Now the server was kind enough to give me a whole when I paid for a half but the sandwhich was super lackluster. Fast and friendly service is key here. I tried the new breakfast sandwich yesterday. When ordering I was asked if I wanted my eggs over easy or scrambled. I asked to have it somewhere in the middle but apparently that wasn't an option. I went with over easy and it was a tad too runny for me. Not sure if it was coming late for breakfast or early for lunch but this was awful. Almost 20 minutes to get a breakfast sandwich, wrap and a plain bagel. The place is half empty so being incredibly busy is no excuse... wrap was only half full, sandwich was supposed to be over easy egg (served scrambled)... luckily they were able to properly toast a bagel. I once loved eating at this Panera location, however my last 2 visits there were pretty annoying. This evening I ordered a previous favorite of mine, the Sierra turkey sandwich. First for the 2nd time they didn't have the bread they normally serve it on which I was okay with but after I got home and removed it from the wrapper I was pretty pissed at the pathetic mess that I found. Two thin pieces of turkey on a whole sandwich, with more onions, wilted lettuce and "sauce" than I knew what to do with for nearly $10.00. I couldn't eat it, I didn't order a mayonnaise sandwich! Our sandwiches took a little longer than usual, and when one of them was made, we were told they put it on a different type of bread because they were out of the bread that the sandwich is supposed to come on. That would have been nice to know at the register when ordering, because perhaps we would have ordered something different, or selected a different type of bread because we didn't care for the one they randomly chose to put it on...but were in a slight rush so we didn't have it re-made. Also, one of the other sandwiches seemed to be made somewhat poorly, lacking the bulk of the sandwich....it was just very small and incredibly thin, not like we had it in the past. The validity behind having only $$ for their price assessment is virtually nonexistent because there is no reason to lie to ourselves and say this place has reasonably fair prices. The food is liberal and health oriented but I believe it's not that healthy at all, and instead the portions are just so microscopic that it has to be a low calorie meal. Please let me know what's so healthy about a bowl of broccoli cheddar soup poured into a bread bowl. Educate me on how a salad that has about 10 bites of food is supposed to fill anyone up. It's a decent place if you are desperately trying to lose weight and in doing so you are starving yourself. If you want to actually have a meal, this place will ring you up to at least $20 without even trying. read more

This is one of the nicer Paneras I have been to. It is one of the largest, cleanest, and easiest to access. The staff gave us our order in less that 10 minutes of sitting down. And even on a packed day there was enough clean tables to sit at. Went through the drive through to get 2 soufflé for breakfast. Wasn't surprised when they didn't have the two I wanted or any at all even though it was before 10. They said they wouldn't have any for another 19 minutes. No matter what time I stop by or what day of the week it is, they never have any soufflé's ready. Seems like they miss a good deal of business due to poor food management. It also prevents me from stopping more often because I know they won't have what I want. Haven't been to a panera bread in about 8 years, since before I moved to & from Chicago. The prices are ridiculous for simple food, but for some reason people still seem to flock here in droves. My cinnacrunch bagel was good, but small, and hardly toasted. I don't even know how much I paid for it because i wasn't really awake yet, but i'm sure it was too expensive for having to put the cream cheese on myself. Cmon, even dunkin does that for you. I agree with Kitti O. about this particular location being "inconsistent". I do not eat meat, and I would say about half of the time I've ordered something "modified" to be without meat, it comes with the meat. For example, BBQ Chopped Chicken Salad, minus the chicken, is one of my favorites. However, more often than not, it's been coming to me with chicken on it. It's not a huge problem, but it seems to keep happening, over and over again. While the food is prepared inconsistently, I will say that the customer service at this location is great. I've experienced a staff member coming around to collect my tray and dishes several times recently, which is a nice touch! This location is less than one mile from my house and just about one mile from my work, so it's very convenient. read more

My wife went there to pick up bagels for a meeting she was attending. She ordered a bagel pack for $13.99. She ordered variety of bagels, sliced and a regular and a veggie cream cheese. She was told that they no longer make veggie cream cheese (not true) so she ordered scallion cream cheese. When she got to her meeting, all of the bagels were wrong and there were 2 tubs of scallion cream cheese and they were not sliced. All of the bagels they gave her were sweet (choc. chip, blueberry, French toast, cinnamon crunch) which did not go with scallion cream cheese. There were also no knives. She called the manager from the meeting to tell him and he said he was so sorry and would give her the bagels for the next meeting for free. He asked for her e-mail and said he would send a coupon. Well, that was in Sept. and still no coupon. We complained to the corporate center and they put $5 on her rewards account (you can't even buy a half sandwich for $5). She went on Tues. because a dozen bagels are $6.99 and figured she could use the rewards without spending too much of her own money. Bagels were once again incorrect. So she pent $13.99 and $6.99 and Panera's way of handling the issue was to give her $5. Seems to me the only one who came out ahead is Panera. There were 34 people at her meeting who all know how the Wethersfield Panera screwed up. The prices keep going up and the food and service go down. We are done with Panera. read more

I go to this location once a month to pick up RAPID order of breakfast items that include bagels (sliced and toasted), muffins, pastries, etc. for a company function. The first month everything went according to my order. However, on the succeeding months, going on 4 months now, they've screwed up my orders each time. The order wasn't ready per the RAPID pick up time: the bagels were not ready, and/or they do not have the items in stock to name a few examples. What is the point of calling it RAPID Pick-up if they start your order once you come in and ask about it?! Also, they have either a manager or supervisor in the morning, a girl who is so grumpy, rude and very unpleasant. A change of attitude would do her a lot of good as well as the crew she works with. read more

Biggest panera I've seen so far...also very organized. They were at the start of dinner rush and everyone had their orders placed, food in their hands in under ten mins (I don't know the exact time it could have been less, just estimating how long it felt) I got the sesame chicken salad with bread on the side, my friend got the chicken Caesar salad with chips. I was running a few minutes late and decided to try to save a few minutes by using this location rather than the Berlin Turnpike. I arrived at the door at 6:30am which is the posted opening time. The doors were locked and the employees were busy inside stocking the displays. After 10 minutes of waiting I knocked on the door. No response from the girl 10 feet away stocking the display. After another 5 minutes outside I knocked again. The employee looked up at me and I pointed to my watch. She just looked away and went about her business. I didn't even get inside to experience what I'm sure would have been equally pathetic service. I will never give any Panera location a dime of my hard earned money again. read more
