on red potatoes slowly simmered with sweet cream, Poblano peppers, and fresh cilantro.) For dinner I ordered a whole Roasted Turkey & Alvacado BLT (All-natural roasted turkey, Applewood-smoked bacon, lettuce, tomato and fresh avocado with reduced-fat olive oil mayo on our freshly baked Sourdough), a whole Bacon Turkey Bravo (Smoked turkey breast, bacon, smoked Gouda, lettuce, tomatoes & our signature dressing, on our Tomato Basil bread), a large macaroni and cheese, a bowl of Summer Corn Chowder, and a bowl of Creamy Tomato (Vine-ripened pear tomatoes pureed with fresh cream for a velvety smooth flavor accentuated by hints of red pepper & oregano, topped with our Asiago croutons). I love almost all the sandwiches, salads, and soups here... I say almost bc I haven't tried everything. I think I've had all the soups and the creamy chicken soup with wild rice is one of my faves. I like the broccoli cheddar/ chicken noodle next. The rest are all good too but I just choose to get my faves. The sesame chicken salad is super good. I think it might be my favorite dressing. I love all the turkey sandwiches. I like all the chicken ones. I like the chipotle chicken but it can be kind of dry sometimes so I pay extra for avocados. Panera is... well, Panera. I personally love their mac 'n cheese. It's not the lightest dish out there, but shell pasta with loads of cheese is pure decadence. On my recent visit, I grabbed a cream of chicken and wild rice soup in a bread bowl for take out. Yeah yeah, carbs. It was ok; it wasn't mind-blowing. I did like the bread bowl, however. I also picked up a triple berry scone (any pastry is $1 with an added drink to your meal). It was pretty good! I'm sure it's been up for display all day, but it still remained flaky and fresh-tasting. This location is somewhat spacious and has a lot of seating areas, which is perfect for college students who need to throw in some studying with breakfast/lunch. There's a lot of parking here, but it can fill up when it's busy. Panera is fairly pricy for the portions you get, but you're paying for quality ingredients. That might be a deal breaker if you're a quantity over quality foodie. This location's staff is friendly. Service isn't the fastest, however. read more
