Not the greatest location I have gone here a number of times as it is closest Panera Bread to me and I am a Panera fan. The drive through is very convenient. Today they messed up my order, then tried to fix it and I left with a 1/2 salad in my to go order when I paid for a full salad. Another time I got a salad with no dressing. And a couple times salads with not enough salad dressing. (what's up with the salad dressing shortage?). One time I am pretty sure I got food poisoning from this location. I have complained on line and gotten a coupon for free meal in return however complaining doesn't seem to really solve the problems at this location. I feel pretty stupid for going here so many times. I can understand the mixed reviews as sometimes the experience is fine, and Panera bread can be pretty nice, but sometimes it sucks. read more

As far as Panera's, it's what you would expect for menu. But, stopping for a late dinner and they just couldn't coordinate the full order. My meal was luke warm, almost cool, by the time my hot beverage was delivered. It was scalding hot. Too hot to enjoy with my meal. I love Panera Bread and I am very excited about this new location on the Silas Deane Highway in Wethersfield. My daughter and I went for lunch last weekend. It was pouring rain, so the drive thru (yes, they have a drive thru!) was quite busy; it was quite busy inside as well. There were several people ahead of us, but the line moved relatively quickly and our food was ready in a relatively short amount of time. I had a You Pick Two for the first time and enjoyed my cup of soup and half sandwich. I am just excited that we don't have to travel as far for an easy, quick lunch. read more

I stopped by this week to grab some lunch. I am in love with the butternut squash soup with warm bread. I also got the Turkey Bravo sandwich. That is my fall go to meal. The food was good. They totally messed up my order. I ordered a Turkey bacon avocado and asked for no tomato and to have a grilled , plus a and a tomato soup. I definitely should've checked it before I left because that sandwich was cold and had tomato on it and my soup was chicken noodle. So disappointed. read more

So, I stop at Panera (purely out of convenience) a couple times a week. I stopped in this week, ordered my usual, walked down to the counter to wait for my egg sandwich. My friend's order came up, and I stood waiting for mine. After several minutes someone asked my name, then rudely told me my order was "right there," and pointed to a bag with someone else's name on it. I said, "that's not mine." They then asked what I was waiting for and told them "an egg and cheese sandwich." They tell me "well they rang in bacon egg and cheese." I reply "I don't eat bacon, I didn't say bacon, so can you make me a new one?" They walk away, get new stuff, then hand me the new bag. Ok, no big deal right? Until I go to eat my sandwich a while later (I was saving it for when I had a break at work). I open the bag, and there's BACON on the sandwich. So now the person ringing in my order didn't listen to me, and the person who remade my order is clearly a moron. I call the manager, let him know what happened, he kindly offers me a gift card through email, but I have yet to receive that. Not cool. I'm willing to bet he didn't speak with his employees either. Went through the drive through this afternoon to pick up some food for myself and my boyfriend. Brought it home to find that I had bread instead of the apple I asked for as my side, and when my boyfriend got home from work we realized that his half a ham sandwhich with cheese was actually JUST cheese. Nothing else. Although the girl working the window was very sweet, it doesn't make up for the fact that after a long night at work my boyfriend came home to a couple slices of bread and some cheese. read more

This Panera was a terrible experience. Overall, I'm a big fan of Panera and frequent the one on Deming in Manchester and the one in Hartford at Statehouse Square. But this one, I ordered a greek salad with chicken. The dressing containers were only halfway full. The feta cheese was almost non-existent. The olives were skimpy. The chicken, I'm not even sure it was the full portion, either. Whatever their excuse, it was a waste of my money and a lousy lunch. Going forward, I'll avoid this one in Wethersfield. The cashier was extremely rude who took my order. She had absolutely no interest in serving us and was very unprofessional. I was still looking forward to a good salad however. Their drive-thru does not greet you at all times, they just let you sit there with no update & when they do your there for like 5 minutes just waiting to order!!?? then they let you sit there and wait another 10 minutes after you've order just to mess up your food! I came inside and waited 30 minutes for a Caesar salad and the manager refunded me and wrote on my receipt "couldn't wait" .. WHAT?!! I've given this Panera so many chances because it's fresh food! but I've gone there for breakfast and I had to wait 15 minutes for a sandwich & THEN? they brought me the food WRONG and the GM tried to offer me a cookie? are you serious? how about offering me my breakfast sandwich that I waited 20 minutes for and am now late for work right??? the spinach and passion fruit power smoothie is disgusting and isn't blended well, full leaves were getting stuck in my straw and were visible! if your going to charge insane prices for good food, I'm not saying have it made and RIGHT in 39 seconds but come on! Have to say the manager was very personable and positive, really gave the impression that he cared about customer satisfaction. Nice guy. Food was good but pricey, though that is consistent with most panera locations. I wish the soup portion was bigger for the large size, definitely wouldn't fill me up by itself. I have a love/hate relationship with this Panera. I love that it is within a mile of my house. When my food finally comes out, it tastes pretty good. Everything else about this place drives me nuts. I am a fairly regular drive thru customer because it's easier than loading and unloading my infant son from his car seat. When you pull up to the drive thru it often takes a full minute (and sometimes more) for anyone to even acknowledge your presence. A simple, "Hi, welcome to Panera, I'll be with you in a minute" would be great. The first time I thought it was a fluke, so I tentatively said "hello?" into the speaker which got a rude response. The second time, I waited a minute in silence before driving up to the window and ordering there. Then there's the issue of actually getting my order right. Simple bowl of soup is inevitably missing either croutons or bread. Always one or the other, and it happens with such consistency I can't believe it's an accident. I used to stop at this panera all the time in the summer & never had an issue. Lately, service has gotten SO painfully slow, it seems like employees do it on purpose. If you're going through the drive thru, expect to wait at least 15 minutes, even if there is no one in front of you! I went last night for the last time. I ordered an Italian(which sucks since Panera changed the recipe!) and a cup of BC soup. i asked for no provolone(too pungent for me) and i got the tiniest sandwich! It was maybe 4 inches long, they didn't put any Sopressa or Ham on it, just 3 pieces of salami! I have tried the new "Order online" feature that Panera Wethersfield offers. One EACH of the THREE occasions, the order has been wrong. How wrong or difficult is it to order a bagel with cream cheese and NOT GET THE CREAM CHEESE! These stores don't even take the time to spread butter and cream cheese on your bagel, it is just plopped in a bag with a plastic knife. The new on-line ordering system has the staff putting your order in a bag, on a shelf, unattended. It is already paid for and there is no monitoring system, so anyone could take it. The bag is typically open, and it sits on a shelf opposite the trash bin. Not sanitary at all. I love the bagel, but the service and they system needs help. I have discussed with management after the 2nd time this happened, and again, with the 3rd order, it was without cream cheese. The killer, they have a spot for special instructions and they don't even read it! read more

Do not bother placing an order for pick up and selecting the time you want. Twice I place an order and they start making it upon my arrival. The 1st time I was ok maybe something came up and I still gave them another chance the second time I selected a time 20mins than the time I was going to pick it up to make sure the order would be a "rapid pick up" and of course they had not even started on my order. The person who was preparing it then is annoyed at me say she has other orders. When I let her know that this is the second time they make me late and that I would not use them again she said "I don't care if your late there too many orders" she then went and got her manager to come out to help her and starts stressing him. They are so unorganized and unprofessional. It wasn't until her manager told her something that she gave me a fake apology. This is the worst Panera location I've ever been to. I have been there plenty of times and had a bad experience every time. I got their macaroni and there was a nasty long hair in it which ruined my appetite. Another time I went there in the drive thru they asked me to pull around and they would bring my food to me. I sat there for about ten minutes until I decided to call and they told me they had forgotten about me. I go there most of the time to get broccoli cheddar soup, and since its on the everyday soup menu I expect it to be there during lunch time hours. Multiple times have I been told around 2-3 pm that they are out of broccoli cheddar soup. It's weird to me that they wouldn't have it knowing it's a popular everyday item. Overall I wouldn't go here again except to use up my gift card.. Actually I might just finish it up at the Berlin turnpike location as I've had much better service there. read more
