Multiple times, this particular Panera messes up my order. I get the wrong soups, the containers are dirty, I get avocado skin in my salad. Whenever I request for extra dressing for my Green Goddess Salad, all the containers are only one-third full exactly. Panera makes tons of profit, and you're gonna be so cheap about actually filling up the salad container? I requested extra dressing, not another container to split the dressing. Ladies who take the order can be extremely depressing and rude. Seriously, I come in with a smile ready to order my food and you frown the whole time I'm ordering without even looking at me? I ended up doing rapid-pick up because of their poor attitude and service, but they mess up the orders quite often. There is no consistency of good service with this place. read more

They are way over-rated. Their food does not look healthy at all. For my Thursday lunch i got a tuna salad-sandwich and it was impossible to eat. It was some tuna mess in between two peaces of bread that were really tough. Everything was falling out of this "sandwich". The bagel i got for dessert was bit better. I can't speak too much on the restaurant section. Those sandwiches have got to be pre-made and frozen at some facility, and then heated up here. This review does not cover the restaurant portion. I sometimes stop by Panera for bread or coffee from the bakery/cafe. While I would love to give my business to a local independent bakery, there just aren't many around and they rarely have the same convenient hours. Panera gets a lot of traffic, which means the bread is always fresh. Nothing like grabbing a quick french loaf to take home to my girl and enjoy with some olive oil & fresh parmesan. Of all the Paneras I have been to, this is the best staff with the best attitude by a looooong shot. Always nice to do business with happy, smiling people. read more

Overall this is your standard Panera Bread. Food is consistent and fairly fast even when they're busy. They have a friendly staff and they're always willing take your tray when you're finished. Gets crowded on weekends @ lunchtime. The dining room is somewhat smaller compared to other locations. And of course like every other place that has free WIFi, you have people that stay at tables way to long and only buy a drink. I usually get bread from here a few times a month and the freshness and variety are what keeps me coming back. read more

I have been there a few times now & each time the staff is very pleasant & fast. It is clean but as most paneras, it is almost always full of the annoying laptop people. My only complaint was that I bought a scone which was not fully baked (the center was all stretchy-gooie with uncooked dough). I didn't return to complain because I was not going back out in the cold. I will quietly inform them when I go back. I'm sure others went back & complained. read more

I just love Panera!!! Everything I've had so far on the menu has been great! Super friendly people and great customer service! Regret not trying it out in Cali!! My son also loves Panera! The kid friendly menu is awesome and he just loves that sandal cookie! My favorite is the tomato soup with Mac & Cheese. I have yet to try other soups. I'm just so hooked on that creamy tomato! I also recently tried a Tomato & Mozzarella flatbread which is absolutely delicious! I'm so glad they are healthier than other fast food places. What can I say... I am a #1 Fan! read more

Honestly worst service I have received. We came in to buy bagels to bring for the nurses at Hinsdale hospital since we had twins born. We ordered 2 bagel packs and 2 coffee totes. The employee bagged up all the bagels and gave them to us while we waited for the coffee totes. I realized she did not cut the bagels and when I asked her to cut them after she said "ughh let me take the next order in line and I'll get to it" she proceeded to take 4-5 orders and left our bagels to the side. (While waiting we witnessed the other employee taking orders cutting all bagel orders with out the customers even asking) We opted to just have them include knives and napkins so they would t have to worry about cutting all the bagels. (She didn't include and knives or napkins before this and if I didn't look we won't have gotten any) Finally the coffee was done.... nope she accidentally only put in 1 coffee tote when we ordered 2. This whole time they were serving the line while we waited. We saw a family order, sit down eat their entire meal, and leave before we got our order. Leaving not only did it take 30 plus minutes while watching them fill so many other patrons orders while we waited and we left with all 26 bagels uncut... who eats bagels like that. Make sure you have enough staff on the weekends to run your business. This experience was absurd. read more

Here's the thing: why is every Panera understaffed? Seriously, there are 3x as many people working at a Jimmy John's as there are in any given Panera. I like Panera's food well enough--it's nothing mindblowing, but good enough for soup and a sandwich--but they always have about three people behind the counter. And, the counter people also have to mix coffee drinks, which slows down the service significantly. Panera Corporation LLC, or whatever your name is, stop pinching pennies and put a few more people on shifts behind the counter. And while you're at it, stop pushing that My Panera card on everybody who walks through the door. read more

Strolled in for breakfast on Tuesday around 9am. Not much of a line and I got to pick my seat at my leisure. I like this location better than others (Fox Valley and Bloomingdale) because of those reasons. But the service is a little slow considering there was no line and I saw at least 4 employees bustling around. Food is the same as always since it's a chain. Seems like it's getting more expensive though. Either that or I'm getting poorer. read more

When I was eating dairy I ate at Panera often.  Now that I am dairy free I found it harder to eat here.  I learned that the chicken noodle soup is dairy free.  So if I go to Panera this is my go to menu item.  The soup is very tasty!  I'm sure there are more dairy free items on the menu I just haven't explored them yet. read more

Do they not mix the almond chicken salad anymore? How do you run out of all but a couple breads by dinner? Seriously someone didn't prepare. Cheddar broccoli soup usually the go to tasted as if it sat the entire day and didn't bother to toss it when it went bad. Rapid pick up needs to be monitored or moved to behind a counter or even have a storage that you out a code in to open your door since our food was stolen and we were forced to go with substituted options. His response was "dude, I'm sorry I can refund that for you." While I do appreciate the $4.99 refund from my $33.00 bill, the rest of the food was left on the table as I see it unfit for human consumption. We all know when there's one there's a ton. I will be contacting the county health commissioner. This is vile, disgusting, and unacceptable. From this point on I will continue to relay my experience on every available social media platform at my access until I receive a balance refund and a sincere apology. This is my first negative experience with Panera, however that child that was about to consume an isect that it made it's way through that establishment, is also my only child. While my reaction was not becoming of a gentleman , the fact that I did not harm an employee or destroy company property is a testament to my patience. Fail Panera ...2-3 years ago ...I was a frequent customer. You really irked me when your holiday bread was offered ..and as the season went on ..became harder or impossible to buy...Fast forward to today. I was about to hop over to Starbucks for lunch, when I see many signs for your holiday bread. Figured since the store is wallpapered with signs advertising the holiday bread ..certainly there must be an abundant supply! Ok Panera ..you have your second chance. As I am waiting in line, I am scanning everywhere ..where is the holiday bread? The pictures are enticing ..and I am fantasizing about having a loaf on hand this weekend as we decorate for the holidays ...behind the glass? No ...on a special table? Nu uh ...maybe on the wall next to the other loaves?? Nope. ...well there must be a holiday loaf safe ..to ensure loaves for all and without risk of them getting in harms way. I order my lunch for here ..and a loaf to go. I am told that there are no loaves available for sale. I assured the person behind the counter, that there is plenty of signage pointing to the contrary....surely I cannot be duped again ..."COME FOR THE HOLIDAY LOAF" the signs scream to get me in the door then ..ooops we don't have any!? Say it ain't so Panera ...a bread company out of bread?? I had the informer of grim news ...retract his earlier statement of no bread ..and search ..search until the bounty of holiday bread is recovered! He looked hi and lo (I witnessed this) and he then reinstated his claim there, in fact, was no holiday bread ..not even a crumb...So when my wife and children come running into the kitchen Sunday morning ..I will not be serving up slices of Christmas .. no I will be offering up my famous burnt pancakes instead ...maybe in a few years my beloved family ...maybe then, Panera can offer bread ..and follow through by actually having the bread ... btw ...the buzzer never went off, and my lunch went to waste. This Panera has gotten better since last year when I went there a few times and gave up (because the sandwiches were not prepared well, it was understaffed, and had a bit of a dirty vibe). I have gone a few times recently to see if I liked it any better, and so far I do. Most of the staff is helpful and the food, while still not fantastic, seems to be prepared a bit better - soup not quite as cold, sandwiches not as burnt. And like most locations, this Panera has a nice atmosphere - good for reading or surfing the net while having a bowl of soup. I will update if this location takes a turn back for worse, but so far, they seem to be doing a better job. read more

This Panera is okay. It's really busy, so sometimes during lunch, you have to wait a while to order your food. When you do get to order your food, the service is great as usual and the food tastes the same as any other Panera. This one gets a bonus star for having an outside dining area. Not many of them do, so it's really nice to eat outside on a beautiful sunny day. read more

One of the most frustrating experiences I've ever had. One cashier had a lot of attitude when I asked questions and tried to modify a salad. And then when asked what kind of bread they had for a kids sandwich, cashier replied "I don't know-- I don't eat it, I'm vegan." Once I finished ordering, I read my receipt and realized almost half of my order was incorrect. I went down to the line to try and correct my order. When my order was ready, I questioned why my strawberry poppyseed salad only had lettuce, chicken, blueberries (missing dressing, pecans, strawberries, oranges, and pineapple). Apparently a large amount of ingredients were out of stock, which is fine and understandable. However, I was not informed these ingredients were out of stock by the cashier or those working on line. I worked in food service for 5 years so I know how difficult it can be to get orders right and deal with low inventory-- however the communication skills were very very unsatisfactory. read more

My number was 548 and it was crowded on a friday at half past lunch. But that doesn't give them a pass just because their Panera Bread. My asiago beef sandwich came out looking as though someone stepped on it before putting it in the plastic basket. The frilly tooth pick was going through the top piece of bread to the basket. The meat was on the other side of the arena. And why would you bother putting a pickel next to it that was so dry the seeds could pop off at any moment and put someone's eye out? Worst Panera I've been to. Waited 20 minutes for my food. And I ordered chicken on my salad and didn't receive it, so I nicely went up and said I ordered chicken and it didn't get put on my salad. And the MANAGER was very rude and said she made the order and it didn't have chicken on it, "but ok". I have the receipt and I have chicken. She was being rude to all the customers. I eat here all the time. The food has always been very good and I love the You Pick 2 option that allows you to mix and match different meals. The bakery items are all homemade and fresh and the smoothies are amazing. I love that the nutrition facts are all listed so then I am aware of how many calories I'm eatting when I go out so I can go there more and not get super fat. The people working there are always friendly and it is never usually too crowded. My only complaint would be to put more rewards on the panera reward card becaues I go there all the time and I think I've only had a free cookie once. Well looks like Panera is going downhill. Way over priced!!!! Used to love eating at Panera and taking things home. Everything is shrinking and prices keep going up. Breakfast Soufflé's are over $5, bagels are sooooo much smaller, especially the Asiago bagel. So small and hardly has Asiago cheese. Before it was loaded with cheese and there was an actual hole in the center as a bagel should and had a big chunk of cheese in the center. Now they're small, not even in the shape of a bagel, looks like a bread roll you would find at a diner! When I called last week to complain about the bagels, I was told they didn't "proof" and "rise" long enough over night and to let them know next time I come in Renee said I had two bagels coming. I went in last night bought baguette's (noticeably smaller now) and the two girls at counter gave me the bagels. I told them about the BS proofing and rising story and why would they sell them that way, and the ones response was, "it doesn't matter, people would rather buy those than no bagels"! ......Huh?????? Ok, sure!! Sandwiches are so small now, the soup "bowl" contents is actually a "cup" of soup. French Baguettes have also shrunk. Stopped in to pick up breakfast and bagels. Two soufflé's and two bottles orange juice alone cost about $19. You could go to any breakfast cafe and get a plate full for that money! Don't know if it's all Panera or just Willowbrook. The Willowbrook store sucks! No wonder it's always empty. read more

I eat here a lot as this is not my hometown, and it's a consistent quick meal near my office. However last night had me deciding that this is off my list. I ordered a panini. They were out of the bread it normally comes on. Fine. I switched to a different bread. Dude behind the counter with gloved hands starts making sandwich. Then with same gloved hands starts cleaning his (currently) filthy work station. Stuff spread everywhere, trash, etc. Throwing out trash with same gloved hands. Wiping counters down with same gloved hands. Then he takes my panini out of the press (before he used a spatula. Forgot the lettuce, and with the same very dirty gloved hands is putting lettuce on the sandwich. I tell him I'm not taking the sandwich. The manager apologizes and just goes right away to the register to refund my money. Now, a refund is in order, but her lack of caring about the unsanitary prep of food is of MASSIVE concern. If I ever go back there, which I probably won't, I will be watching my food prep like a hawk. I do have a good mind to call the health department and have them spot check. read more

So I order from these f*****s and they skimp me on my f***ing soda. I ordered online and had a friend pick up said order and it clearly states on the f***ing receipt that I ordered one soda for $2.29. That is $2.29 I could have used to buy a f***ing swisher or even a god d*** chocolate bar. I'm tired of this s*** and it seems that all restaurants within a 10 miles radius tend to piss me off.
