I came here with a couple of co-workers, the staff is quite quick and the food is pretty good, but again Panera Bread is pretty much standard all around the USA. I order the Chicken Noodle on a bread with a turkey and bacon sandwich with came with a piece of bread on the side. The Chicken Noodle was pretty good it had a decent amount of chicken and noodle and the taste was pretty good, the sandwich was pretty fresh, the amount of food that they give here is not bad, in the taste is pretty good in my option. read more

I've been coming to this Panera for years. Today I was very disappointed. I ordered a Grilled Cheese with Tomato and Bacon thinking that it was going to be ooey gooey with melted cheese. However that is not at all what I received. There was barely any cheese and the bread wasn't even toasted let alone hot. The place was empty and my food still took forever. To top it off I had asked the woman taking my order how many carbs were in the sandwich, she finally found it in her nutrition book by the register and said there were 31 for a whole sandwich. Luckily I didn't take her on her word and checked for myself prior to eating the sandwich because a whole sandwich is 62 grams. She gave me the count for half a sandwich. There is parking right in the front and overall, it was a good place for a quick lunch with some delicious food. So the last time I checked, this place is called Panera BREAD. Somehow when I went in there the last time (last night) they didn't even have baguettes. Nor did they have the bread that one of their sandwiches is supposed to be served on. They were also missing onions. My favorite part though was when I got my iced tea and it tasted like coffee. I don't know if they served coffee in the container prior to it, and didn't properly clean the container or nozzle, or if they just made coffee in an iced tea container. It was the right color, but the wrong flavor for sure. Both myself and another customer said something about the taste, and nothing was done. Lord only knows how many other customers also had to suffer through this horrendous beverage amalgamation. Thankfully I was able to reach out to Panera customer service on Twitter and they gave me this wonderful lip service reply... "We'll make sure this as well as your inventory concern is addressed by the Willow Grove team. Thank you for taking the time to bring this to our attention." It has been a long time since eating at the Willow Grove location. I figure I would try to see if they had a new menu. I placed my order to go. The bill came to $22.17 plus I gave a $3.00 tip. As I was waiting for my food, I was looking around the soda & take out area. The place really needs a high end cleaning from top to bottom. I saw a mouse trap placed under a cart with many droppings around the area. Wow just in plan site. Not very good. I took my food & placed it in the trash. Never will I go again. AWEFUL !!! read more

I love Panera Bread soups. My favorite is the Cheddar Broccoli but I can longer eat that because it contains gluten. The only soup they had available that day was Southwestern Corn Chowder. I was hesitant in trying it but I ended up loving it. We ordered more on Uber Eats a few times but then I noticed they no longer had it at our closest location but another Panera a bit further did have it so I figured ok it's still in stock/season.. so on Tuesday 8/31 We returned because my husband and I were in the mood for some soup. We called as we were driving to the Panera to ask if they had any SW Corn Chowder the person that answer stated that they did have it, I asked a 2nd time just to make sure because even though we were close to the Panera we could easily just go somewhere else; again I reassured that they had it in stock. We arrive about 2mins after hanging up. We arrive and I ordered the SW Corn Chowder and the young lady at the counter said they didn't have any. I was confused so I explained to her I just called and I was told that they did have it in stock. She went to the back to make sure. She comes back and tells us they just sold out. I said you guys sold out of that soup that quick, she said YES!!! So we left because my husband wasn't going to eat while I sit there and watched and plus I became annoyed. For some reason it was bothering me that they lied thinking if they got us there we'd stay and just order something else. I called the restaurant again while we were still on the parking lot and asked to speak to the manager. I was connected to a Manager named Chris. I explained what happened and he just sounded like he didn't cared. He then states that it's a seasonal item and it's no longer going to be available. I asked him why did the cashier lie to me and state that they just sold out instead of just telling me it's out of season so I didn't keep coming in, calling or trying to find it on UberEats and/or Grubhub. . He said why didn't we just order something else,I explained to him I have certain dietary restrictions and the SW Corn Chowder is one of the few soups I can eat. He said, "well what do you want me to do?" I said well an apology would be nice. He say, "yeah sorry, but maybe next time call first" seriously he wasn't listening to anything I said and he couldn't understand why I was upset. The first two times they did this I assumed it was a mistake, but the third time I realized it was deliberate. Wish I could give 2.5 stars... this location is very hit or miss. Today I placed a to go order via phone. I usually just do breakfast occasionally lunch. The staff here leaves a lot to be desired, mostly young adults with no personality or customer service skills. I limit my visits here due to orders being wrong in the past. This is one of the slowest Paneras I've ever been to, which confused me as I have historically gone at off-peak times. Yet every time I go, it's painfully slow. However, the folks who work there have consistently been friendly and helpful, and a little bit goes a long way. The menu is the same as at any other Panera, and everything has always been cooked properly and presented well. This particular Panera has two different seating areas; one smaller section around where you first place your order, and a larger section around where you pick up your order. My suggestion would be to get seating in the smaller section. It's much less crowded there. read more

Tasty Pastries and Sandwiches for the Afternoons. Panera Bread has a great location for the students of Penn State - Abington and the community. It is a great place to have a meeting, hang out with friends for lunch, or simply study with access to free wireless. The atmosphere is quiet and cozy. The food there is fresh, tasty and affordable. No complaints. There is a You-Pick-Two Deal there (if you want to be able to watch how much you eat), which is where you can choose 2 of the following: 1/2 of a salad or 1/2 of a soup or 1/2 of a sandwich. There is bit of a wait, but just a perfect amount of time to make your food taste warm and perfect. There is no preference for any specific food to get, because they are all almost great. However, broccoli chedder soup is amazing and deserves to be recognized. It is made perfect for a bowl of soup. All of the salads there are also very creative and delicious! There is also a Mango smoothie. A bit sweet, so if you are a diabetic, I prefer you not to get it. For others who enjoy frozen smoothies, it is very, very good. According to the Willow Grove Police, it is not unusual for people to have things stolen due to the lack of security surveillance in the dining area. The counter and the main entrance are covered by video surveillance. But not the dining area. Panera Bread in Willow Grove feat. suburban nightmare. This place is massive and was jam packed with weirdos the day I went. Service- The food came out fast. The people at the registers were zombies but what do you expect. Atmosphere- Terrifying. One table was totally covered in old food and spillage, the next table was by a drafty window, the next one we almost got attacked by a family while sitting down. There's nothing quite as scary as people turning into barbarians and chomping (mouth open chewing of course) on bread bowls when their soup is gone. That's a good way to kill your appetite. So many cretins. Food- Being a chain, you know that the food will be consistent. I enjoy a bowl of soup and some multi grain bread once or twice a year. It was decent. This whole experience ended with my friend and I walking to my car in the parking lot and coming about 3 inches away from being hit by a crazy lady's car! She then proceeded to back up, try to turn again, SMASH her car on the curb, and drive away quickly like nothing happened while never once making eye contact. Would I go back? Nah. Panera is, more often than not, a pretty solid choice for chain food. You usually know what you're going to get, it usually tastes good, and you usually are mostly satisfied on the way out. Panera in Willow Grove has an issue. They are not your typical Panera. I've visited several times. First visit: -They put my salad from a You Pick Two into a (small) to-go soup container. -My friend asked for the Mediterranean Veg sandwich with tuna. He received a tuna sandwich with 4 red peppers on it and nothing else. To their credit, the manager remade his sandwich with a full selection of veggies and apologized. I didn't complain about the (small) to-go soup bowl. Second visit: -All four of us ordered the Fuji Apple Chicken Salad. None of us received the Fuju apple chips on the salad. When I asked about it, they said, "Oh, we ran out of those." Well, now we just have a salad with chicken on top. A (different) manager refunded the price of two of our salads, which was a decent enough response. She also explained to their cashiers that they need to tell people that they are out of the Fuji apple chips. My biggest issue with this is that someone (presumably a manager) is doing the ordering for them. How do you let a main ingredient in a dish that you have plastered all over your windows and columns to run out? That's poor execution. And there is no excuse. Third visit: Finally some good stuff (and the reason they scored a second star) here. -My dad is big on monitoring his sodium intake and he asked for the nutritional information for a couple soups and the cashier brought a huge 5 inch binder of all of their food. It took a few minutes, but she went through the binder with my dad to find what he was looking for. But it wasn't to last...my dad ordered a salad with a different dressing on the side and he got the wrong dressing. I ordered the Fuji Apple Chicken salad (glutton for punishment, I guess) and didn't get any dressing on it, which is the second best part of that salad. When I went back up to get dressing, the guy behind the counter didn't see/acknowledge me for two minutes even though he was facing my direction. I don't need to be helped right away, but at least tell me that you'll be right with me. It's a shame that this Panera is consistently disappointing. I like Panera. I'll probably go again since the third visit wasn't as bad as the first two had been. But I'll go begrudgingly and only if there isn't a better option or I'm too lazy to come up with a better option. I love Cosi and Corner Bakery, and I want to love Panera, but at heart I'm a salad girl. I know Panera has good soup/bread/sandwiches (or I assume the sandwiches are good), but I have yet to experience a decent salad here. This time I ordered the Cobb salad without chicken. They did not have honey mustard, but I rolled with it. I asked for extra cheese since they do NOT lower the salad price even if you cut out the expensive chicken (which is really the biggest single cost of the salad). I was very surprised by the following: 1. NOTHING on the salad was chopped except for the tomatoes. It was literally a bowl of lettuce with a hard boiled egg cut in HALF (not even fours) and an avocado split in two (yes, I said, two) sitting on top. I have absolutely not idea how you are supposed to eat a salad like this without cutting them up? And, I have ordered hundreds of salads and never seen them served like this. Eat the egg and avocado, then nibble on naked lettuce?....no thanks. So, as I did not have a knife, I spent my salad eating time cutting little pieces of everything with my fork to join together in one cohesive bite. Silly. 2. They cannot seem to get with the times and actually charge a fair price for a salad without meat, even though a salad is exactly what most vegetarians would order. They do not offer a salad without meat (except the house salad), so you are forced to pay extra for meat you don't get. 3. They gave me a TINY cup of extra cheese, about the volume of a tablespoon to make up of the price discrepancy. Sad, sad. 4. The dressing they serve with the Cobb is a herb vinaigrette, and it is far too herby and not sweet enough. In my humble (extensive) salad eating experience, the herb dressing did not go with the Cobb flavors at all. I found it very odd. They need a fancy ranch, or blue cheese, or honey mustard for this profile. All in all, I'm probably done here. My friends keep wanting to meet at Panera, but the last 2 times were a bust as well for me. First time, I got a watery salad, which was overpriced without meat, and the ingredients were not very fresh. The next time, I ordered a shrimp salad, and the shrimp was incredibly watery and flavorless, and I actually got sick when I came home. I don't know for sure if it was the shrimp, but it was a few hours after.....so I've always been suspicious. Since that time I have not been able to have shrimp on a salad at all without being grossed out. At least those salads were chopped though.... read more

Panera's food is not all that. They try to seem natural and healthy, but they skimp on quality. I like the Republic of Tea brand that they carry, and some of their baked goods are quite yummy, particularly their scones. But their entrées? Methinks not. They advertise "Free wifi", but I came to find out that meant a 30 min limit. Literally, they disconnect your internet after 30 mins. They want you in and out, don't hang around and work or read or enjoy yourself. read more

Went in with a $25 dollar gift card that I got as a gift and got some lunch with wifey and baby girl and I gotta say that food was great. I often go to Panera for some quick eats and just chill out a bit and one day last week while going to Barnes and Nobles got a little hungry and decided to come in for lunch. The staff is a little "dumb" hahaha in a fun way I mean they kept screwing up on how to redeem my gift card but they finally were able to process it and use there Brain ! Lol anyhow ended up getting the soba noodle dish which was quite light and refreshing, some coffee, strawberry chicken salad and the ever so expensive but delicious lobster roll! I had to pay an extra $15 on top of the gift card but we got a lot of food and it all came with chips and extra bread on the side so there was plenty to eat and I was happy. Overall Panera is a decent place, I would say it's one of my go-to cafes around that I keep in rotation between corner bakery, Starbucks, B&N cafe, Cosi, and etc. They are pretty friendly and you can usually always find a seat. read more
