I used to come to Panera a lot, but the food seems to have changed. I don't like it as much anymore.

So disappointing! I tried the Steakhouse Salad. Couldn't eat it. The "steak" is probably some gross food service already-prepared item. It was gross - like shreds of some kind of meat that is probably beef but probably not what you or I think of when we say STEAK. Gristly, gross. I also got the Mexican Street Corn Chowder, which I have had in the past. But today it was so thick and sludgy. Thick soup is usually a good thing, but this was just not right - like it sat too long and the liquid evaporated too much - anyway - it was also gross. I also tried the new Dubai Chocolate Cookie. Not gross, but nothing special. Didn't taste like anything much other than a mildly chocolate flavored cookie. The baguette that came with the soup was good, so that's what I ate, after spending maybe $38 on this inedible meal. Panera is really not the same any more. Very sad. read more

I waited 20 minutes for 2 sandwiches and 2 soups. I got home and missing my entire sandwich... the manager said "oh yeahh that tuna sandwich it came out like 30 seconds after you walked out"...... a very unprofessional answer. I received a free cookie for my inconvenience.... If it were my establishment the sandwich would be free due to the inconvenience and lack of basic customer service skills:( I will not be back. I come to Panera mostly for the cinnamon crunch bagel with no butter or cream cheese... Just toasted. It is very sweet that I would not recommend adding anything sweet to it. Today, I was extremely hungry that I also ordered for the first time the Chicken Thai. Salad. I apologize that I forgot to take a picture of it, due to my hunger. Anyway, I probably will not order again. It wasn't the best... So it must've been healthy. Lol. I've never been inside only drive through. Their customer service is good. They have an outside sitting area which appears to be comfortable. I do not like the design of the parking lot as you have to take special care to not hit pedestrians as you enter the drive through. Although we're frequent visitors to Panera in several locations, unfortunately I must rate my hometown Panera at the bottom of them. On our last visit for breakfast neither my wife nor I got what we ordered. My wife ordered a spinach and bacon soufflé and instead got the artichoke soufflé. I ordered the chipotle chicken egg breakfast wrap. What I received was the wrap sans the chicken. As unannounced substitutes they were both delicious, but not what we ordered. Our other observation was the cleanliness of the tables and floor. We understand that during the breakfast crunch it's challenging to keep things clean. But we arrived past crunch time. We were pressed to find a clean table to sit down at. In addition to this the carpet in the dining area needed attention for the various food and paper stuff scattered throughout. Usually at this restaurant we see the managers present and on top of every facet of the operation. On this visit we didn't see them and the result of their absence was obvious. This is the first time I've given just a one star rating. Will we be back? Yes - but we'll expect a much better experience than this. read more

So for the first time I used drive thru. I was surprised at how quickly the line moved. I ordered the Sesame Asian chicken salad and flat bread pepperoni pizza. Omg to my surprise it was ready when I got to the pickup window and once home the pizza was still warm . Enjoyed every bite of both. Service was quick and staff was friendly. The employees at this location are racist and incompetent. I have had to be refunded the last 2 times I have been. First I ordered a chicken sandwich and a chicken salad neither one had chicken on it. I was refunded after driving 20 mins across town. Tonight I ordered another chicken salad no onions. Again no chicken on the salad. When I called you could hear the employees laughing about the ordeal. I will never ever go back to penera again. Your employees are racist and are in need of training or reading classes. Nothing is funny about kids fanning you business into the ground. These two incidents are not coincidental I am black tell me how this appens twice in less than a month. On top of it all one of your employees threw something at my car. Haven't been to a Panera Bread in a while. We went there because we were in the area and wanted outdoor area that had good shade for lunch. The tables and chairs did not look that clean although the sign says they clean it for us. The problem was food. I thought the broccoli cheddar soup was as runny as broth with a couple of small pieces of broccoli. I remember when that used to be more cheesy and thick. They must just add more water as they run low! Chipotle bacon and cheese sandwich was also unimpressive. We stopped going there because the price was too high for the quality and quantity of food. This is my favorite Panera Bread!!! They have the best associates, amazing fresh food, and always go above and beyond. Last night I ordered my "custom sandwich." I highly recommend ordering the Chipotle Chicken Avocado Sandwich, but instead of the shredded chicken, ask for the "lemon citrus chicken" It's phenomenal!!!! Today, at about 4pm, I was feeling a little light in my head and being a diabetic I recognize the warning signs, eat soon or have a glycemic event. I don't usually do fast food burgers so I racked my brain for an alternative. Bingo..Panera Bread. I have never been inside Panera but had heard their food was a good alternative. There was one fellow ahead of me and picking up what I consider to be a fairly large order..the young lady completing the order did not look up to say, "I will be with you in a bit" No eye contact. Nothing. A manager looking person walked by and no, "are you being helped?" Nada. Another customer walks in behind me. She smiled at me and I returned the smile. Finally. My turn. Large chicken soup, bottle of water please. She hands me one of those electronic buzzers that will go off when my order is ready. I say thank you. She says..wanna receipt? The food is delicious and attractive. The service is always really good. The ambiance is usually good except for some areas.

This location is a Corporate location and is my favorite in the area. I always go out of my way to come here because the staff and managers are very helpful and friendly. You also get the most for your money here and large portions. I definitely recommend this location. read more

I can get a good everything bagel with cream cheese, I can get a good soup and sandwich combo, I can work all day using the internet to download and upload files for clients ... Two days at this one, no plain cream cheese... I ask for the bagel double toasted, came out cold and not even starting to brown inside ... Soup was cold, sandwich was fine ... I've been waiting 4 hours to finish uploading photos that would have taken 30 minutes at McDonald's or 10 minutes at Starbucks ... 6/5/15 Drive-thru was packed for the morning rush. Got my typical everything bagel, split, toasted, and veggie smear. Wait, you no longer carry the veggie cream cheese?! Really? The bubbly cashier suggest onion and chive... Okay that'll work. Decided to try the bacon, egg, cheese souffle. NOPE! Out of all souffle flavors at 7:30 am! I could hear her moving about, checking. They have really good for reasonable prices. Also they offer free internet whether you're a customer or not. The only retason I give it a 4 out of 5 is during a lot times the place is massively packed and the wait time is huge. When things are slow, everything flows. Other than that the customer service is pretty good. Oh and for breakfast, you have to try the souffles! I would recommend this place for lunch or dinner. They have amazing soups. And their mac and cheese. Oh my god, don't get me started on the mac and cheese. I believe they have THE BEST mac and cheese of any other location I have tried. The only thing I don't like is thei french roll bread, it's really hard to bite into. For people with teeth problems, I would recommend the dinner rolls, they are a good replacement. Also if you want to cut the line and really enjoy eating at Panera, I'd recommend downloading and ordering through their phone app. It would really save time, especially during peak hours. For many years, I was a fan, but no more. Their food is good, and their restaurant is clean, but they have not given me the soup I ordered three times now when ordering at the drive-thru window. This past time, my wife called to complain about our missing soup. They sent her a letter entitling her to a $6 beverage or food item, which is less than the cost of the soup, of course. My wife ordered take out from Panera Bread yesterday for a going away party yesterday-BIG mistake. They delivered the soup and the salads,but they left out the sandwiches. When she called them, they said that they would have them right out. An hour later, when she called back they again said they would have them right out. An hour later she called again and got a manager who basically said that it was her fault because she had placed an order when they had 57 other orders in the queue. They never did get the sandwichs that they paid for. In business, when your demand exceeds you service levels, your demand decreases to meet your service levels. Morale of the story, never order take out from Panera Bread in Winter Haven. While we will eat at Panera again, never again will we order take out. read more

Okay, first of all, what the heck?! I've gone to this Panera plenty of times and the last two times including today have been horrible food service. I felt like I was basically getting rationed the amount of soup I got or salad or even sandwich. Today, I ordered "chipotle chicken sandwich" or that's what it was supposed to be. I added hummus, horseradish, and spinach. First, glance my tomato soup was dripping down the side and it looked like they poured some back out from the looks of it and then at the sandwich it was so messy. The moment I picked it up, the bread was so hard my teeth hurt from biting into it, not to mention everything was falling out. Then it was missing the chicken, had cucumbers on it and I didn't ask for, the hummus was so much it was 80% hummus and cheese? It was missing a lot more other toppings too. The more I bit into it the worse it got. By the fourth bite attempt, my stomach started hurting so bad, I had to run to Paneras bathroom and everything came back up and also the other end and suffered pretty sure - food poisoning. My boyfriend also got a blueberry scone which was rock solid and we were just so mad about the whole thing we just left. Not to mention we're college students who live almost 40 minutes away from this place and we actually enjoy Panera but this was unfortunately our last straw and we will not be coming back. I love panera bread today we tried the winter haven location for we just moved here. I prefer panera for lunch or dinner option more so than breakfast because there is a bigger selection, currently being pregnant most things with eggs in them haven't done so well with the little one so all that leaves as a breakfast option is bagels pastries or oat meal so tried the new strawberry pecan oat meal which is a great choice when eggs can't do. The best bagel is the cinnamon crunch bagel they have if your ever looking it's sweet and goes well with the hazelnut cream cheese :) read more

They have a self service kiosk which you do your own order, get your own beverage cup, pick up your own order, then bus your own table. First I ordered 3- half a salad which it cost $7.39 each and is probably a 1/4 if size of the regular size salad which is 10.00- the most discussing part of this that thrown on top of our salads, napkins and utensils was three exposed pieces of bread, sticking out of our tiny paper bag- it was exposed, it was not bagged and I have never - ever had this experience at any other Panera's!! I will never eat a bread that has been exposed, handled and just thrown into my bag- when I told the cashier, she said that is how management had told them to hand out the bread- well if that is true the Health Department should be looking into this!
