This Panera, above the others in town, is the one that has never made a mistake on my order, and they are so helpful. You frequently see the manager paying individual attention to orders, in addition to running the restaurant, to make sure that everything is correct. Ordered a rapid pick up. I got the Fuji apple salad, lettuce was old and rusty; tasted like it hadn't been washed. Chicken was disgusting and I got about 1/2 of dressing in the cup when it is usually full. Will definitely be going to the Jordan creek branch from now on. read more

My order for 12:05 was 15 minutes late. Big crowds of people waiting for their take out orders. The one available booth had a damaged cushion, my Greek quinoa salad was missing the quinoa. I liked this Panera because it had outdoor seating and my pickup online order went smoothly. I had several instructions in my order and they were all followed correctly. Thanks for splitting my sandwiches and putting them into separate containers. The sandwiches were great as usual. I ordered coffee and liked being able to add dairy and sugar on my own. Placed an online curb side pick up order an hour in advance and it still took 35 minutes past the pick up time. On top of that they didn't give me my iced coffee, cream cheese for my bagel, and gave me the wrong sandwich. read more

The food was good, but this is the dirtiest Panera I've ever been to! The bathrooms were filthy & no one was keeping up with the dishes in the dinning room. Customers had to leave their dishes on the tables or pile them near the dish station. The garbage was inaccessible b/c of the dishes everywhere. Kinda scares me to wonder what the kitchens like! Clear example of how a few locations can result in deterioration of the brand. Significant customer service issues at this location. Ordered 2 salads for curb side pick up (covid times). Just a few cars so there was no major rush. Got the salads home and they had totally messed up one of these. Called the location and spoke to the manager who acted like he didn't care and asked us to drive across town for him to comp this (order was placed and paid for on their app). He was reading of the script and literally said policy is policy and asked us to call customer service if we have concerns. Cant blame him but got to blame the training he received to deal with customer issues. Rarely do I spend time on something like this but this is a large company with a decent brand, so did call up customer service and ended with an extremely rude customer service rep. Shocked how large well known brands like this self implode in their customer endpoints in a slow gradual fashion. Looking at other reviews this experience is not unique to us as far as this location goes. read more

I don't understand all the bad reviews for this one. I've been to a lot of Paneras all over the US, and this is definitely one of the cleanest, friendliest ones around. All Paneras can be a bit slow, especially around the lunch rush, but despite that the food is always fresh here and we've never had a problem with our order. Glad this is the closest one to me! read more

It's a cold, wet, dreary day and my husband and I were in need of something warm and comforting-but quick- for a late lunch. Decided on Panera and again we were not disappointed. I don't eat much( weight-loss surgery 2 years ago) so we ordered the ".Pick 2" Got French onion soup and a steak and white cheddar panini. SO good!! The French onion soup was savory , full of caramelized onions and a nice layer of cheese on top of some crunchy croutons. The panini was just delicious- thin strips of pinkish steak, white cheddar cheese, a few grilled onions and some horseradish aioli/ WOW what a great sandwich! The place was clean and not crowded(at 2:00). It was a great choice and we're always glad we stopped. It's consistently good snd reasonably priced. read more

Came for dinner a 5 pm ordered a French onion soup and a Italian comb sandwich. The soup tasted like they opened a can of Campbell onion soup heated to lukewarm sprinkled some shredded cheese in it and added a few croutons. It was terrible. Way too salty and could not eat. It later gave me a case of heart burn for just the few spoonful I had. The sandwich was not much better. The bread was ok but the meat way still half frozen with ice crystals showing. Although I did not have a bagel I question why they don't have lox as a add on. What is a bagel without lox and cream cheese. read more

I worked in Des Moines for a few months and my crew and I started becoming regulars here for their breakfast. Their bagels are delicious, they serve them quick, and they're not too expensive. However, Jordan Creek now delivers to some West Des Moines locations so for a flat 3 dollar delivery fee you can avoid the crowd. I've always been a fan of this Panera, so this review didn't start about the quality of food. They have always gotten my husband's and my order right and done quickly. However, today, when I ordered online for the rapid pickup and decided to change things up from my constant soup/salad, and do a salad/sandwich without bread, things didn't go so well. I did request no bread in the online customization and instead have it lettuce-wrapped. Which has never been a problem anywhere else I've gone. The gluten-free thing is very common and restaurants are easily able to do this, and without insulting you, in my experience. I got there to pick up my order a few minutes early tonight and heard 3 employees talking about me and my 'weird' order. Making fun of me for ordering it lettuce-wrapped and saying it was probably a "low carb" thing and talking about how it was so annoying, and "Pesto for the salad?!" Yes. Pesto. It usually comes in a little container for salad. Shouldn't be a big deal to swap it for the normal dressing. Not everyone who doesn't want bread is afraid of the carbs. Some are gluten-sensitive and it makes our stomachs hurt. Not a fan of this Panera anymore. The employees need to learn to not be rude. If you say "it's a bakery", yes you're right. I eat here because my husband enjoys it and I did too. I can pick things without bread...but apparently I'll be judged if I try something different. read more

Worst experience at a Panera I have ever had.....salads were missing ingredients, the sandwiches had enough dressing on them to make them inedible. We scraped off mayo from half of a Roasted Turkey Avocado BLT, enough that it would have overflowed one of the small to go dressing cups. The other was a Turkey Bravo with so much dressing it soaked THRU the bread so much you could not pick it up without putting your fingers into the sandwich....I picked off the cheese and turkey but that was all I could eat from it....We threw out 2 half sandwiches, on hindsight we should have tried to salvaged the avocado and put it in the salad that was missing that ingredient. Will be a long time before we try that again. read more
